Clara Elizabeth Young
Memorial services for Clara Elizabeth Young, age 94, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Cook officiating.
A private family interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Harvey-Crusaders Sunday School Class and Dr. I. L. Balkcom.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mrs. Young passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Young was born on August 23, 1920 in the Reilly Springs Community, the daughter of Freeman and Annabelle Finley Carlisle.
She married Johnny A. Young and he preceded her in death after 52 years of marriage.
Mrs. Young worked for Sears for many years in personnel management.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and served faithfully in the homebound ministry up until February of this year.
She is survived by her son, Mike Young and wife Sue of El Paso, TX, granddaughters, Sarah Elizabeth Wilson and husband Brian of Austin, TX, Rachel Diane Smith and husband Michael of Gig Harbor, WA, sisters, Diane Dixon of Sulphur Springs, TX, Janey Swindell of Longview, TX great-grandchildren, Grant Michael, Dean Henry, Amanda Clair, Madelaine Rhys, Morgan Quinn, Jack Elden, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Col. Gerald Carlisle and Murrell Carlisle, sister, Juanita Hudson.
Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church Music Program, 614 Texas Street, Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mozell Willey Loyd
Funeral services for Mozell Willey Loyd, age 88, of Sulphur Springs will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2015 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Perry Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Zach Loyd, Bridger Loyd, Kason Scroggins, Shaun Carter, Chuck Shelton and Nathan Smith serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Watkins and Bobby Parkinson.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 one hour prior to service time at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mrs. Loyd passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at Carriage House Manor.
Mrs. Loyd was born on December 27, 1926 in Story, AR, the daughter of Willis Carroll and Mattie Lee Qualls Willey.
She married Dewitt Loyd on February 18, 1944 and he preceded her in death on June 6, 2005.
Mrs. Loyd was a homemaker and a member of Lake Highland Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Caroline Jordan and husband Marvin, Rickey Loyd and wife Phyllis, Paul Lee “Slick” Loyd and wife Susan and Ala Scroggins and husband Scott all of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Leigh Anne Watkins and husband Jay of Weatherford, Michelle Shelton and husband Chuck of Sulphur Springs, Shana Parkinson and husband Bobby of Irving, Lynnette Smith and husband Nathan of Longview, Zachary Loyd and wife Angie of Sulphur Springs, Jessica Carter and husband Shaun of Bullard, Bridger Loyd of Sulphur Springs, and Kason Scroggins and wife Ashley of Sulphur Springs, 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Travis Wiley, and sister, Avo Castleberry.

Rebecca “Becky” Ann Calvert
Mrs. Rebecca “Becky” Ann Calvert, age 72, of Lindale, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at home, with her family by her side.
Becky was born in Sulphur Springs on January 30, 1943 to the late Morris Sheppard Bullock and Mary Ellen Green Bullock.
She graduated from Pickton High School in 1961, attended East Texas State University, and The University of Southwestern Louisiana.
She loved serving others, and was Sunday School teacher and musician in many churches.
She was most recently a member of First Baptist Church of Lindale.
Becky enjoyed painting, sewing, pottery and any form of art she could find.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Mr. Kenneth Mitchell Calvert of Lindale; son and daughter-in-law, Glen Mark and Monica (Spiva) Calvert of Mt. Pleasant; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa (Calvert) and Jim Lilley of Plano; brother and sister-in-law, Burke Morris and wife Sue (Driskell) Bullock of Winnsboro; several nieces and nephews; four grandchildren, Amanda LaRue Calvert, and Christine Faith Calvert of Mt. Pleasant, Rachel Renea Lilley and Meagan Elizabeth Lilley of Plano.
Becky’s family will receive friends on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro; funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at 3:00 PM also at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro, Rev. David Welch, and Rev. Ronnie Stribble officiating; interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Hopkins County; David Goodson, J.T. Luper, Tom Koehler, Alan Bullock, Wayne Damon, and Wayne Jones will serve as pallbearers; honorary pallbearers, will be members of the Encouragers Sunday School Class.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: First Baptist Church of Lindale - Memorial Scholarship Fund, The Hospice of East Texas or Baylor Healthcare System Foundation.
Rodney Campbell
Memorial services for Rodney Campbell, age 51, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 25, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with C.J. Duffey officiating.
Mr. Campbell passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at his residence.
He was born the son of Joy D. Clyde Campbell and Tommie (Cathey) Haines on August 12, 1963 in Dallas.
He was a painter by trade.
Survivors include his mother, Tommie Haines of Sulphur Springs; father, Joy D. Clyde Campbell of Bogota; sons, Rodney Morris and Aaron Morris, both of Gun Barrell City; brothers, Joe Cathey of Dayton; Troy Campbell and Billy Campbell, both of Sulphur Springs.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Morris.
Walt Anthony Hux
Graveside services for Walt Anthony Hux will be conducted in Harmony Cemetery, Hopkins County, Winnsboro, TX, Sunday afternoon May 24, at 2 p.m.
Visitation is Sunday noon until 2 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home Winnsboro.
Mr. Hux passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the age of 51.
He was born on March 1, 1964, to Ronald Dean Hux and Nita Joe Ross Hux.
Mr. Hux was a truck driver for Kicker Energy, and was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Pickton.
Survivors include his son, Joby Hux of Longview; daughter, Brittney Hux of Quitman; parents, Ronald Dean Hux and Nita Joe Ross Hux; sister, Shari Gray and husband Randy of Sulphur Springs; five grandchildren, Joby Hux, Jr, Layla Hux, Chole Hux, Sofia Hux and Aliyah Hux.
Raymond Ransom
Funeral service for Raymond “Chocolate Thunder” Ransom, 44, of Dallas, formerly of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted Saturday, May 23, 2015, 1 p.m. at New Life Full Gospel Church, 2029 N. St. Augustine Dr. in Dallas.
Visitation is Friday 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Eternal Rest Funeral Home 2830 S. Ervay St. in Dallas.
He is survived by his Aunt Mary Taylor Jackson of Sulphur Springs, and others of Dallas.
Hazel Elizabeth McIntire
Funeral arrangements for Hazel Elizabeth McIntire, age 93 of Winters, formerly of Sulphur Springs will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Hall officiating.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mrs. McIntire passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Senior Citizens Nursing Home in Winters.
She was born the daughter of Alvia Nolan and Essie Lee (Harrison) Hankins on November 10, 1921 in Hopkins County.
She married James Leroy McIntire on August 9, 1942.
He preceded her in death in 1989.
She was a retired LVN and volunteer at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital for thirty-four years.
She also co-owned and helped operate the family dairy and loved baking for other people.
She was a member of Davis Street Baptist Church and the president for over 25 years of the Fellowship Class.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wilkey and husband, Royce of Winters; grandchildren, David Scott, Danny Scott, Jim Scott, Tim Scott, Russell Wilkey and Wayland Wilkey; great-grandchildren, Jessica Barnhart, Kaitlyn Wilkey and Jade Wilkey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judy Scott; grandson, Donny Scott; seven brothers, Ewell Hankins, Curtis Hankins, Alvis (Sonny Boy) Hankins, Ovis Hankins, Garlin Hankins, Nolan Hankins and Travis Hankins and six sisters, Myrtle White, Ruth Frazier, Sybil Dorner, Lola Mae Briggerstaff, Evelyn Massey and one infant.
Memorials can be made to Davis Street Baptist Church or Hopkins County Memorial Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary.
Patricia Ann Sanders Franklin
Memorial service for Patricia Ann Sanders Franklin, 61, of Sulphur Springs, will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel.
She passed away on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
She was born on October 3, 1953 in Sulphur Springs, the daughter of Louis J. Sanders and Oleta Ragan Potts they survive.
She is also survived by daughters Tracy Beck and husband John, Jr. of Paul’s Valley, OK, Sherry Page and Quon Clayton of Sulphur Springs, son, Jason Page and wife Stephanie of Sulphur Springs, and daughter, Tonya Johnson and husband Larry of Sulphur Springs, brother, Michael Sanders and Lynette of Sulphur Springs, sister, Donna Donald of Emory, 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Jackie Sanders.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
Aline Daniels Horn
Graveside services for Aline Daniels Horn, age 98, of Commerce, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2015 at Como Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., prior to service time, at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Womack, Dustin Womack, Clay Brown, Steve Womack, James Brown, and Rickey Townsend.
Aline passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Oak Manor Nursing Home in Commerce.
She was born on June 25, 1916 in Greenville, TX, the daughter of Clyde and Mettie Mahand Jackson.
She was a housewife and also worked in the meat market for Piggly Wiggly for many years.
She married Wesley Lee Daniels in January of 1935. He preceded her in death on June 2, 1993.
She later married Harold Henry Horn on January 1, 2004.
He preceded her in death on December 15, 2011.
She was a member of the Congregational Methodist Church.
She loved her Lord, family, and church.
She loved cooking and was an excellent seamstress.
Aline took on the role of head of household when she was only 13 as her mother was very ill.
Her father and two brothers were killed when they were hit by a train while going to get the doctor for her mother.
Her mother did not know for two months that her husband and boys had passed away.
She is survived by son, Billy Wes Daniels and wife Mary Frances of Sulphur Springs, granddaughters, Yvonna Womack and husband Steve of Saltillo, Angie Brown and husband James of Sulphur Springs, Amy Townsend and husband Rickey of Cumby, great-grandchildren, Daniel Womack and wife Marsha of the Oakland Community, Dustin Womack and wife Meleina of Saltillo, Misty Cline and husband Clinton of Sulphur Springs, Morgan Brown and Jeremy of Sulphur Springs, Jessie Brown and Kyle of Sulphur Springs, Rikki Townsend and Caleb of Cumby, Clay Brown and Kaitlin of Sulphur Springs, great-great-grandchildren, Calli Callahan, Ally Thompson, Mark Cline, Dakoda and Levi Womack, Landrie and Rance Brown, sister, Evelyn Fulfer of Commerce, and niece, Judy Ellis.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, parents, brothers, Geffrey and Billy Wayne Jackson, and nephew, Eugene Fulfer.
