Pauline Maxey
SLATON - Funeral services for Pauline Maxey, 87, were at 10 a.m. today in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Cleve Kerby officiating.
Burial was in Englewood cemetery by Englunds Funeral Service.
Mrs. Maxey died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2002.
She was born Nov. 19, 1914, in Clovis, N.M. She moved to Slaton in 1924 from Plainview and graduated from Slaton High School in 1931.
She lived in North Plains and Pecos before returning to Slaton in 1989.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Pecos and Slaton and taught the Friendship Sunday School Class at Slaton for many years. She was a member of Slaton Garden & Arts Club, Athenian Study Club and Caprock China Club.
On Jan. 27, 1932, she married
J.J. Maxey in Slaton. He died Jan. 27, 1986.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula Hudgins-Praagman of Houston and Pam Jones of Tulia; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A grandson is deceased.

Claudelle Norman
Memorial services for Claudelle Norman, 75, will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Wood-Dunning Funeral Home.
Mrs. Norman died at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 5, 1927, in Lockney where she grew up and graduated from high school. She lived in Plainview for 40 years and was assistant manager of Wayland Baptist University Book Store.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Norman of Dimmitt and Randy Norman of Phoenix Ariz.; one sister, Lena Faye Alford of Plainview; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Thomas Perkins Sr.
SILVERTON - Graveside services for Thomas Lee “Irishman” Perkins Sr., 66, were at 2 p.m. today in Silverton cemetery with Edwin Norris of Silverton officiating.
Burial arrangements were by Myers-Long Funeral Directors.
Mr. Perkins died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002.
He was born Nov. 30, 1935, in Silverton. He farmed in the Silverton area until April of 1979 when he became Silverton water superintendent. He retired in 2000.
On March 5, 1958, he married
Rose Mary Auston in Plainview.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Roselee “Suzie” McCoy of Happy; three sons, Danny Perkins of Mesquite, Tommy Perkins of Springfield, Mo., and Walter Perkins of Amarillo; two brothers, John Perkins of Childress and William “Son” Perkins of Newpaltz, N.Y.; four sisters, Frances Edwards of Silverton, Joyce Simmons of Burkburnett, Jean Offield of Henrietta and Belle Griffin of Weatherford; and seven grandchildren.

Frank Watson
AMARILLO - Funeral services for Frank Watson, 49, former Floydada resident, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church in Roaring Springs.
Burial will be in Roaring Springs cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be at 7:30 p.m. today in Southwest Baptist Church in Amarillo with the Rev. Randy Srader officiating.
Mr. Watson died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002.
He was born in Matador and attended school in Roaring Springs. He graduated from Floydada High School in 1971. He moved to Canyon in 1974 and worked for Owens Corning for 20 years as a supervisor.
He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church.
On Aug. 10, 1974, he married
Kay Russell in Floydada.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Libby Watson of Amarillo; his mother, Betty Watson of Amarillo; two sisters, Brenda Hill and Tammy Sellers, both of Amarillo; two brothers, Mike Watson of Amarillo and Barry Watson of Iowa Park; and two grandchildren.

Wynona Allison
LOCKNEY - Graveside services for Wynona Allison, 88, of Plainview, were at 2 p.m. today in Lockney cemetery with Russell Harris officiating.

Mrs. Allison died Wednesday morning, Nov. 27, 2002, in Plainview.
She was born March 3, 1914, in Lockney, the daughter of the late Luther A. and Mamie Smith Wofford. She attended Lockney and graduated from Sayer (Okla.) High School.
She lived in Lockney most of her life until moving to Plainview in 1997.
She was a member of the Pollyanna Club and an avid quilter. She had worked as a beautician and real estate agent. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She married
Olson C. Allison on Jan. 12, 1931, in Sayer. He died in 1995.
Survivors include a son, Don Allison of Dallas; a daughter, Darla Cross of Plainview; two sisters, Gwen McPherson of Midland and Una Faye Whitfill of Silverton; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Leon and Lloyd Wofford, and a daughter, Diana Allison, are deceased.
