George Becker Jr.
Services for George Becker Jr., 84, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Becker United Methodist Church in Becker community with the Rev. Wallace Hale and Dr. John Grigsby officiating.
Private burial will follow in the family cemetery under the direction of Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home of Kemp.
Mr. Becker died May 14, 2000, in Kaufman.
He was born Aug. 15, 1915, in Becker community in Kaufman County to George and Florence Nash Becker.
Mr. Becker was a member of Becker United Methodist Church and had been a trustee at Trinity Valley Community College since the 1970s. He served as the captain of a PT boat in World War II. He was also active in the Texas and Southwest Cattleman's Association.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Dr. Walter F. Becker and Rear Adm. Charles Becker.
Survivors include brothers and sister-in-law, Major General Bill Becker and Frances Becker of Kaufman and Bryan Becker of Dallas; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Dr. Ed Dodson, DD of Texarkana, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chris Becker, Dan Dodson, Paul Harrup, Tom Hutchison, Jim Lambeth, and William George "Billy" Becker.
Honorary pallbearers will include Lee Clines, Mary Peery Dailey, Alyne Gibbs, Abbie Lou Williams Hale, Eulan Jones and June Turner.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Becker United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 327, Kemp, TX, 75143.
William Franklin "Pete' Kennington
Services for William Franklin "Pete" Kennington, 69, of Brownsboro are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday at Foster & Brown Chapel with the Rev. Larry Fondren officiating.
A burial with military honors will be performed at Oak Grove Cemetery in Kerens under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Kennington died May 14, 2000, in Dallas.
He was born July 23, 1930, in Pensacola, Fla., to Robert Franklin and Eula Mae Boone Kennington.
Mr. Kennington retired after 30 years in the U.S. Marines. He served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He earned the rank of gunnery sergeant.
He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Bolin.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Kennington of Brownsboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Danie and George Hackler of Glen Heights, Donna and Tommy Stewart of DeSoto and Verna and Ronnie Mitchell of Lindale; grandchildren, Jacqueline and Greg McLain of Cedar Hill, Natalie Brown of Brownsboro, Wendy Milton of Lindale, Deeann Bolin of Red Oak, Dennis F. Hackler of Glen Heights, Jeffrey Brown of Lindale, T.J. Stewart of DeSoto, Scotty Stewart of DeSoto and Billy Dee Hale of Red Oak; four great-grandchildren; mother, Eula Mae Boone of Pensacola, Fla; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Huff of Canton and Tinsley Huff of Emmett; sister, Hazel Babington of Warrington, Fla.; nephew, Wesley Brittingham of Pensacola, Fla.; niece, Cynthia Burnett of Birmingham, Ala.; and one great niece.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Beatrice Ellen Reckrey
Services for Beatrice Ellen Reckrey, 84, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Saint John Lutheran Church in Athens with the Rev. Scott Kirchoff officiating.
Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. Reckrey died May 15, 2000, in Athens.
She was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Chicago to James Monroe Byers Sr. and Virginia Ann Kahn Byers.
Mrs. Reckrey was a resident of Irving for 40 years before moving to Henderson County. She was a member of Saint John Lutheran Church in Athens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Martin Reckrey; and brother, David Byers.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann and Michael John Watson of Bridge of Allen, Scotland; two grandchildren, Sarah Louise and Callum David Watson, both of Bridge of Allen, Scotland; brother, James Byers Jr., of Chicago, Ill.; sister-in-law, Eleanor Reckrey of Irving; and niece, Joell Vanderwagon of Toronto, Canada.
Pallbearers will be Mike Turner and members of Saint John's Lutheran Church.

Tommy Tidwell

Mr. Tidwell died May 16, 2000, in Tyler.
Margaret Curtis
Services for Margaret Curtis, 74, of Athens are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Rome Cemetery with the Rev. H.R. Pruitt officiating. Services are under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. Curtis died Aug. 3, 2000, in Athens.
She was born April 26, 1926, in Harrison County to Gilbert and Callie Naremore Smith.
Survivors include husband, Kenneth Curtis of Athens; daughters, Wanda Raymond of Canton and Delcia Nelson of Hawkins; sons, Jerry Britton of Tyler, Gilbert Britton of Pine Mills, Roger Couser of Longview and Charles Dearing of Wills Point; sister Bonnie King of Harlton; brothers, Bobby Smith of Harlton and Harry Smith of Harlton; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Ruby Daniels
Graveside services for Ruby Daniels, 92, of Dallas and formerly of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Clayton Worden officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home in Athens.
Mrs. Daniels died Aug. 4, 2000.
She was born Aug. 1, 1908, in Henderson County the daughter of Carnie William and Arilla Loudora Powell Morgan.
Mrs. Daniel was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Daniel.
Survivors include daughter, Saundra Nance of Dallas; sister, Inez Gross of Athens; brother Chester Morgan of Irving; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Welch, Eddie Calaway, Jimmy Mitchell and Mike Gross.

John E. "Jack' Troutman
Services for Dr. John E. "Jack" Troutman, 82, of Seven Points are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church of Mabank with the Rev. Joe Dwinnell officiating.
Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Cemetery in Kennedale under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.
Dr. Troutman died Aug. 3, 2000, in Seven Points.
He was born Oct. 30, 1918, in Pittsburg, Pa., to Phillip O. and Margaret Bartholew Troutman.
Previously of Arlington, he lived in Seven Points for two years and was a member and trustee of First Presbyterian Church of Mabank. He was a officer of Red Bud Telephone Pioneer Co., on the board of directors for the Avanti Society. He served as dean of small business administration at Arlington University and had a long career in the education field. He was also a member of the Aero Club in Arlington and worked for the White House educational council under President Johnson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II.
Dr. Troutman was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Troutman, in 1996; daughter, Marcella Troutman; and grandson, Greg Rice.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice Troutman of Kemp; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jim Rice of Arlington, Jenna and Jim Lewis of Arlington and Wendy and Steve DeSanto of Kingwood; four grandsons; and one great-grandson.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank and from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.
