Gene Craig
Funeral services for Gene Craig, 82, will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ with Colquitt Nash, minister, officiating.

Mr. Craig died at 9:48 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, in Baptist St. Anthony´s Hospital in Amarillo.
He was born May 8, 1923, in Sherman to Cecil B. and Lilian May Craig. He graduated from Plainview High School and served in the Army during WWII as a radar technician.
He married
Billie Dean Trussell on Oct. 15, 1948, in Kress. She died Aug. 10, 2005.
Mr. Craig retired from Southwestern Public Service Company after 38 years of employment. He had a great love for airplanes and held a pilot´s license. He served on the airport board and was a member of Ninth and Columbia Church of Christ.
Survivors include a brother, Douglas Craig of Bellingham, Wash.; six nieces and one nephew.
His wife, parents, one sister and one brother are deceased.

Hershel Henderson

Mr. Henderson died at 2:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005.
A life-long resident of Plainview, he was born Nov. 9, 1919, in Hale Center to James M. and Ella D. Moore Henderson.
Mr. Henderson served in the Army medical corps during World War II.
He married
Doris Ann Armstrong on Feb. 6, 1948, in Meadow. They moved to Plainview after they married
. He worked as a carpenter until he retired.
Mr. Henderson was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Allan and wife Beverly Henderson of San Angelo and Ted Henderson of Hemet, Calif.; two brothers, Edell Henderson of Denison and Gene Henderson of Lewisville; three sisters, Evalene McDonald of Plainview, Inez Hill of Wichita, Kan., and Jessie Stanton of Culver, Calif.; and three granddaughters.
