Velma L. Zoch, 73, of Beaumont, died Sunday, May 16, 2004.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, May 19 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park also in Beaumont.
She was a lifelong resident of Beaumont.
Survivors include her sons, Stuart Zoch of Spurger and Hans Zoch of Beaumont; daughters, Linda Neff of Silsbee and Sheila Hummel of Beaumont; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Aurelia Craddock
Aurelia “Sis” Craddock, 90, of Silsbee, died Monday, May 17, 2004 at her home.
Funeral service was held Wednesday, May 19 at Good Shepherd Baptist Church in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home with burial at Cunningham Cemetery also in Silsbee.
A native of Johnson Bayou, LA, she was a housewife.
Survivors include her brothers, Willie LaBove of Silsbee and Ervin LaBove of Sabine Pass; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Frankie Milton
Frankie Lee Milton, 84, of Silsbee, died Thursday, May 13, 2004 at Hermann Memorial Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 22 at St. Beulah Baptist Church in Silsbee under the direction of J.B. Coleman Funeral Home also in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, May 21 at the church.
A native of Honey Island, he was a United States Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Bertha Ola Haynes Milton; son, Bobby Frank; daughter, Jenny Von Wolf of Hillister; stepdaughters, Jennie Von Locks Bashay of New Iberia, LA and Constance Barrett of Silsbee; sister, Rosella Haynes of Kountze; two grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren.
Arda Corbett
Arda Ethel Corbett, 82, of Silsbee, died Monday, May 17, 2004 at Pine Arbor Health Care Center in Silsbee.
Cremation was arranged by Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
She had lived in Silsbee three years and was a retired teacher with San Carlos Independent School District in California.
Survivors include her niece, Deane Burcham of Silsbee.
Torisha Wilson
Torisha Lunetta Angelle Wilson, 32, of Silsbee, died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 20 at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Silsbee under the direction of J.B. Coleman Funeral Home with burial at Kirby Cemetery also in Silsbee.
A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, she worked for Renzenburger Limo Service for the Burlington Northern Railroad.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry Don Wilson of Silsbee; daughters, LaTarvia and Shirlese, both of Silsbee; sons, Torik and Eddie Jr., both of Silsbee; mother, Shirley Shankle of Silsbee; father, Jerry Angelle of Silsbee; stepfather, Artie Shankle of Silsbee; grandmother, Thelma Henderson of Houston; sisters, Emma Miller, Quintina Lockett, Audrey Shankle and LaToya Shankle, all of Silsbee, and LaDonna Angelle of Beaumont; and brothers, Jerry Angelle Jr. of Sioux City, IA and Atlas Angelle of Beaumont.
Thomas Brown
Thomas Edward “T-Bone” Brown, 35, of Lumberton, died Monday, May 17, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Davis Cemetery in Beulah Springs. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 19 at the funeral home.
A native of Jasper and a lifelong resident of Lumberton, he was a construction worker.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Patsy and John Leatherwood of Lumberton; brother, Kenneth Brown of Lumberton; sister, Kelli Brown of Lumberton; and grandmother, Annie Kelley of Lumberton.
Verda Rice
Verda Jewel Rice, 92, of Honey Island, died Friday, May 7, 2004 at Silsbee Oaks Nursing Facility.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2004 at Broussard’s 700 W. Saratoga Hwy, Kountze, Texas with burial to follow at Jordan Cemetery in Honey Island.
A lifelong resident of Honey Island and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Verda was a retired cafeteria worker for the Kountze School District and also for the Honey Island Swimming Pool.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman David “Red” Rice.
She is survived by her son, Norman David Rice Jr. and his wife, Lora Mae of Shepherd; daughters, Verda Mae Sutton and her husband, P.D. and Juanita Johnson and her husband, Cecil of Honey Island. She was a loving grandmother to LaRue and Robert Rice, Shannon Tolar, Deborah Morse, Elain Sutton, Susan Holland, Joan Brandt, Stanley Key, Donna Wright, Greg Johnson, Elizabeth Leslie, Monica Smith, Steven Johnson, Kelly Key, Peter Johnson, Galen Key and a loving great-grandmother to 31 grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
