John B. McMahon Jr.
Graveside services for John B. McMahon Jr., 93, of Malakoff are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Malakoff Cemetery with members of the Malakoff Masonic Lodge officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.
Mr. McMahon died Sept. 27, 2000, in Malakoff.
He was born Aug. 2, 1907, in Jacksboro to John Bailey McMahon Sr. and Ella Mae Callahan McMahon.
Mr. McMahon was a salesman in the electrical supply business, retiring in 1988. Previously of Dallas, he lived in the Cedar Creek Lake area for 10 years. He was a Methodist and a 32nd degree mason at the Malakoff Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Yvonne McMahon of Malakoff; son and daughter-in-law, John B. McMahon III and Darlene McMahon of Malakoff; grandchildren, John McMahon of Sister Bay, Wis., Laura Mangan of Wylie and Mary Kay Gibbs of Fort Worth; and six great-grandchildren.
William Patrick
Services for Elder William Patrick, 56, of Athens are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Heavenly Gates Community Church, located at 702 W. Tyler Street in Athens, with Elder Ray Baker and Bishop Andrew Stimpson officiating.
Burial will follow at Owens Cemetery in Plummerville, Ark., under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company of Tyler.
Elder Patrick died Sept. 20, 2000, in Tyler.
He was born March 11, 1944, in Plummerville, Ark.
Elder Patrick attended school in Minifee, Ark., and Kansas City, Kan., before moving to Henderson County. He was the pastor of House of Deliverance Church in Athens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Q.L. and Joanna Vernon Patrick.
Survivors include Hygeia Patrick of Athens; son, William Patrick Jr. of Prior Lake, Minn.; daughters, Priscilla Ann Parshall Patrick of Minneapolis, Minn, and Mary, Manassah and Harriet Patrick, all of Athens; brother, Bobby T. Patrick of Minneapolis, Minn.; sister, Verma Robinson of Minneapolis, Minn; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Lyons, Marvin Lyons, Betrand Barker, Mitch Winton, Mickey Williams, Joel Livingston, James Thompson, Christopher Reyes and Marcus Tanner.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Heavenly Gates Community Church.
Memorials, if desired, can be made to House of Deliverance Church.
Leslie A. Reid
Services for Leslie A. Reid, 43, of Murchison are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Chandler with the Rev. Luke Kalarickal officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. Reid died Sept. 27, 2000, in Murchison.
She was born Sept. 13, 1957, in Indiana, Pa., to John Bernard Sr. and Mary Frances Macro Lieb.
Previously of Arlington, she lived in Murchison for eight years. He was a graduate of State College High School in State College, Pa. She earned her bachelors degree from Foot Hill College in San Jose, Calif. She worked nine years will Hills Science Diet, retiring in 1995. She was an accomplished equestrienne.
Survivors include husband, Ron Reid of Murchison; brothers, Joseph C. Lieb of Wyomissing, Pa., John B. Lieb of State College, Pa., William H. Lieb of Slate Hill, N.Y., James V. Lieb of Johnstown, Pa., and Robert A. Lieb of Port Matilda, Pa.; stepdaughter, Robyn Harrington of Santa Rosa., Calif.; six nieces; and six nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joseph C. Lieb, John. B. Lieb, William H. Lieb, James V. Lieb, Robert A. Lieb and Doug Brown.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Services for James L. Turner, 75, of Mabank are pending with Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mr. Turner died Sept. 27, 2000, in Tyler.
Marie Cranfill Somers
Marie Cranfill Somers, 77, of Athens died Feb. 15, 2000, in her Athens residence.
She was born April 24, 1922, in Vandervort, Ark., to the late Martin Lee and Mary Elizabeth Howard Cranfill. Before moving to Athens in 1980, Mrs. Somers, with her husband, was co-owner and operator of Somer's Antiques and Used Furniture in Lexington, Ky., on American Avenue and Winchester Road.
Mrs. Somers was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Somers, in 1993; and a brother, James "Buck" Cranfill.
Survivors include sons, John LeFevers and David Somers of San Antonio; sisters, Eleanor Edwards, Doris Gresham and Elsa Lindsey, all of Athens; brothers, Martin Lee Cranfill of England, Ark., Roscoe E. Cranfill and Charles Cranfill, both of Athens; granddaughters, Angel Somers and Janelle LeFevers; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Family will receive friends at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Friday.
Private committal services will be scheduled at a later date in Winthrop, Ark.

Lester Paul Simmons
Services for Lester Paul Simmons, 76, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Foster & Brown Chapel with the Revs. Carl Taylor and Frank Upchurch officiating.
Burial will follow at Willow Springs Cemetery under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Simmons died Feb. 17, 2000, in Athens.
He was born April 24, 1923, in Springfield, La., to Richard and Elisa Dejeaux Simmons. He was a retired Baptist minister.
Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Stone Simmons of Athens; daughters, Judy Reynolds of Mount Bellview, Paulette Disney of Arlington, and Kathryn Easley of Port Arthur; son, Richard Simmons of Houston; sister, Elise Starkey of Beaumont; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Aundra Deshay Smith Jr.
Graveside services for Aundra Deshay Smith Jr., infant, of Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.
Baby Smith died Feb. 14, 2000, in Palestine.
He was born Feb. 14, 2000, to Aundra Deshay Smith and Heather Bass.
Baby Smith is survived by his parents; brother, Christian Mikah Deshay Smith of Athens; sister, Ellison Lashay Page Smith of Athens; grandmother, Janitia M. Smith of Athens; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Becca Siebert
Becca Siebert, 22, died Jan. 18, 2003, as a result of injuries received in a car accident near Athens. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2003, at First Baptist Church of Eastland with Dr. Shawn Brewer officiating, under the direction of Bakker Funeral Home of Eastland. Interment will follow at Eastland Cemetery.
Becca was born April 21, 1980, in Abilene to Becky and Mike Siebert. She grew up in Eastland, graduating from Eastland High School in 1998.
At the time of her death, Becca was a senior at University of Texas at Tyler and would have graduated in August with a degree in elementary education. She also attended Weatherford Junior College and Trinity Valley Community College. She was employed at Holiday Cleaners in Athens.
Becca was a member of First Baptist Church in Eastland. She was active in Acteens and taught vacation Bible school and Sunday school. In high school, Becca was a chapter officer in FHA (now FCCLA), was a member of the band and the flag corps and was elected 1997 band sweetheart.
Becca loved family gatherings. Her vivacious energy would fill the room. She had a wonderful sense of humor and, like her mother, she loved working with children. Becca was looking forward to following in her father's footsteps as a teacher. She also enjoyed riding Jeep trails with her family on their annual vacations to Colorado.
Becca is survived by her father, Mike Siebert of Eastland; sister, Kathy Siebert, a sophomore at Texas A&M University; grandparents, Mary Lou Siebert of Eastland and Eddie and Margie Simms of Georgetown; and numerous aunts, uncles and nieces. She was preceded in death by her mother, Becky, in 2001; and her grandfather, Wendell T. Siebert.
Family visitation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
