Frances Player
Frances Aline Player, 81, of Beaumont, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery also in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4 at the funeral home.
A native of Comanche and a longtime resident of Silsbee, she and her deceased husband were owners of the Western Auto Store in Silsbee for many years.
Survivors include son, David Player Jr. of Beaumont; daughter, Joyce McLean of Ft. Worth; and four grandchildren.
James Rutledge
James Frank Rutledge, 91, of Silsbee, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care.
Funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 2 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Morse Cemetery in Buna.
He was retired from Owens Illinois Paper Mill Maintenance Department.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Cros Rutledge of Evadale; sons, Wallace Rutledge of Mobile, AL, Billy Ray Rutledge of West Monroe, LA and Thomas Rutledge of Starks, LA; brothers, Evans Rutledge of Philadelphia, MS, Roy Rutledge of Thomasville, AL and Davis Rutledge of Mobile, AL; sister, Florence Smith of Brooksville, MS; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Rachel Breaux
Rachel Tillison Breaux, 76, of Kountze, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004 in Kountze.
Funeral service was held Sunday, Feb. 1 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.
A native of Daisetta and a longtime resident of Hardin County, she had worked for the Kountze Independent School District in food service.
Survivors include daughter, Debra Blesener of Atlanta, GA; sons, Robert A. Breaux of Oklahoma City and Ralph M. “Max” Breaux of Silsbee; sister, Joan Hargraves of Kountze; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Lola Peavy
Lola Mae Peavy, 76, of Woodville, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2004 at her residence.
Funeral service was held Monday, Feb. 2 at the Fred Pentecostal Church in Fred under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Cunningham Cemetery also in Silsbee.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons, John Eason, Calvin Eason, Bud Eason and Frank Eason, all of Fred; daughters, Charlene Smith of Burkeville, Brenda Robinett of Raywood, Barbara Eason of Town Bluff, and Juanita Loftin and Anita Sturrock, both of Fred; brother, Calvin C. Moss of Silsbee; sister, Judy Carmichel of Silsbee; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Earl Fitzgerald
Earl Ovide Fitzgerald, 52, of Silsbee, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral service was held at the First United Methodist Church in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home also in Silsbee with burial at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred.
A native of Baytown, and a former resident of Port Arthur, he was an instructor and program director for the Industrial Maintenance Technology Program at Lamar. He was also a United States Navy Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Nora Fitzgerald of Silsbee; daughters, Elizabeth Holzaphie of Orlando, FL, Sabrina Ridenour of San Diego, CA and Michelle E. Moore of Silsbee; son, Johnathan F. Bickham of Diboll; and three grandchildren.
Narceep Samaha
Narceep Louis Samaha, 88, of Beaumont, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Jan. 31 at R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home also in Silsbee.
He was a retired accountant and a United States Army World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Phillips Samaha of Beaumont; sons, Norman Samaha, Jimmy Samaha, Phillip Samaha and David Samaha, all of Beaumont; brothers, Ameen Samaha of New York, and Narzi Samaha and Harleem Samaha, both of Florida; sister, Amelia Welch of New Hampshire; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Joseph Fisette Jr.
Joseph Edward Fisette Jr., 72, of Evadale, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004.
Funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 30 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches.
He was a teamster warehouseman, a Deputy Sheriff and Constable in Jasper County. He was also a United States Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores Fisette of Evadale; sons, Ricky Fisette of Austin, Dartanyon Fisette of Lumberton and Anthony Fisette of Evadale; daughters, Molly Fore of Beaumont and Phyllis Holcombe of Ft. Worth; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
