Stan Vickers
FLOYDADA -- Funeral services for Stan Vickers, 68, of Tulia will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church in Floydada.
Burial will be in Floydada cemetery by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.
Mr. Vickers died Sunday, May 22, 2005, in Tulia Health and Rehab Center.
He was born Feb. 8, 1937, in Mountain View, Okla., the son of James and Vera Vickers. He was a 1955 graduate of Floydada High School and had worked in the oil industry as a salesman. He moved to Tulia from Canyon in 2004. He enjoyed sports and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Canyon.
Survivors include two sons, Chad Vickers of Killeen and Garth Vickers of Katy; a brother, Bob Vickers of Lubbock; and four sisters, Juanita Stoeser of Hayes, S.D., Sammie McCulloch of Amarillo, Fran James of Cullman, Ala., and Gayle Scott of Tulia.
Five brothers and two sisters are deceased.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, 3411 73rd St., Lubbock, TX.

Billie McCreary Johnson
Graveside services for Billie McCreary Johnson, 94, of Plainview, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Hale Center cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Cameron, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating and Jim Fullingim assisting.

Mrs. Johnson died Wednesday, June 15, 2005, at Legend of the Plains Nursing Center in Hale Center.
She was born Feb. 8, 1911, in Holdenville, Okla. She married
Noel “Jack” Johnson on Oct. 6, 1928, in Olton. He died Dec. 2, 1994.
Mrs. Johnson moved to Hale Center in 1926 and graduated from Hale Center High School in 1930. She lived in the Hale Center area 29 years before living in surrounding areas.
She attended cosmetology school and owned and operated beauty shops in Hale Center, Plainview and Hereford. She was employed with dress shops in Amarillo and Skibell´s in Lubbock. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Johnson of Plainview and Jack Johnson of Hale Center; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Two grandsons are deceased. Taylor Johnson died in August 1979 and Parker Johnson died in January 1990.
Family visitation and viewing will be from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Freeman-Abell Funeral Home.

Timothy Dean King
Funeral services for Timothy Dean King, 46, of Amarillo, formerly of Plainview, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Assembly of God with Emmitt Tipton, a church layman, officiating.

Mr. King died Tuesday, June 14, 2005, in Amarillo.
He was born June 24, 1958, in Eaton Rapids, Mich., and graduated from Eaton Rapids High School in 1976. He attended Lansing Community College and Amarillo College and graduated from the South Plains Association of Governments Police Academy.
King served with the Portales Police Department (1981), Plainview Police Department (1981-89) and Tulia Police Department (1991-93). He also served as a reserve officer for the Hale Center Police Department.
In 1993, Mr. King began working at the Tulia Detention Center before joining the Texas Department of Criminal Justice´s prison system, working at the Wheeler-Formby units in Plainview from 1995-2004. He was serving at the Amarillo Clements Unit at the time of his death.
He served as organist at First Assembly of God from 1982-99 and was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church and had worked with the 180 youth program. He also was a member of the Southwest Baseball Umpires Association and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing and baseball with his sons.
Survivors include four sons and one daughter-in-law, Jared Michael and Laci King and Jordan Matthew King, Jacob Malachi King and Jayden Mark King, all of Plainview; his parents, Lyle D. and Dorothy King of Dimondale, Mich.; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert L. and Jackie King of Charlotte, Mich.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Julie and Don McLain of Holt, Mich., and Lynette and Mike Mayotte of Grand Lodge, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Penne Spencer King.
The family suggests memorials to Trinity Fellowship Church 180 Youth Program.

Roy Dale Baccus
LOCKNEY -- Funeral services for Roy Dale “Rusty” Baccus, 84, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in First United Methodist Church with Frank Duckworth and the Rev. Kyle Brock officiating.
Burial will be in the Lockney cemetery by Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
Mr. Baccus died Sunday, June 19, 2005 in Lubbock.
He was born Nov. 5, 1920, in Estelline to R.P. and Lela Groom Baccus. He graduated from Estelline High School in 1938 and attended Southern Methodist University on football and basketball scholarships.
After graduating in 1941, followed by military service, he returned to SMU to coach basketball.
In 1947, Mr. Baccus came to Lockney with his brother Whitey with whom he owned and operated the Ford Motor Company dealership. After his brother returned to Dallas in the 1950s, he continued to own and operate Baccus Motor Company until 1980. He then owned Baccus Real Estate in Lockney for several years.
Mr. Baccus was a member of First United Methodist Church where he served as a steward and as a member of the Building Committee for the sanctuary as well as other church committees. He also served as president of the Lockney Hospital District for a number of years and was also a member of the Lockney Senior Citizens.
On July 5, 1950, he married
Jody Marsh in Clovis, N.M.
Survivors include his wife Jody; two sons, Bruce of Plano and wife Mary, and Brad of Horseshoe Bay; and one sister, Nettie Segrest of Southlake. Also surviving are five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jack Baccus of Brownfield and Whitey Baccus of Bonham.
The body will be at Adams Funeral Home this evening. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church fellowship hall. The family suggests donations to Lockney Senior Citizens or a charity of choice.
