Jimmie Dee Deas
Jimmie Dee Deas, 93, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, October 30, 2020.
Jimmie was born on May 18, 1927 to his parents, John Keel Deas and Minnie Juarlia Weeks in the Rock Hill Community in Wood County, Texas.
Jimmie married the love of his life, Helen Naomi (Littlepage) Deas on November 13, 1951.
They attended the Rock Hill Baptist Church for many years.
He was a World War II U.S. Navy Veteran, a member of the American Legion in Winnsboro, Texas, and the V.F.W.
Jimmie worked for Wood County Electric and was also a dairy farmer/rancher.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Deas; his parents, John and Minnie Deas; daughter, Mary Hicks Deas; 7 sisters and 3 brothers.
He is survived by his son, John Deas; his daughters, Dorothy Anthony (husband, James), Cathy Dye (husband, Garland), Becky Burford (husband, Johnny) and son-in-law, Johnny Hicks; 15 grandkids; 17 great-grandkids and the many other family and friends.
Graveside Service for Mr. Deas will be Sunday, November 1, 2020 at 3:00 at Myrtle Springs Cemetery.
The officiant will be Brother Danny Parker.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Myrtle Springs Cemetery Association.
Barbara Asbill Grant
Barbara passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 30th, 2020 after a brief illness.
She was born on October 11, 1942, in Greenville, Mississippi, to the late James Elmer and Lucy Bluebell (Milner) Barnett, then returned home to Swink, Oklahoma.
She was part of the Class of 1960 at Valliant High School in Valliant, Oklahoma, where she was active in sports, drama and was known far and wide for her beautiful singing abilities.
She worked extensively in marketing and sales advertisements for local newspapers and radio. She was passionate about Oklahoma history and worked for many years to help restore and protect the rich history of the Wheelock Academy for the Choctaw Nation of which she was a proud member.
In later years, she most enjoyed working with her late husband, Bill Grant as they promoted Bluegrass music and Oklahoma Tourism.
Barbara is survived by son, Russ Earnhart and wife, Monica of Waxahachie, TX; daughter, Amy Asbill Patrick and husband, Harry of Sulphur Springs, TX. Grandsons, Gavin and Evan Patrick; and granddaughter, AnnaBeth Rose Patrick.
She leaves ingrained in her family a moral compass to live by; to always be honest, love family and friends and honor God.
A Celebration of Life service for Barbara Grant will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at First Assembly of God, 1176 HWY 271S, Hugo, OK.

Jason Ray Bailey
Jason Ray Bailey, age 49, went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 18, 2020 in Christus Mother Francis Heart Hospital, Tyler, Texas, surrounded by his loving family.
Jason was born April 8, 1971 in Denison, Texas.
His parents are Don and Brenda Bailey.
He was a member of Lake Highlands Baptist Church.
He graduated from SSHS in 1989, joined the Army National Guard, graduated from truck driving school and Northeast Texas Fire Academy/EMS school.
Jason is survived by his wife, Jennifer, parents, Don and Brenda Bailey of Sulphur Springs, TX, uncles, Billy Thomas Bailey (Marvilou), Philip Charles Bailey (Janet), Kerry Mack Bailey (Carol), Jimmy Bailey, aunt, Barbara Joyce Love (Joe), and numerous cousins.
Preceding him in death was his daughter, Taylor Michelle, grandparents, Billie C. Bailey and Nell Bailey, Roscoe and Vera Reeves, and special cousin, Cindy Bailey.
One of Jason’s favorite Bible verses was Matthew 18:10-14.
He was the one lost sheep of the ninety-nine that the Son of man came to find and save. PTL
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Lake Highlands Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to service.
Glenna Hargrave
Funeral service for Glenna Hargrave, age 83, of Dike, TX, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Tony Hurley officiating.
Interment will follow at Nelta Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Hargrave passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2020 at Sunny Springs Health and Rehab.

Bruce Frost, Sr.
Funeral service for Bruce Frost, Sr., age 77, of Como, will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday February 3, 2019 at Black Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Beliew officiating and Rev. Mike Harmon and Bro. Michael Zambrano assisting.
Interment will follow at Black Oak Cemetery with Bruce Frost, III, Joshua Frost, Justin Moore, Michael Zambrano, Drew Wilsford and Trent Fields serving as pallbearers and Ronnie Gunn, Jessie Zambrano, Gerald Walters, Mike Harmon, Dennis Hunt, Larry Blann, B.J. Teer and Ricky Blann serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel prior to the service.
Mr. Frost passed away on Friday, February 01, 2019 at Baylor-Scott-White Medical Center, Dallas.
Bruce Wayne Frost, Sr. was born on December 4, 1941 in Waldron, AR, to Raleigh and Louveda Frost.
He married Ray Nell Earhart in Poteau, OK, on July 27, 1962.
Bruce graduated from Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree and obtained his Master’s at Texas A & M.
He was a School Teacher, Coach, Principal and Superintendent.
Bruce served in the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Texas State Teachers Association and Black Oak Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ray Nell; sons, Bruce Frost, Jr. and wife, Tammy, Kevin Frost; daughters, Kimberly Zambrano and husband, Jessie, Kandice Frost; grandchildren, Bruce Frost, III, Emily Moore (Justin), Joshua Frost, Amanda Wilsford (Drew), Michael Zambrano (Sarah), Nikki Fields (Trent); great-grandchildren, Damien and Corbin Wilsford, Ander Moore, Jessie, Ansley, Mikey Zambrano, Scarlett and Cash Nuttall, and Jhett Fields; brother, Joe Frost and wife, Betty from Austin, TX.
Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, Pat Ray Frost.

Douglas Adams
Graveside service for Douglas Adams, age 83, of Emory, will held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Ridgeway Cemetery with Bro. Mike Eason.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Adams passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab, Sulphur Springs.
Edward Douglas Adams was born on March 16, 1935 to Bascom and Lottie Adams.
He married Margaret Ann Yarbrough and she preceded him in death.
Douglas was a Trucker and Dispatcher for AMPI Trucking.
He is survived by his daughter, Sherry Coffman and husband, Tony; step-children, Charles Coker, Gale Martin, Kay Peterka and Karen Huie; numerous grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Adams, Dalton Adams and Jerry Adams.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Gregory Don Adams; great granddaughter, Tessa Nicole Skeen; brothers, Billy Jean Adams, Malcom Glenn Adams; sister, Melba Scott.

Charles “Charlie” Nelson
Funeral service for Charles “Charlie” Nelson, age 78, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Darrell Brown and Rev. Al Davis officiating.
Interment will follow at Piney Grove Cemetery with Kyle Presley, Cameron Geautreaux, David Nelson, Donald Bullard, Cody Burks and Dillon Burks serving as pallbearers and the Texas Roadrunners serving as honorary pallbearers.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home and then one hour prior to the service starting at 10:00 A.M. at Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Mr. Nelson passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Wesley House, Sulphur Springs, TX.
Charles “Charlie” Nelson was born on November 26, 1939 in Upshur County, Texas, to James and Nellie Nelson.
He married Kathryn Lee Howard, whom preceded him in death, then married Vonda Chester on February 19, 2000, in Sulphur Springs.
Charlie was a Commercial Painter, worked for 17 years at Western Union and owned and operated Mercury Painting for 28 years.
He was a member of Family Motorcoach Association, Texas Roadrunners and Piney Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Vonda Nelson; daughter, Karen Presley of Corpus Christi; sons, Roger Burk and wife, LeAnn of Mt. Vernon, Gary Burks and wife, Sharri of Gladewater, TX; grandchildren, Brandie Gautreaux, Breanne Coe, Melissa Presley, Sarah Presley, Kyle Presley, Aliesha Adair, Amber Sheridan, April Sheerer, Destine Grobe, Dillon Burks, Cody Burks; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Mark Nelson and wife, Peggy; sisters, Jaunice Wilehem, Vida Taylor and husband, Robert.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kathryn Lee (Howard) Nelson; son, Randy Wayne Nelson; son-in-law, Russell Presley; sisters, Juanita (Nelson) Bullard and Bertha Mae Ramey; brothers, Cleo Nelson, J.D Nelson and Lee Nelson.

Joyce Laverne House
Funeral services for Joyce Laverne House, age 77, of Pickton, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Montgomery and Bro. Eldon Hamilton officiating.
Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Alba, TX, with Robert Flewelling, Jr., Carroll Hanning, Ryan Chandler, Robert Flewelling, III, Kenny Turner, and Nathanael House serving as pallbearers.

Joyce passed away Saturday, March 24, 2018 at her residence.
She was born September 19, 1940 in Alba, TX, the daughter of Ferrell D. Bennett and Georgia Vivian (Elledge) Bennett.
She married James House on December 23, 1961 in Quitman, TX; he survives.
Joyce was a secretary for Red Ball Motor Freight in Dallas, for 23 years and was a member of Teamsters.
She was a member of Harmony Assembly of God Church in Pickton.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Joy Hanning and husband, Carroll of Pottsboro, TX; Lesa Flewelling and husband, Robert, Jr. of Pickton, TX; grandchildren, Ryan Chandler and Angel Stone of McKinney, TX; Kristin Flewelling of Saginaw, TX; Bethanie Turner and husband, Kenny of Sulphur Springs, TX; Robert Flewelling, III of Pickton, TX; Lindsey Hanning of Lubbock, TX; Jeffrey Hanning and wife, Melissa of Van Alstynne, TX; and Laurie Walker and husband, Jesse of Atlanta, TX; and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Menia Ruth Pritchard, and infant brother, Morris D. Bennett.

Rev. Lee Emerson
Funeral service for Rev. Lee Emerson, age 94, of Sulphur Bluff, will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., March 27, 2018 at Sulphur Bluff Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Rawlinson and Bro. Robert Burns officiating.
Military graveside honors by the Hopkins County Military Coalition will follow at Sulphur Bluff Cemetery with Colton Emerson, Dakota Emerson, Johnny Green, Toney Hurley, Montana Hurley, Reggie Emerson, David Maag, and Jim Martin serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Bassham, Weldon Glossup, and J.W. Ragan.
Mr. Emerson passed away Friday, March 23, 2018, at Clarksville Nursing Facility in Clarksville.
Lee was born November 10, 1923 in Sulphur Bluff the son of Luther Emerson and Sally Verona (Moore) Emerson.
He married Sterlena Sharp on October 19, 1945 in Saltillo; she survives.
Lee was in the United States Army and attended East Texas Baptist College.
He was a Baptist Minister for over 70 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Jimmie Emerson and wife, Katherine of Dike; Troy Emerson and wife, Tammi of Paris; and Kenneth Emerson and wife, Jeannie of Dolphin, AL; daughters, Patsy Martin and husband, Jim of Tira; Ladena Daniels and husband, David Maag of Dike; brother-in-law, Truman McDaniel; sisters-in-law, Nancy Emerson, Betty McDaniel, and Artie Mae Bailey; grandchildren, Connie Waller of Paris; Paula and husband, Jody Tetlow; Cindy Jones and husband, Josh of Blossom; Pamela Daniels and husband, Nick Martinez of Sulphur Springs; Lori Green and husband, Johnny of Dike; Michelle Hoover and husband, Kevin of Mt. Tommie Jean Lennon
Funeral service for Mrs. Tommie Jean Lennon will be held Sunday, March 25, 2018, 3:00 pm, at Emory Baptist Church.
Dr. Joe Perkins and Dr. Richard Piles will officiate.
Interment will follow the service in Dougherty Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at 2:00 pm.
Mrs. Lennon, age 89, of Point, passed away during the early morning hours of Friday, March 23, 2018, in Senior Suite Care and Rehab in Emory.
Mrs. Lennon was born May 14, 1928, in Campbell, to Alva Dent and Annie Pauline Kelly Clark.
She married Norwin William Lennon, in Cumby, on December 13, 1947.
She earned her Master's Degree of Education at East Texas State University, in Commerce.
Tommie taught Homemaking classes at Rains High School until her retirement.
She was a member of Emory Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Other organizations she participated in were the TEL, of which she was the president for many years, and the Quinlan Chapter of the Eastern Star.
Serving as pallbearers for her service are: Jesse Weaver, Frank Weaver, James Weaver, Thomas Jenkins, Greg Ventura, and, Tony Clark.
Survivors include:

Daughter: Vicki Annette Weaver and husband, Ernie of Point
