James S. Neely
Services for James S. Neely, 65, of Athens were held Nov. 4, 2004, at Sanders Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Hilliard Funeral Home of Van.
Mr. Neely died Nov. 1, 2004.
He was born Oct. 22, 1939.
He lived in Athens the past 13 years. He was an artist and an animal lover. His favorite movie was "Pass it Forward."
Survivors include his stepson, who loved him very much, John W. Wilson of Athens.
Margie Sanders Skinner
Services for Margie Sanders Skinner, 78, of Athens are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Wade Skinner officiating.
Burial will follow at Shelby Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Skinner died Nov. 19, 2004, in Athens.
She was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Comanche to the late John and Eula Taylor Sanders.
She was a resident of Athens most of her life and was a member of Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church. She retired from Curtis Mathes after 17 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur "W.D" Skinner in 2003; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include son and daughters-in-law, William A. and Linda K. Skinner of Marshall and Jesse and Millie Skinner of Tyler; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jerry Seilheimer, Kay and Eddie Miers, all of Malakoff; sisters, Janie Purdy of Watauga, Mickey Dixon of Weatherford; grandchildren, Jarry Allan Seilheimer, Samantha Williams, Brad Miers, Brian Miers, Brandi Hanes, Molly Carter, Lane Skinner, Brett Skinner, Wade Skinner, Aaron Skinner and Kevin Skinner; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brian Miers, Lane Skinner, Lane Skinner, Brett Skinner, Brad Miers, Aaron Skinner and Kevin Skinner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Allan Seilheimer and Lee Russell.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-6 p.m. Sunday.
If desired, memorials may be made to the Henderson County Food Pantry.
Hullan Thornton
Services for Hullan Thornton of Athens are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2004, at Sterling Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with the Rev. Ben Gibbs officiating.
Burial will follow at French Cemetery in Kenefick under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.
Mr. Thornton died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, at East Texas Medical Center in Athens.
He was a native and former longtime resident of Dayton, a retired truck driver from Tri-Star Trucking after 15 years of service, a member of Willow Springs Baptist Church in Athens and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Freida Thornton of Athens; children and spouses, Jamie and Jesse Cominy of Crockett, Shannon and Deborah Thornton of Montgomery, Kimberly and Moren Nielson of Conroe and Rex and Ginger Tomlin of Sundia; brothers, D.K. Thornton Jr., and his wife, Justina, of Dayton, Robert Earl Thornton and his wife Lanell of Dayton and James Earnest Thornton and his wife, Sissy, of Tarkington Prairie; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Gene Pennington of Anahuac, Evelyn and James Bench of Oklahoma and Sybil LeBlanc of Tarkington; grandchildren, Ashley Cook, Rachel Thonton, Freya Nielson, Ethan Thornton, Cody Hobson and Cary Hobson; great-grandchild, Justin Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keith Noack, Robby Thornton, Tony Thornton, Jerry Thornton, Gary LeBlanc, Terry LeBlanc, Dennis Cook and Cody Thornton.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Clay, Jacob Muirhead and Curt Tobolka.

Steven Kim Samford
Services for Steven Kim Samford, 52, of Mabank will be under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mr. Samford died Dec. 9, 20 04 in Kemp.
He was born Jan. 31, 1952 in Dallas.
He lived in Mabank most of his life and was a dry wall technician.
Mr. Samford is survived by his parents, Kenneth and JoAnn (Baugh) Samford of Mabank; brothers, Scott Samford of Texarkana, Kenny Samford of Gun Barrel City and Kelly Samford of Mabank; sons Steve Samford Jr. of Payne Springs and Michael Samford of Wills Point; daughter Tina Nicolas of Mesquite and eight grandchildren.
Patricia Ann Hilliard

Mrs. Hilliard died Dec. 10 in Gun Barrel City.
She was born Sept. 26, 1938 in Waxahachie.

Bobby Lynn Calder
Services for Bobby Lynn Calder, 65, of Gun Barrel City were held 2 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Alan Austin officiating.
Burial followed at Woodside Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mr. Calder, previously of Mesquite, lived in Gun Barrel City since 1988. He worked in sales and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Calder.

Services were held for M. Kyle Lievsay-Stroud, 77, of Gun Barrel City were held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church with John Brennan officiating.
Burial followed at Cedar Creek Memorial Park under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mr. Lievsay-Stroud died Dec. 9, 2004 in Tyler.
He was born Oct. 14, 1927 in Dallas.
He worked as a printer and also for MISD as a traffic control and bus driver.
Mr. Lievsay-Stroud is survived by his wife, Marina Stroud of Gun Barrel City; sons Howard Lievsay of Euless and Steve Lievsay of Mesquite; daughter Edith Corbitt of Whitney; sister Lola Rolans of Glen Rose; grandchildren Amber, Lisa, Amanda, Courtney and Eric; other family members and many friends.
