Vida Joyce Tyler
Graveside service for Joyce Tyler, age 92, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park with Buddy Wiggins officiating.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mrs. Tyler passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler, Texas, surrounded by her family and friends.
Vida Joyce Tyler was born the only child of Lloyd and Avis Baxter on February 1, 1926 in Brashear, TX.
The family moved to Sulphur Springs, when Joyce was still a child.
She grew up in the family home on Main Street and attended Travis Elementary.
Joyce graduated from Sulphur Springs High School where she was a terror on the tennis courts.
She began working as a clerk in the County Clerk Office where one of her duties was to register returning war veterans.
There she met returning vet, Delbert “Snap” Tyler, her future husband, whom she married on September 20, 1946.
The couple were very active in their church, political party and volunteered for many community services.
Snap progressed in the local post office to become postmaster and Joyce became office administrator for the Carnation Milk Plant.
She later resigned to raise two adopted daughters, Linda and Robin.
Joyce was an avid sports fan of Texas teams, especially the Cowboys.
The couple attended many Cowboy home games.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband and both daughters.
She is survived by three grandsons, Eric Cole of Sunset, TX, Christopher Cole of Alvaredo, TX, and Jeremy Robinson of Sulphur Springs; numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the friendly atmosphere and loving care Joyce received at the Hopkins House, Sulphur Springs.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Teri (Orinthia Jean Terrell) Coleman
Teri (Orinthia Jean Terrell) Coleman, age 90, of Emory, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018, in Sunny Springs Nursing and Rehab in Sulphur Springs.
Teri was born Oct. 27, 1927, in Indiana, to Benjamin S. and Hazel G. Ogle Terrell.
During her working career, she was employed as a bookkeeper, and in different secretarial positions, including tax service for the public.
Teri was a beautician and taught cosmetology as well.
She married Glen Coleman, who preceded her in death.
Teri was a very private, independent, but, loving lady.
Survivors include:
Son: Robert Fairchild of Ohio;
Grandchildren: Adrian Fairchild, Valerie Herschberger, Andrew Fairchild, Michael Fairchild, Kim Case, John Fairchild, and Lucus Fairchild;
Great-grandchildren;
Numerous Nieces and nephews: Jerry Terrell, Terry Terrell, Rick Terrell, Pat Parker, and, Nancy Tate
Caregivers: Jan Elliott, Tia Jones, Sherry Hunter, Marie Phillips, Kimberley Messinger, and the girls from Vitas, Lisa Sutton and Cori Slemmons.
Special friends: Allen Howard; Alfonso Hernandez and family; Norma and Ray Zuniga; Conrad S. Hernandez; Lester and LaNell Robbins; and, numerous other loving and caring friends, too many to list.
Preceded in death by:
Parents;
Husband;
Daughter: Vicki Coleman
Son: Richard Fairchild
Grandson: Robert Fairchild, Jr.
Brothers: Ray Terrell and wife Nellie; Charles Terrell; and, Benjamin Terrell
Niece, Betty Terrell.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory.

Sammy Joe Jackson
Graveside services for Sam Jackson, age 55, have been set for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018 at North Hopkins Cemetery with Pastor Gerald Freeman officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Joc Capelli, Ricky Whitaker, Earnie Jackson, Justin Jackson, Justin Coggins, Toby Peterka.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Leelan Morelli and Josh McPherson.
Visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Jackson passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at his residence in Sulphur Springs.
Sammy Joe Jackson was born August 13, 1962, the son of Jim Jackson and Mary Lindsey Jackson in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
He married Dorene Matlock in Sulphur Springs, on November 5, 2011.
He worked in utility construction.
Survivors include his wife, Dorene Jackson; parents: Mary and Jim Jackson; daughters: Kristen McPherson and husband, Josh, Brittany Lampe and husband, Chris, Savannah Starek and husband, Mark and Ariel Peterka and husband, Toby; grandchildren: Isabella Huddleston, Mikayla McPherson, Leelan Starek, Caston Carson, Lillymae Peterka, Addylun Peterka and Adamik Peterka; brothers: Clyde Jackson and Jay Jackson and sisters: Jimmie Marie Schmitt.

Travis E. Baxley
Funeral service for Travis E. Baxley, age 80, of Cumby, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September30, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Joe Charles Hall and Jason Rector officiating.
Interment will follow at Cumby Cemetery with Kenneth Hines, Benny Springfield, Bill Jenkins, Lanny Rainey, Johnny Powell and Ricky Petty serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Groves, Kevin Meisenheimer, Jeramy Parrish, and Jason Hudson.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Baxley passed away Friday, September 25, 2020 at Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
Travis was born November 6, 1939 in Cumby, to Connie Ray and Estelle (Romans) Baxley.
He was a Christian of the Baptist faith.
He married Brenda Fults on February 14, 1959 at the First Baptist Church in Cumby, Tx.
Travis worked as a carpenter and was also a truck driver for ABF, ICX, and other trucking corporations.
He served the town of Cumby, for many years, including serving as the mayor, board member for Cumby Cemetery Association, and was a member of the Masonic lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Baxley; mother, Estelle Baxley; daughter, Rhonda Baxley Lemon and husband David; grandchildren, Raisha Rector and husband Jason, Haley Meisenheimer and husband Kevin, Lindsey Lemon; great-grandchildren, Jacob Groves, Chloe Groves, Kelcie Fite, Ally Meisenheimer, Macie Meisenheimer, Brynli Meisenheimer and Landon Lay.
Mr. Baxley was preceded in death by his dad, Connie Ray Baxley; son, Randy Ray Baxley and sister, Anita Moore.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Myron Green Mitchell
Funeral service for Myron Green Mitchell, age 92, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Murray – Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Jeff Tiemeyer officiating.
Interment will follow at Mahoney Cemetery with Matt Mitchell, Rick Orr, Brandon Mitchell, Mitch Orr, Ryen Orr and Brenden Fink serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be Monday, September 28, 2020 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Mitchell passed away Thursday, September 24,
2020 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home.
Myron was born November 25, 1927 in Perryville, Arkansas, to William “Bill” Earl Mitchell and Agnes Lillian (Thedford) Mitchell.
He married Mary Nathline Brumfield in Hopkins County, on February 15, 1947.
Myron was a Veteran and served in the United States Air Force.
After leaving the Air Force, he was employed at Bell Helicopter as a mechanic during WWII, and retired as a long-haul truck driver after 40 years.
He was a member of the Crockett Road Church of Christ, a 32nd degree Mason of the Masonic Lodge in Sulphur Springs, and joined Hella Shriner.
Once he retired, he enjoyed traveling and seeing the country with his family.
Myron was known for his contagious smile, big hugs and his love for life.
His mission in life was to make you smile, be happy, don’t worry, enjoy every day and always trust that God would take care of everything.
He is survived by his sons; Mike Mitchell and wife Linda of Sulphur Springs, and Marc Mitchell of Sulphur Springs, daughter; Marsha Kay Orr and husband Rickey of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren; Brandon Mitchell of Sulphur Springs, Rick Orr and wife Katy of Austin, Mindy Fink of Sulphur Springs, Mitch Orr and wife Jennifer of Pflugerville, Matt Mitchell and wife Jamie of Sulphur Springs; great-grandchildren; Kate and Sydney Mitchell of Sulphur Springs, Olivia and Julia Orr of Austin, Brianna Wilson and husband Ryan, of Sulphur Springs, Brenden and Braxton Fink of Sulphur Springs, Ryen, Riley and Jayley Orr of Pflugerville, Kaden, Marshall and Maebry Mitchell of Sulphur Springs.
Nephews; Don Voss and wife Katy of Mahoney, Tommy Mitchell of Dallas, Nieces; Pam Silva of Dallas, Debbie Burke and husband Rob, of Mahoney and Jackie Thornton of Florida, and loved by many great-nieces and nephews.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary N. Brumfield, brothers, Aaron Mitchell and George Mitchell, sister, Louise Voss and grandson Jody Mitchell.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Marlene Kay Icenhower
Visitation for Marlene Kay Icenhower, age 60, of Sulphur Springs, will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home.
Ms. Icenhower passed away Friday, November 20,2020 at her home.
She born June 13, 1960, in Fort Stockton, TX, the daughter of Billy Ray Hatley and Rosie Katie Jones Hatley.
She worked as a nurse until she retired.
She is survived by her children; Christie Pierson and husband Greg, of Como and Ronnie Blaine Icenhower of Sulphur Springs; brother: George Hatley of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren: Chasen Icenhower, Talon Pierson, Stevie Pierson, Brooklynn Icenhower, Bentley Icenhower and Cris Cortez.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents: Billy Ray and Rosie Katie Jones Hatley; sister: Tina Brown; brothers: Billy Hatley, Bobby Hatley and Jesse Hatley.

Joe Jordan
Graveside service for Joe Wayne “Papaw” Jordan, age 94, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Pontotoc Cemetery, Pontotoc, Oklahoma.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Jordan passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020.
Joe was born on September 1, 1926 in Fitzhugh, OK, to John and Estelle (Jones) Jordan.
He married Meleta Winton on March 21, 1948 in Fittstown, OK.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Joe was a pipefitter and a member of the Pipefitters Union.
He was an avid gardener and fisherman.
Joe was a member of the Cedar Crest Christian Church.
He is survived by his children, Jo Ann Steele and husband, Keith of Sulphur Springs, Mike Jordan and wife, Gale of Corsicana; grandchildren, KJ Steele and wife, Erin, Casey Steele, Brett Watson Jordan, Tyler Mahan, Tyler Reed Jordan; brothers, Onus and Cotton Jordan.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Arrangements under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Pablo Munoz Arzola
Funeral services for Pablo Munoz Arzola will be conducted at 12 noon on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Father Mark Dunne officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs City Cemetery with Jose Arzola, Juan Martinez, Xavier Arzola, Jeremy Martinez, and Angel Martinez serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, November 23, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
Pablo passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.
Pablo was born on January 24, 1954 in Cruz de Lorza Nuevo Leon, Monterrey, Mexico, the son of Jose Angel Arzola and Maria Del R. Munoz.
He has been married to Maria Flores Arzola for 34 years.
Pablo worked for Universal Forrest Company in many capacities for over 30 years.
Pablo was an avid reader and loved spending time with his family.
He was of the Catholic faith.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his sons, Xavier Arzola, Jose Arzola, Juan Martinez and wife Tammy, Tomas Flores, daughters, Rosalinda Martinez and husband Jeremy, Lupe Martinez and Isabel Martinez, brothers, Sergio Arzola and wife Daniela, Max Arzola and wife Geli, sisters, Maria Armijo, Yola Mendoza and husband Javier, Mirella Ramirez and husband Jaime, Silvia Martinez and husband Ricardo, brother-in-law, Apolinar Pacheco, grandchildren, Esther, Erika, Salvador, Arnulfo, Elizabeth, Tomas, Catarina, Anastacia, Natalia, Grecia, Ciro, Gisel, Maria, John, Angel, Alondra, Angela, Mia, Kyara, Carlos and Michael, 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Francisco Arzola, and wife Estella Arzola, brother-in-law, Ruben Arzola, sister, Angelica Pacheco, one granddaughter, Rosita.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.

Jerry Donaho

Mr. Donaho passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital, Sulphur Springs.
Jerry Donaho was born on December 8, 1943 in Poteet, TX, to James Newton Dohaho and Christine LaRue Rylander Donaho.
He married Pat Donaho on May 11, 1963 in San Marcos, TX.
Jerry enjoyed using his hands on woodworking projects.
Mr. Donaho is survived by his wife: Pat Donaho; son: Drew and wife, Patty Donaho; grandchildren: Paul and wife, Nyein Donaho and Jessica and husband, Ryan Wilson; great-grandchild: Eli Wilson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Kenneth Gaines
