Barbara "Bobbie' Hinds
Services for Barbara "Bobbie" Hinds, 64, of Kemp are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Anderson Clayton Bros. Chapel with the Rev. Dub Henry officiating.
Burial will follow at Kemp Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Clayton Bros. of Kemp.
She was born June 24, 1935, in Hawley to Lawrence and Deltha Craig Boyd and passed away peacefully on May 16, 2000, in Athens.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was truly an amazing person and touched anyone who had the good fortune to know her.
Bobbie was the beloved wife of Clifford Hinds for 47 years. She was the love of his life and his best friend.
Mrs. Hinds, who graduated from David Star Jordan High School in Long Beach, Calif., had a long career as an executive in the insurance industry. Her last position was as an executive vice president of American Pathfinders Insurance and Eagle Adjusting Company in Dallas.
She leaves behind her husband, Clifford Hinds of Kemp; sons, Clifford Hinds Jr., of Kemp and Richard Hinds of Athens; mother, Deltha Craig of Dallas; brother, Thomas Craig of Glendale, Ariz.; grandchildren, Haylea Hinds of Kemp and Matthew and Holly Hinds of Athens; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Kent Creecy, Robert Emfinger, James Key, Allen Stanford, Billy Hair and Tommy Hair.
Tyson Lamar Willis Curtis
Services for Tyson Lamar Willis Curtis, 20, of Gun Barrel City are scheduled for 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Gun Barrel City with the Rev. Byron Jones officiating.
Private burial will follow under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mr. Curtis died Aug. 6, 2000, in Kaufman.
He was born Oct. 13, 1979, in Dallas to Don Wayne and Judy Brown Curtis.
Previously of Montana, he lived in Gun Barrel City for 12 years. He was Baptist.
Survivors include wife, Shanna Tamez Curtis of Gun Barrel City; son, Tyson Leven Christian Curtis of Gun Barrel City; parents, Judy Brown of Mabank and Don Curtis of Dallas; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Brown of Athens and Mr. and Mrs. Don Curtis of Lake Hawkins; sisters, Terri Isbell of Dallas, Tommi Crow of Baytown, Tristan Curtis of Baytown and Ty Curtis of Mabank; and many other family members.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ernestine James
Graveside services for Ernestine James, 79, of Murchison are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chandler Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. James died Aug. 7, 2000, in Athens.
She was born May 5, 1921, in West Station to Ernest George and Alma Vera Bodiford Vieregge.
Formerly of Waco, Mrs. James moved to Murchison in 1992. She was Pentecostal.
Mrs. James was preceded in death by husband, Ernest M. James, on Aug. 16, 1998; and daughter, Joyce Temple, on Dec. 6, 1970.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Jack Fullwood of Murchison; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Lee Harris of Waco, James and Virginia Temple of Odem, Willie Temple of Waco, Dell and Sue Temple of Nursery, Donald and Jeannie Temple of Corpus Christi and Mike and Tina Temple of Chandler; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Francis "Bud" Lawrence
Francis "Bud" Lawrence, 82, of Mabank died Aug. 2, 2000, in Athens. No services are planned. Arrangements were under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mr. Lawrence was born Aug. 6, 1917, in Muncie, Ind. Previously of Dallas, he lived in Mabank since 1985. He retired in 1982 from Texas Instruments in Richardson.
Survivors include sons, James Soloman Lawrence of Gainsville, Ga., and William Alexander Lawrence of Flowery Park, Ga.; daughters, Shirley Price of Lancaster, Calif., Sue McLaurin of Lancaster, Calif., Wendy Komorowski of Temperance, Mich., Francis Wozniak of Brighton, Mich., and Clarice Diane Thorn of Mabank; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other family members.
Roy Lee Dean Mitchell
Services for Roy Lee Dean Mitchell, 17, of Mabank are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with the Rev. George Yarger officiating.
Burial will follow at Payne Springs Cemetery in Payne Springs under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.
Roy died Aug. 6, 2000, in Henderson County.
He was born Jan. 27, 1983, in Dallas to Thomas Don and Flossie Odessa Kelley Mitchell.
Roy was a lifelong resident of Mabank. He was a student at Eustace High School and was co-captain of the football team in 1999. He attended Trinity Valley Community College. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include parents, Michael and Flossie Lacy-Wertz of Mabank; brother, James Wertz of Mesquite; sisters, Teffiny Odom and Kim Compton, both of Terrell; grandparents, Jim and JoAnn Wertz of Trinidad, Essie Mae Frye of Dallas and Don Mitchell of Dallas; great-grandmother, Lydia Wertz of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

Wanda Noey Tanner
Services for Wanda Noey Tanner, 74, of Fort Worth were held Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2000, at W. Ray Watson Chapel of University Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Woods officiating.
Burial followed at Laurel Land Memorial Park under the direction of Robertson Mueller Harper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tanner died July 30, 2000.
She was born March 8, 1926, in Brownwood to John Robert and Bennie Lou Godwin Noey.
Mrs. Tanner was a longtime member of University Baptist Church and taught preschool there for many years. She was a volunteer at the Museum of Science and History and a member of the Rejebian Book Club. Mrs. Tanner owned and operated Parkway Jewelers and Buddy's Westcliff Record Shop.
Survivors include husband, E.A. "Buddy" Tanner of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie Tanner and Mahlon Tate of Fort Worth; son and daughter-in-law, Emory Ambrous "Amby" III and Leslie Tanner of McAllen and Kim Alan and Marilyn Tanner of Greenwich, Conn.; sister, Lucille Noey Moore of Fort Worth; brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Jerry Noey of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Ashley and Maggie Tate ad James and Garrett Tanner.

Franklin M. Whitten
Services for Franklin M. Whitten, 54, of Chandler were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Stephen Nipp officiating.
Burial followed at Chandler Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Mr. Whitten died Aug. 5, 2000, in Tyler.
He was born Jan. 22, 1946, in Camden, Ark.
Mr. Whitten was a veteran of the United States Air Force during Vietnam. He was employed by Howe-Baker Engineer Inc., as a fitter and welder. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by mother, Susie Whitten; and brother, George Whitten.
Survivors include wife, Deborah Whitten of Chandler; sons and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Stephanie Whitten of Tyler and Elijah Whitten of Chandler; daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Brian Marshall of Chandler, Susie and Fred Tumulak of Chandler and Shanta and Douglas Ferris of Chandler; father, Emmett Whitten of Chandler; brother, William Whitten of Los Angles, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joshua Whitten, Elijah Whitten, Douglas Ferris, Kevin Jones, Ray Abercrombie and Victory Adkison.
