Mary Lee Kling
Services for Mary Lee Kling, 72, of Murchison are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Monday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Harrison officiating.
Burial will be at Zion Hill Cemetery in Van Zandt County under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. Kling died Jan. 23, 1999, in Tyler at East Texas Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Wills Point to Casey Claude and Daisy Mae Hendon Shackelford. She married Vern H. Kling Jan. 2, 1945, in Colorado City. Mrs. Kling was a retired tailor and also retired from Wal-Mart in Athens in 1994. She had been a resident of Murchison since 1983 and was a Methodist by faith.
Mrs. Kling was preceded in death by her parents, Casey Claude and Daisy Mae Shackelford.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Vern Kling of Murchison; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Cecila Kling, Harold and Vicki Kling, all of Athens; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and O.G. King of Lumberton and Daisy and Michael Magee of Murchison; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Casey and June Shackelford of Athens and John and Pat Shackelford of Colorado City; sisters, Arlene Matlock of Newberry, Mich., and Rose Tucker of Corpus Christi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Foy Magee, Ben Kling, Kevin King, James Magee, Stephen Magee and Adam Kling.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Gary Gross, Dr. David Jones, Dr. Doug Curran and the staff of the sixth floor and ICU2WB at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.
Robert David 'Bob' Greenlaw
Memorial services for Robert David "Bob" Greenlaw, 59, of Payne Springs are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Chapel at Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Seven Points.
Mr. Greenlaw died Jan. 24, 1999, in Athens.
He was born Nov. 15, 1939, in New York to Elmer Paul and Cecil Greenlaw. Mr. Greenlaw resided in the Cedar Creek Lake area for the past 15 years. He was formerly from Garland. He was a Baptist by faith and belonged to County Bible Church in Kaufman. Mr. Greenlaw was a safety supervisor and instructor for Fleetline Trucking. He was a 25 year member of AA and served in the U.S. Air Force military police special forces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Paul and Cecil Greenlaw.
Mr. Greenlaw is survived by his wife, Teresa Frances Greenlaw of Payne Springs; daughters, Pat Hill of Brea, Cailf., Pamela Jaennette of Riverside, Calif., Michelle Williams of Scurry and Lynn Dugger of Seven Points; aunt, Thelma Piantinita of Boyton Beach, Fla.; uncle, Theodore Rothschild of Boyton Beach, Fla.; cousin, Elizabeth Pereze of Boyton Beach, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
Edward 'Gene' Minshall Sr.
Services for Edward "Gene" Minshall Sr., 62, of Star Harbor are scheduled for Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Woods Chapel Baptist Church in Arlington with Al Wise officiating.
Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday in Washington Court House with Bro. Carroll Starkey officiating.
Burial will be in Washington Courthouse, under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.
Mr. Minshall died Jan. 23, 1999, in Athens.
He was born Aug. 28, 1936, in Williamsburg, Ohio, to Ernest Minshall and Geneva Mae Swisshelm Minshall. He was Southern Baptist by faith and a retired systems analyst with Armco Steel and was employed by American Airlines. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Minshall was a past lt. governor and president of Kiwanis Div.#39 and was a little league coach for 15 years. He was a deacon for Woods Chapel Baptist Church and had served as deacon for Eastview Baptist Church in Franklin, Ohio. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mr. Minshall is survived by his wife, Shirley Minshall of Star Harbor; three sons, Edward Minshall Jr. of Richland Hills, Mike Minshall of Arlington and Todd Minshall of Snow, Okla.; one daughter, Cindy Minshall of Star Harbor; three sisters, Janet Kelly of Washington Court House, Pauline Pierce of Ohio, and Mrs. John Sollars of Ohio; two brothers, Richard Hodson of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Herbert Minshall of Washington Court House, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Edward Minshall Jr., Mike Minshall, Todd Minshall and Roger Keith.
Lucian W. Nowlin Jr.
Services for Lucian W. Nowlin Jr., 58, of Mabank are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel at Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.
Mr. Nowlin died Jan. 23, 1999, in Malakoff.
He was born Dec. 11, 1940, in Memphis, Tenn., to Lucian Weast Nowlin Sr. and Ida V. Barham Nowlin. He was formerly of Dallas and had resided in this area for the past three years. Mr. Nowlin was an insurance salesman and regional director. He was a member of the Texas Sons of the American Revelution. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961-67.
Mr. Nowlin is survived by his wife, Sharon Nowlin of Mabank; one daughter, Candice Corlene Nowlin of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, John McCulley of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Lelia McCulley of Lebanon, N.H., and Jenny McCulley of Modesta, Calif.
Cleo Pagitt
Services for Cleo Pagitt, 84, of Poynor are scheduled for 1:30 Tuesday at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with the Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating.
Burial will be in Poynor Cemetery under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pagitt died Jan. 25, 1999, in Poynor, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 8, 1914. Mrs. Pagitt had resided in Poynor all her life and was a beautician and owned and operated Cleo's Beauty Shop in Poynor for 13 years. She was a member of Poynor Baptist Church.
She is survived by her one son, John Robert Pagitt of Poynor; two brothers, Jimmy L. Melton of Chandler and John L. Melton of Brownsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Howard Martin, Buster Stringfield, Herbert Riley, Bobby Holcomb, Thomas Ray Pagitt and Jerry West.
Honorary pallbearers are Dub Wylie, Charles Parrot, Jimmy Lewis Dickerson, Bud Clair, Lloyd Hanks, Lowell Bristow and Dr. Gary Battitt.

Elwood Cartwright
Services for Elwood Cartwright of Houston are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Funeral Chapel in Houston with Dr. Mark Lewis officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories under the direction of Woodlawn Funeral Home of Houston.
Mr. Cartwright was born in Foraker, Okla., to George and Eva Cartwright.
Before moving to Houston, he was employed by Nipak and Enserch Corporation in Henderson County. He resided in Houston for 23 years and was owner and operator of CJ Sales & Marketing.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandson, Chad Sweeden.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Juanita Cartwright of Houston; daughters and son-in-law, Janie Sweeden of Pawhuska, Okla., and Beverly and Mike Peek of Athens; sister and brother-in-law, Luella and Don Haralson of Kenai, Alaska; grandchildren, Shana Walker, Meredith Peek and Craig Peek; three great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Services for Helen Elizabeth Genola, 61, of LaRue are scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday at Foster & Brown Chapel with the Rev. Richard Palmer officiating.
Mrs. Genola died Jan. 11, 2001, in Tyler.
She was born April 7, 1939, in Yazoo City, Miss., to Ephrem and Ida Baker.
Survivors include her husband, James Genola of LaRue; daughter, Regina Manson of Arlington; son, James Nicholson of St. Joseph, La.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
