Leslie Wayne McGallion, 43, of Hemphill, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, July 20 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Frank’s Branch Cemetery in Fred.
A native of Silver City, NM, he was a longtime resident of Fred before moving to Hemphill five years ago and was a heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his wife, Robbin McGallion of Hemphill; daughters, Genny McGallion of Denton, Ashley McGallion of Hemphill and Breanne McGallion of Humble; parents, Leslie and Myriam McGallion of Fred; and sisters, Terry Loftin of Fred and Melissa Head of Dam B.
James Johnson
James E. “Jim” Johnson, 75, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, July 14, 2004 at home.
Funeral service was held Saturday, July 17 at the First Baptist Church in Lumberton under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.
A native of Romayor, he was a longtime resident of Kountze before moving to Lumberton in 1970 and was a truck driver. He was also a Korean War veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary Johnson of Lumberton; daughters, Jodene McGraw and Denise Domec, both of Lumberton; sons, Mike Johnson, Glen Johnson, and James Johnson, all of Lumberton; mother, Sadie Johnson of Athens; brothers, Bob Johnson of Lumberton and Gilbert Johnson and Bill Johnson, both of Athens; sisters, Maxine Hale and Veda Ann Talbert, both of Athens; foster sisters, Ada Laredo of Kountze and Goldie Brian of Winchester, ID; foster brother, Charles Edward Curtis of Tucson, AZ; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Rhonda Nichols
Rhonda Beth Ricks Nichols, 38, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service was held Friday, July 17 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Resthaven Cemetery also in Silsbee.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Scott Nichols of Silsbee; son, Randall Nichols of Evadale; daughters, Mallory Nichols, Dani Nichols and Baillie Nichols, all of Silsbee; and parents, James and Jeanette Ricks of Evadale.
Sadie Flanigan
Sadie Elizabeth Flanigan, 86, of Silsbee, died Saturday, July 17, 2004 at Silsbee Convalescent Nursing Home.
Funeral service was held Monday, July 19 at Eastgate United Pentecostal Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home with burial at Restlawn Memorial Park also in Vidor.
A native of Orange and a former resident of Vidor and Beaumont, she was a cafeteria manager for Pine Forest Elementry School in Vidor.
Survivors include her sons, Preston Flanigan of Lumberton and Stephen Flanigan of Colorado Springs, CO; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
J.T. Holloway
J.T. Holloway, 76, of Kountze, died Monday, July 12, 2004 at Kountze Nursing Center.
Funeral service was held Friday, July 16 at Frazer’s Funeral Home in Warren, AR with burial at Green Hill Cemetery near Wilmar, AR.
A native of Baxter, AR and a former resident of Warren, AR, he was a Pipeline Union member for 52 years and for the last 17 years he was the Business Agent for Pipeline Local 798 in Tulsa, OK.
Survivors include his stepsons, Robbie Teal and Ronnie Teal, both of Kountze; daughter, Pat Dewitt of Colleyville; sister, Frances Kelley of Warren, AR; and three grandchildren.
Betty Roberts
Betty Carnell Roberts, 86, of Silsbee, died Saturday, July 17, 2004 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Broussard’s Mortuary in Beaumont. Interment was at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in El Dorado, AR.
A native of White County, AR, she had lived in Silsbee many years and had worked in the cafeteria at Kirby Elementary.
Survivors include daughter, Betty Colvin of Silsbee; son, David Roberts of Silsbee; brother, Ray Burbank of El Dorado, AR; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Sybrina Fontenot
Sybrina Kay Fontenot, 40, of Spurger, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at home.
Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 21 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial Friday, July 23 at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park in Burnet.
She was an accountant with Kinsel Motor Company in Beaumont.
Survivors include her husband, Carroll Fontenot of Spurger; sons, Trevor Samford of Spurger and Caleb Fontenot of Groves; daughter, Dee Fontenot of New York; father, Billy Confer of Llano; mother, Shirley Milligan of Valley Springs; brother, Greg Confer of Llano and Jason Confer of Marble Falls; and sisters, Debra Saffran of Baltimore, MD, Vanessa Bussey of Clovis, NM and Angie Wright of Seattle, WA.
