George Hilmer Barnhart
Services for George Hilmer Barnhart, 67, of Seven Points are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Seven Points with the Rev. Todd Peavy officiating.
Burial will follow at DFW National Cemetery in Dallas under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Seven Points.
Mr. Barnhart died April 10, 2002, in Seven Points.
He was born June 21, 1934, in Rockford, Ill., to George and Rhoda Barnhart.
Mr. Barnhart moved to the Cedar Creek Lake area in 1995 from New Mexico. He was a Baptist. He served as a Sgt. 1st Class in the U.S. Army, serving 20 years. He served for three tours of duty in Vietnam. He was also an extra in the movie "To Hell and Back." He held an associates degree in criminal justice. He worked as a security guard for the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Lou Dunn Barnhart of Seven Points; son, George Nicklaus Barnhart of Lancaster; daughter, Brenda Lee Smith of Gun Barrel, Jodell Darlene Barnhart of Lancaster, Nancy H. Barnhart of LaCruces, N.M.; brothers, Michael Barnhart, Clarence D. Barnhart and Deater Barnhart, all of Dixon, Ill.; sisters, Patricia Foster of South Carolina and Darlene Flock; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the 911 Victims Fund or to the local humane society.
Benjamin William Moore
Services for Benjamin William Moore, 69, of Chandler are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Smith, James Walker and Mickey Ellis officiating.
Burial followed at Chandler Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home of Chandler.
Mr. Moore died April 13, 2002, in Athens.
He was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Red Oak N.C.
Mr. Moore lived in Chandler for 20 years. he was a member of Chandler Christian Fellowship and retired from the U.S. Army after serving 22 years. He served in Vietnam, Germany, France and Hawaii. He also worked at Service Merchandise and Best Buy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Fannie B. Moore
Survivors include his wife, Helen Newsome Norris Moore of Chandler; son and daughter-in-law, Gerry and Becky Moore; daughters and son-in-law, Lisa and William Causey of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Vickie Daughtridge of Rocky Mount, N.C.; mother-in-law, Lelar Newsome of Augusta, Ga.; stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law. Debra and Bruce White of Arkansas, Becky and Krest Harper of Chandler, Angela Wallette of Grand Prairie and Tracey McNatt of Chandler; brother, L.K. Moore of South Carolina; brother-in-law, Champ Newsome of Augusta, Ga.; sister, Norine Evans of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Gayle Allen of Houston; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Andy, Brian and William Causey, Krest Harper, and Ryan and John Wallette.
Honorary pallbearers were Tom Phelps and Ronald Palmer.

Ida LaVerne Starkes Tapley
Graveside services for Ida LaVerne Starkes Tapley were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rome Cemetery in Henderson County with the Rev Thom Taylor officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. Tapley died April 10, 2002, in Athens.
She was born Nov. 6, 1933, in Henderson County to Isaac and Lorena Starkes. She was retired from the vassarette company. She was a resident of Henderson County all her life.
Mrs. Tapley was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy D. Tapley; daughter, Diana Tapley; brother, Kenneth Starkes; and sister-in-law, Euna B. Starkes.
Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Watson of Athens; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Starkes of LaRue, J.D. and Kay Starkes of Athens and Billy Starkes of Lufkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Donald Tapley of Trinidad and Barbara and Dale Holder of Athens; sister-in-law, Loyce Starkes of Malakoff; and numerous nieces and nephews; two grandchildren, Joshua Watson of Athens and Charity Morgan of Palestine; and three great-grandchildren; Jerrot, Machalia and Briar.
Pallbearers were Tommy Wilson, Jimmy Perkins, George Brown, Roy Dosser, Donny Piper and Dave Grubbs.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews, Bubba Tapley, Doug Tapley, Scott Starkes, Donny Berdice, William Holder, Kellis Pierce, Randy Weaver, Gary Nelson, Jeremy Pierce, Danny Pierce and Don Vogt.
Martha Louise Anderson
Services for Martha Louise Anderson, 79, of Austin are pending with Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mrs. Anderson died April 14, 2002, in Austin.
Carolyn Donnell O'Reilly

Mrs. O'Reilly died Sept. 22, 2000.
She was born May 7, 1925, in Athens to Clyde Donnell and Vallie Brownlow Hughes.
Mrs. O'Reilly was a member of Crescent Heights Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Doris Coleman; and husband, Milton O'Reilly.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Lee Roy Wilson of Malakoff; son and daughter-in-law, Cabot and Martha O'Reilly of Athens; brother, Joe Dan Donnell of Houston; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Celia Donnell of Athens; three grandchildren, Trent, Trey and Trevor Wilson, all of Malakoff; one nephew, Damon Donnell of Houston; and several nieces.

Jerry Wilson

Mr. Wilson died Sept. 20, 2000, in Dallas.
He was born June 19, 1971, in Pasadena to Delmer and Debra Truly Wilson.
Mr. Wilson was a lifetime resident of Gun Barrel City and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
