Jack Perkins, Sr.
Funeral service for Jack Perkins, Sr., age 76, of Pickton, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow at Weaver Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday night from 6 to 8 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Perkins passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020.
Jack Hayden Perkins, Sr. was born on September 2, 1944 in Weaver, TX, to J.C. Perkins and Thelma Chester.
He was a Truck Driver by trade.
Jack was a supporter of the SW Dairy Museum and a member of Cross Spur Cowboy Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Butler of Pickton; step-son, Shannon Gaines, Cumby; grandchildren, Hayley Gaines, Brittney Bradley, Hayden Hollen, Jesse Butler and Skylar Gaines; nine great grandchildren; sister, Linda Hall of Mount Pleasant; brother, Billy Perkins of Sulphur Springs.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Jack Hayden Perkins, Jr., Patrick Lee Perkins; step-daughter, Kelly Ann Gaines.

Zenobia King
Graveside service for Zenobia King, age 94, of Cooper will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Brigham Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mrs. King passed away passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on Tuesday, November 17, 2020.
Born September 4, 1926 in Langley, Arkansas, Zenobia often talked of the hills of Arkansas, and riding horseback to the one-room school she attended.
She loved working with her hands and family members were blessed to receive hand-made quilts and her embroidered needlework as gifts.
Her love for her family was obvious to everyone in the photos of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren that covered her walls.
In her early years, she was a carhop at Ann’s Drive-In, and later, operated her own fish restaurant for several years, where her hushpuppies were a popular favorite. Zenobia loved dogs and enjoyed raising them.
She is remembered for her deep love for her family.
Her life was not an easy one, but she rarely complained.
Her personality was marked by a mildness and humility.
And, although she endured much hardship in her life, she was always willing to fulfill her calling to help any member of her family.
She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children; Sue Simpson of Redwater, Texas; Arlene Coffman and her husband, Truitt of Campbell, Texas; Tony Wright and his wife, Pam; of Eighty-Eight, Kentucky; Lou Wright and his wife, Gina of Lone Star, Texas; twelve grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren.
In her later years, she was close to her great-great-granddaughter, Grace Coffman.
Zenobia was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Mathis Jones and Martha Jane Jester, five sisters, 3 brothers, and her two-year-old son, James Earl.

Ronald McCord
Funeral service for Ronald McCord, age 74, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Tyler Wooten officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Josh McCord, Jeff Harrington, Anthony McCord,
Cody Minyard, Mike Grantham, and Seth Grantham serving as pallbearers.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Loyd McCord, Larry Vititow, Marvin Watson, Steve Turner, and Gary Smith.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 6 to 8 P. M at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. McCord passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Rock Creek Nursing Home and Rehabilitation.
Ronald was born October 17, 1946 in Sulphur Springs to Alfred and Opal Springer McCord.
He married Katena Green on October 17, 1964 and later remarried Jacque McConnell on October 11, 1990 and she preceded him in death in 2012.
He was a member of Davis St. Baptist Church.
He owned and operated Ronald McCord Painting in Sulphur Springs and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Joe McCord and wife Bonnie, Leslie Eppars and husband Jay, Brad McCord and fiancée, Millie Laird; grandchildren, Anthony McCord and wife Sarah, Timothy McCord, Brittney Minyard and husband Cody, Amanda McCord, Jalie Wooten and husband Tyler, Promise Larkin, Cameron Crump and wife, Tessa, Joshua McCord and wife, Belinda, Callie McCord; great-grandchildren, Adrian McCord, Emily Brito, Justiss Larkin, Kynnedy Crump, Kynzie Crump, Kegan McCord, Rylan McCord and one great-grandson on the way in February; sister, Nancy Ann Grantham.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Jacque McCord.

James “Jimmy” Arthur Hale
Graveside services for James “Jimmy” Arthur Hale, age 86, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Brashear Cemetery with Bro. David Burns officiating.
The grandchildren will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
There will be no formal visitation.
Jimmy passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home.
He was born on June 14, 1934 in Hopkins County, the son of O.V. Hale Sr and Lula Mae Pinkham Hale.
He served in the United States Army and later worked as a heavy equipment operator.
He is survived by son, Cori Hale and wife Deana of Sulphur Springs, daughters, Christi Singleton of Sulphur Springs, Cadi Collins and husband Eric of Rusk, and grandchildren, Riley Collins,
Chase Collins, Tatum Collins, Faith Singleton, Matthew Singleton, Micah Singleton, Abbigail Hale and Kolson Hale.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, brother, O.V. Hale Jr, and sisters, Bobbie “Sissy” Courson, Nona Ruth Toles, and Joyce Hale.

Darnell McQueen
Memorial service for Darnell McQueen, age 69, of Greenville, will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 5 to 7 PM at First Baptist Church – Spence Chapel.
Mrs. McQueen passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Greenville Nursing Home and Rehab, Greenville.
Geneva Darnell McQueen was born on December 4, 1950 in Greenville, to Joe and Mary Margaret (Isham) Daniel.
She married Barney McQueen in 1988 and he preceded her in death in 2012.
Darnell worked as a Deputy District Clerk for Hopkins County, and was a member of First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs.
She is survived by her son, Dusty McQueen of Greenville, and was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Mary Lufkin
Graveside service for Mary Lufkin, age 90, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Gafford Chapel with Louis Lufkin, Danny Jones, Josh Roberson, David Jones, Travis Jones and Joel Friddle serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.
Ms. Lufkin passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Carriage House Manor, Sulphur Springs.
Mary June was born on August 2, 1930 in Sulphur Springs, to E.T. (Bob) and Lucy Collins.
She retired as a nurse aide and spent most of her career at the Wichita State Hospital.
She is survived by her sons, Danny L. Jones and wife, Paula and Louis Lufkin; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary June was preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy Jones Jr.; sisters Margie Price and Jessie Culp; brothers, Maxie Collins and Troy Collins.
Memorials can be made to Carriage House Manor.

Merri Lewis
A Memorial service for Merri Lewis, age 63, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at a later date on the family farm in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Mrs. Lewis died Monday, October 19, 2020 at Sunny Springs Health and Rehab in Sulphur Springs.
Merri was born on November 16, 1956 in Dallas, to Roland Lewis and Neeta Ball Lewis.
She was married to Dale Johnson in Dallas, on December 28, 2000.
Mrs. Lewis received her BA degree from the University of Texas and worked as a Registered Nurse and a computer programmer.
She was kind and loved her family.
She loved working in the garden and being with animals.
She is survived by her husband: Dale Johnson; brothers: Stephen Lewis and David Lewis.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Roland and Neeta Lewis.
James Arthur Hale
Graveside services for James Arthur “Jimmy” Hale, age 86, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Brashear Cemetery.
There will be no formal visitation.
James passed away on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home.

Bonny Lane Garrett
Funeral services for Bonny Lane Garrett, age 61, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Joel Tiemeyer officiating and Matt Garrett assisting.
Interment will follow at Miller Grove Cemetery with Paul Garrett, Jr, Zach Collett, Lane Garrett, Logan Collett, Matt Garrett, Michael Morgan, Delbert Miller, and Tony Gonzalez serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 7:00 p.m. with family being present from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Bonny passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at her residence.
She was born on June 24, 1959 in Greenville, TX, the daughter of Weldon and Peggy Pierce Millsap.
She married Paul Garrett on September 24, 1977 in Brasher, TX.
Together they owned and operated Paul’s Heating and Air, where she worked as the office manager and secretary.
She loved shopping, going to canton, and spending time with her family.
Bonny is survived by husband, Paul, son, Paul Garrett Jr and wife Christi of Malakoff, TX, daughters, Lindsey Collett and husband Zach of Sulphur Bluff, Ginger Garrett of Point, brother, Randy Millsap and wife Carolyn of Winnsboro, sisters, Donna Neal of Sulphur Springs, Janie Miller and husband Delbert of Miller Grove, grandchildren, Bailey Early, Payton Hale, Gracie Nichols, Abbie Garrett, Hunter Nichols, Kloe Townson, Braydan Garrett, Jacob Townson, Lane Garrett, Raylee Garrett, Rease Garrett, Alley Collett, Madi Collett, and Logan Collett.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Bert Lee
Graveside service for Bert Lee, age 82, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 A.M on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Como Cemetery.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Lee passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Sunny Springs Nursing Home, Sulphur Springs.
Hubert Bert Lee was born in Como, Texas, on March 22, 2020, the youngest of seven children, born to Walter Clayton Lee and Jessie Irene Cannon Lee.
They have all preceded him in death.
He spent most of his life in Como.
He played on the Boys Softball team for Como High School, was active in the Future Farmers of America Chapter, and graduated from Como High School in 1956.
He married Barbara Joan Koontz Hodges on September 17, 1976 in Como, Texas.
Bert and Barbara were active members of Family Life Church, Sulphur Springs, until her passing in 2004.
Bert continued to attend regularly and dearly loved reading his Bible.
He spent many hours going to nursing homes and reading to the residents.
He was a resident of Sunny Springs for five and a half years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
