John Phillip Hansen
A memorial service for John Phillip Hansen, 50, of Bryan is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church in Harlingen with the Rev. Charles Dixon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Mr. Hansen died Sept. 22, 2000.
He was born July 6, 1950, in San Benito.
Mr. Hansen was a truck driver for T.D. Trucking and he attended Pan-American College in Edinberg.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Deere Hansen of Bryan; son, Phillip Hansen of Austin; stepson, Chad Deere of Sulpher, La.; mother, Doris Hansen of San Benito; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Sharon Hansen of San Benito, Dan and Connie Hansen of College Station, Paul and Ester Hansen of Seattle, Wash., and Mark and Patricia Hansen of Athens; sister and brother-in-law, Nita and Scott Brumbaugh of Leavittsburg, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty Ann Jernigan
Services for Betty Ann Jernigan, 71, of Log Cabin are scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday at Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malakoff with Shelia Derdan officiating.
Burial will follow at Malakoff Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.
Mrs. Jernigan died Sept. 22, 2000, in Log Cabin.
She was born Aug. 7, 1929, in New Orleans, La., to Mr. and Mrs. Ralph D. Sherwood.
Previously of Dallas, she moved to the Cedar Creek Lake area 15 years ago. Mrs. Jernigan was a member of Shelby Chapel in Athens. She was a homemaker and loved to play Bingo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Ralph D. Sherwood Jr.
Survivors include husband, James L. Jernigan of Log Cabin; children, Harold B. Jernigan of Tyler, James Michael Jernigan of Colorado City, Texas, Melissa Ann Jernigan of Malakoff, Stephen Paul Jernigan of Athens and William Michael Jernigan of Log Cabin; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gary Jernigan, Tommy Jernigan, Brandon Jernigan, Jodie Jernigan, Jackie Jernigan, Darryl Wilson, Henry Joe Jernigan and Collin Green.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
William Patrick
Services for Elder William Patrick, 56, of Athens are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Heavenly Gates Community Church with Elder Ray Baker and Bishop Andrew Stimpson officiating.
Burial will follow at Owens Cemetery in Plummerville, Ark., under the direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Company of Tyler.
Elder Patrick died Sept. 20, 2000, in Tyler.
He was born March 11, 1944, in Plummerville, Ark.
Elder Patrick attended school in Minifee, Ark., and Kansas City, Kan., before moving to Henderson County. He was the pastor of House of Deliverance Church in Athens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Q.L. and Joanna Vernon Patrick.
Survivors include Hygeia Patrick of Athens; son, William Patrick Jr. of Prior Lake, Minn.; daughters, Priscilla Ann Parshall Patrick of Minneapolis, Minn, and Mary, Manassah and Harriet Patrick, all of Athens; brother, Bobby T. Patrick of Minneapolis, Minn.; sister, Verma Robinson of Minneapolis, Minn; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Lyons, Marvin Lyons, Betrand Barker, Mitch Winton, Mickey Williams, Joel Livingston, James Thompson, Christopher Reyes and Marcus Tanner.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Leslie A. Reid
Services for Leslie A. Reid, 43, of Murchison are pending with Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. Reid died Sept. 27, 2000, in Murchison.
Edison Monroe
Funeral services for Edison Monroe, 93, of Eustace are scheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ Church in Eustace with Lester Reagan officiating.
Burial will be at Moorehead-Melton Cemetery in Eustace under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home in Athens.
Mr. Monroe died Monday, June 18, 2001, at East Texas Medical Center Athens.
He was born in Canton to Barney Archie and Essie Cross Monroe. He married Burena Wheeler on Aug. 3, 1932.
Mr. Monroe was a resident of Eustace all of his life. He was Postmaster at the Eustace Post Office and retired in 1978. He was a realtor and held a broker's license. Prior to his marriage, he was the manager of a cotton gin. He was named citizen of the year of Eustace in 1990. He was a very gentle, loving and generous man to the citizens of Eustace. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Eustace No. 119 A.M. and F.M.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Eddie Kent Monroe; brother, Barney Lee Monroe; and a sister, Estelle Roberson.
Survivors include his wife 68 years, Burena Wheeler Monroe of Eustace; sons and daughters-in-law, Dexter and Pam Monroe of Athens and Jack and Terri Monroe of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Patsy Monroe Harper and Evon Harper of Kaufman; daughter-in-law, Jerrie Monroe of Eustace; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Ernestine Monroe of Athens; sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Charles Chaffee of Vacaville, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Steven Harper of Kaufman, Laura Harper of Portola, Calif., Christal Davis of Frisco, Wendy Applehoff of Orange, Calif., Stacey Gross of Cypress, Stacy Monroe of Eustace, Amy Frenzel of Richardson and Jason Monroe of Kaufman; 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces; and a host of wonderful friends.
Pallbearers will be Mark Wheeler, Jason Monroe, Stacy Monroe, Steven Harper, Jack Andrews, Bill Wheeler, Pat Wheeler and Gary Gooddell.

Joe Bob Ashton Sr.
Services for Joe Bob Ashton Sr., 42, of Eustace are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with the Rev. John Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Payne Springs Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mr. Ashton died March 29, 2002, in Kaufman County.
He was born Oct. 10, 1959, in Eustace.
Mr. Ashton was a lifetime resident of Eustace. He was a contractor.
Survivors include his father, Bobby Joe Ashton of Eustace; daughter, Lacy Gail Ashton of Eustace; son and daughter-in-law, Joe Bob Jr. and Denease Lea Ashton of Eustace; sister, Barbara Faye Privott of Mt. Vernon; and grandsons, Christopher Lloyd Ashton and Christian Lee Ashton.

Frances Elaine Kaminski Fines
Services for Frances Elaine Kaminski Fines, 84, of Seagoville are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Seven Points with the Rev. John "Chick" Cullen officiating.
Private burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Dallas under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Seven Points.
Mrs. Fines died April 2, 2002, in Kaufman.
She was born Jan. 9, 1918, in Kaufman to Robert Virgil and Lesbia Eunice Murphy-Johnson.
Mrs. Fines was a homemaker who moved to the Cedar Creek Lake area from Dallas in 1973. She was a member of the Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church of Tool. She was also a member of the Seagoville Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Erich Kaminski, in 1979; second husband, James O. Fines, in 1999; and brothers, Rufus, Alvia, Guy Lowell and Aubrey Johnson.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Jimmy Hugh and Natalie Ann Kaminski of Bedford and Ronald L. and Mary Jane Kaminski of Seagoville; grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott and Laura Kaminski, James Matthew Kaminski and Monica Anne Kaminski; and two great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
