Edwin James Browning, 73, of Silsbee, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery also in Silsbee.
A native of Salem, Missouri, he worked in labor relations.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Browning of Silsbee; son, Larry Browning of Tampa, FL and Eddie Browning of Texas; daughter, Debra Browning of Lumberton; sister, Opal Ray of Punta Gorda, FL; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Margie Anders
Margie Mills Anders, 82, of Kountze, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the First Baptist Church in Kountze under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Old Hardin Cemetery also in Kountze.
A native of Sabine County, she was the administrator at Silsbee Convalescent Center for a number of years and later at Canterbury Villa in Beaumont where she retired in 1988.
Survivors include daughters, Joe Ann Dorsett of Lubbock and Barbara Nell Jacobson of Pearland; sons, Tommy Anders of Spurger, Jimmy Anders and Gerald Anders, both of Kountze and David Anders of Orange; brother, James Mills of Center; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Betty Burnes
Betty Jean Burnes, 74, of Fred, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, Feb. 1 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred.
A native of Honey Island, she was a longtime resident of Fred and a homemaker.
Survivors include daughter, Zettie Burnes of Fred; son, Frank Burnes of Fred; sister, Nadine Berwick of Starks, LA; brothers, Harold Highsmith of Arlington and Bruce Highsmith of Louisiana; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Steven Carriker Sr.
Steven Wayne Carriker Sr., 61, of Warren, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2005 at his home.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 29 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred.
A native of Austin, he was a welder and a United States Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Marie Carriker of Warren; son, Michael Paul Carriker, Milton Graham and Larry Wayne Carriker, all of Warren; daughters, Shannon Murrill of Springfield, Missouri and Angel Williams, Ashley Marie Carriker and Amanda Marie Carriker, all of Warren; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.

Michael Lynn Davis, 42, of Silsbee, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005 at his home.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 29 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Survivors include his mother, Fredda Davis of Silsbee; wife, Loyce Dockall of Silsbee; sons, B.J. Caldwell of Brazoria and Chris Caldwell of Silsbee; daughter, Christina Landry of Silsbee; brothers, Johnny Davis and Billy Davis, both of Houston and David Davis of Silsbee; sisters, Barbara Farmer of Silsbee and Linda Downing of Pennsylvania.
Hilton Davis
Hilton Edward Davis, 73, of Buna, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 28 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Restlawn Cemetery in Vidor.
A native of Kirbyville, he had lived in Buna the last five years and was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include sons, William “Rusty” Davis of Vidor and Earl Davis of Ft. Stockton; daughters, Betty Cofer of Broaddus and Barbara Johnson of Carthage; brother, Earsel Davis of Pooler, GA; sisters, Berta Johnson of Marshall and Angie Alston of Buna; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Richard Dover
Richard Lee Dover, 49, of Evadale, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2005 at his home.
Funeral service was held Thursday, Jan. 27 at Broussard’s Mortuary in Silsbee with burial at Morse Cemetery in Buna.
A native of Wynee, AR, he had lived in Evadale the past six years and was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Dover of Evadale; sons, Robert Esparza and Timothy Dover, both of Houston, Billy Ray Dover of Pasadena and Cody Holmes of Evadale; daughters, Cinthia Rhodes of Pasadena and Crystal Holmes of Evadale; brother, Larry Dover of Bryan; sister, Barbara Dollar of Houston; and 11 grandchildren.
