Eunice Inez Lakey, 92, of Silsbee, died Saturday, May 7, 2005 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service was held Tuesday, May 10 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
A native of Brookeland, she was a retired nurse with Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Survivors include her son, Robert Wayne Lakey of Silsbee; and three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Renee Lancon
Renee Denise Lancon, 37, of Nederland, died Saturday, May 7, 2005 in Burkeville.
A native and lifelong resident of Nederland, she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Robertson of Lafayette, Louisiana; sons, Bryan Perkins and Corey Perkins, both of Nederland and Christopher Otey of Beaumont; daughters, Krista Perkins and Leah Perkins, both of Nederland; brother, Charles Lancon of Nederland; sisters, Elizabeth Adaway of Port Neches, Veronica Van Derleau of Nederland and Sandra Trahan of Kaplan, Louisiana.
Alice Solly
Alice Solly, 86, of Kountze, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 at her home.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, May 10 at Trout Creek Cemetery in Kirbyville under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
A native of Merryville, Louisiana and a former resident of Evadale and Kirbyville, she had lived in Kountze the past five years and was a homemaker.
Survivors include sons, Charles Solly of Bleakwood, Robert Solly of Newton, and Fred Solly and Joe Solly, both of Kirbyville; daughters, Louise Folsom of Mauriceville and Joyce Willis of Kountze; honorary son, Dwain Solly of Vidor; and 20 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Erma Hinson
Erma Lois Hinson, 88, of Silsbee, died Friday, May 6, 2005 at her sons home after a long battle with Alzheimers complicated by diabetes.
Funeral service was held Sunday, May 8 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Resthaven Cemetery also in Silsbee.
She was a native of Magnolia Springs in Jasper County.
Survivors include son, Orval L. Hinson of Silsbee; daughter, Shirley Strother of Silsbee; sister, Ernestine Tanton of Silsbee; and nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Albert Huffman
Albert Earl Huffman, 46, of Vidor, died Thursday, May 6, 2005.
Funeral service was held Monday, May 9 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Fred Community Cemetery in Fred.
A native of Silsbee, he was a longtime resident of Vidor.
Survivors include his wife, Stella Brown Huffman of Vidor; father, Frank Zeller of Silsbee; sons, Albert Huffman of Beaumont, Frank Huffman of Buna, and James Huffman and Larry Huffman, both of Vidor; brother, Raymond Huffman of Louisiana; sisters, Melinda Downs of Silsbee and Emma Page of Conroe; and one grandchild.
Elizabeth Golson
Elizabeth Eugene Golson, 72, of Silsbee, died Friday, May 6 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral service was held Saturday, May 7 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with burial at Baker-Bell Cemetery in Fred.
A native of Semmes, Alabama, she was a longtime resident of Fred before moving to Silsbee several years ago and was a retired LVN with Silsbee Doctors Hospital.
Survivors include son, Jeff Kountz of Silsbee, William Kountz of Lumberton and Ricky Golson of Jay, Florida; daughters, Brenda Sims of Mobile, Alabama, Cindy LeBlue of Fred, Thula Bower of Greenville, South Carolina and Barbara Hall of Silsbee; sister, Norma Davis; and six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Ola Hamilton
Ola Mae Hamilton, of Kountze, died Friday, April 29, 2005 at UTMB Hospital in Galveston.
Funeral service was held Saturday, May 7 at Mt. Corinth Baptist Church in Kountze under the direction of Coleman’s Tyler County Funeral Home in Woodville with burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Biloxi, Texas.
A native of Browndale, she had lived in the Haynes Settlement Community in Kountze for a number of years.
Survivors include daughters, Joyce Morrisey of Silsbee and Elouise Simmons of Jasper; sons, Johnny Hancock of Silsbee, Emmett Hancock of Beaumont and Marion “Poncho” Hancock of Kountze; and a host of grandchildren.
