Maria Jacques
BALLINGER - Funeral Mass for Maria Jacques, 94, former Plainview resident, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Latin-American cemetery by Rains-Seale Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Rains-Seale Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Jacques died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, in a Ballinger nursing home.
She was born Feb. 15, 1908, in Coleman. She had lived in Plainview for over 40 years. She moved to Ballinger in 1995.
On Aug. 1, 1925, she married
Saturnino Jacques. He died July 8, 1965.
Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Joe and Paula Jacques of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Ruben and Rosa Jacques of Ballinger, Jim and Dottie Jacques of Arizona, and Manual Jacques of Dallas; four daughters and sons-in-law, Lydia and Chon Gonzalez of Plainview, Yolanda Jacques and Orlando Lopez and Beatrice Aleman and Armando Aguilar, all of Ballinger, and Amelia and Domingo Gonzales of Sabinal; 38 grandchildren; 83 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Thirteen siblings are deceased.

Marshall Kemp
Funeral Mass for Marshall Kemp, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Alice Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony McLaughlin of Tyler officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial cemetery by Lemons Funeral Home.
Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the church with family visitation following.
Mr. Kemp died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 8, 1916, in Frederick, Okla., the son of the late William Marshall and Catherine Henrich Kemp. He graduated from Pampa High School in 1934 and soon afterwards moved to a farm near Petersburg. He farmed with his father for 10 years.
On Sept. 26, 1944, he married
Celinda Mathilda Thames and they farmed near Plainview.
He served as an election judge since 1948 with the Democratic Party. He was a member and director of Plainview Wheat Growers for many years and was an active member of St. Alice Catholic Church since 1944.
Survivors include his wife; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Terri Kemp of Dalhart, Steve and Latrice Kemp and Bill and Kenit Kemp, all of Plainview; five daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Larry Dickerson of Plainview, Connie and Jeff Jobe of Austin, Lisa and Tim Field of Jacksonville, Gina and Randy Fuller of Dallas and Lori and Monte Lyons of Lubbock; one sister, Kathryn C´de Baca of Lubbock; 27 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Clarence and Albert Kemp, also are deceased.
The family suggests memorials to VistaCare Hospice or to Our Lady of Angels Convent (Franciscan Missionary Sisters), 8202 CR 7700, Wolforth, TX 79382.

Esparanza Sauceda
Funeral Mass for Esparanza Sauceda, 80, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerard Kenney, pastor, officiating.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in Wood-Dunning Colonial Chapel.
Mrs. Sauceda died at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 22, 1921, in Floresville and moved to Plainview in 1974 from Olton. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
On Aug. 22, 1938, she married
Antonio Sauceda Sr., in Hondo. He died June 24, 1994.
Survivors include seven daughters, Julia Jimenez of Abilene, Elvira Cuellar of Eastland, Hermina Florez of Mertzon and Maria Amaya, Josie Montemayor, Oralla Amaya and Anita Sauceda, all of Plainview; seven sons, Manuel Sauceda of Eastland, Ernesto Sauceda of Hobbs, Rudy Sauceda of Andrews and Antonio Sauceda Jr., Pedro Sauceda Jr., Ricardo Sauceda and Robert Sauceda, all of Plainview; one sister, Maria Galindo of Kerrville; 28 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

Henrietta G. Steen
Funeral services for Henrietta Garrison Steen, 89, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.
Mrs. Steen died at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, in Plainview Health Care Center (Heritage Home).
She was born Aug. 18, 1914, in White Flat in Motley County. She moved to Dumas at an early age where she attended schools. She moved to Dalhart and attended high school.
On Aug. 18, 1932, she married
William Howard “W.H.” Steen in Clayton, N.M. He died July 16, 1980.
She and her husband farmed and ranched and homesteaded land in Quemado, N.M., from 1932-37 when they moved south of Clayton, N.M.
She was a member of the Union County Home Demonstration Club.
In 1953, they moved to Hale County where she was active in farming in the Happy Union Community. She was a member of the Happy Union Sewing Club annd the Happy Union Baptist Church until it disbanded. She moved her membership to First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Preston and Sylvia Steen of Plainview and Earl and Laura Steen of Hale Center; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and J. Bassett Smith of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A sister, Gertrude Alford, and a brother, John Autry “Buck” Garrison, are deceased.

Peter James Vallejo

The child died Wednesday Nov. 27, 2002, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born Oct. 16, 2002, in Lubbock. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.
Survivors include his parents; his grandparents, Pete and Molly Vallejo of Floydada and Paul and Linda Morgan of Austin.

Aline Bradley

Mrs. Bradley died Saturday, April 19, 2003, in Tyler.
She was born Sept. 14, 1923 in Palestine to the late Claude Webster and Minnie Lee Spray Denson. She had been a Tyler resident for six years after moving from Plainview where her husband, Dr. Floyd C. Bradley, was director of the Caprock Plains Baptist Area for 14 years before retiring. They previously lived in Floydada and Denver City.
She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband; a son and daughter-in-law, Dale and Tammy Bradley of Lubbock; two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Gary Hext of Frisco and Ellen and Jay Green of Tyler; a former daughter-in-law, Janice Bradley of Arlington; two brothers, Herman Denson of Palestine and Vernon Denson of Calvert; a sister, Faye Walling of Palestine; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today and suggests memorials to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church in Tyler, Hospice of East Texas or the the Alzheimer´s Association in Tyler.
