JoAnn Allen
Memorial service for JoAnn Allen, age 84, of Point, will be held Saturday, Aug. 29, at First Baptist Church, in Point, at 11:00 am.
Visitation will be at 10:00 am. Bro. Zachary Honzell will officiate.
Burial will be at a later date in Lynch Cemetery.
JoAnn passed away Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at Mesquite Specialty Hospital.
She was born Nov. 11, 1930, in Point, to Lester and Sadie Mae Moore Rabe.
She was raised in the Point area, and, graduated from Point High School.
She married J.W. Allen in Houston. JoAnn was a homemaker, and, also, a member of First Baptist Church in Point.
In her later years, she worked as a library assistant at Rains County Library.
JoAnn was a member of the Point Ladies Civic Club and was counted as a Friend of the Library.
Survivors include:
Son: Les Allen of Point.
Numerous other loving family and friends.

Laura Totten Cassady
Funeral arrangements for Laura Totten Cassady, age 61, of Winnsboro, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Dr. Joel Tiemeyer officiating.
Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Winnsboro, with Shane Barnett, Jim Worster, Jerry Lucas, Kyle Barnett, Seth McNeal and Jacoby Smith serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are the 1972 Class of Sulphur Springs High School.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cassady passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
She was born on April 1, 1954, the daughter of George and Mae Dale (Ward) Totten in Wichita Falls.
She married Mike Cassady on August 4, 2000 in Sulphur Springs.
She was a homemaker and was a member with The Way Bible Church.
She is survived by her husband; Mike; daughters, Victoria Massey Smith and husband, Jacoby of Sulphur Springs, Courtney Rorie McNeal and husband, Seth of Paris and Casey Cassady of Sulphur Springs; father, George Totten of Winnsboro; brothers, George B. Totten, IV of Riverside, CA, and Gary Totten of Willis; grandchildren, Kyle Barnett, Payton Barnett, Jacy Mae Barnett, Braydon Lee Smith, Deacon Smith, Codi Lauren Smith, Bentley Michael Cassady and Rayley Marie Ruthart.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mae Dale in 2007.
Memorials can be made to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Masonic Funeral services for James Leroy Tucker, age 89, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Maxon and Bro. Bob Woodworth officiating.
Masonic services will be provided by the Commerce and Sulphur Springs Masonic Lodges.
Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas.
Ruby Whitehead

Ms. Whitehead passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Trinity Mother Frances in Tyler.
She was born on June 24, 1963, the daughter of Willis Teen, Jr. and Nellie Joyce (McCown) Whitehead in Dallas, Texas.
Jody Young

Ms. Young passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at her residence.
She was born on October 9, 1965, the daughter of Dr. Fred and Annis (Fair) Hill in Osborne, KS.
She is survived by her daughter, La Tarra Young of Sulphur Springs; parents, Dr. Fred and Annis Hill of Sulphur Springs; brothers, Dr. Jason Hill and wife, Lori of Sulphur Springs and Dr. Jerod Hill and wife, Carolyn of Branson, MO; sister, Jada Service and husband, Collin of Las Vegas, NV and grandchildren, Zoltan Young and Serenity Young.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Zoneya Young.
Hallie Louise Sale
A Memorial service for Hallie Louise Sale, age 94, of Sulphur Springs, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Spence Chapel, First Baptist Church, with Dr. Roy Edgemon officiating.
Visitation at 10:00 a.m. will precede the service.
A Graveside service will be held at the Evergreen Cemetery on Sunday, August 30, 2015, in Stanton, TX, at 2:00 p.m.
Hallie passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at her residence in Sulphur Springs, TX.
She was born February 4, 1921, in Dickens County, TX, the daughter of J.B. McNerlin and Edith Louise McCombs McNerlin.
She married James Woodford Sale on August 31, 1940, in Midland, TX.
He preceded her in death.
Hallie was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, TX.
She is survived by daughters, Sandra Baucom and husband David of Sulphur Springs, TX, Sharon Camp of Kilgore, TX, and Judy Sale of Stephenville, TX, grandchildren Scott Ward, Traci Tippitt, Jay Ward, Connie Brice, Cathy Gray, Darren, Carla Owens, Wade Sale, Spencer Sale, step granddaughter Denise Holland, great-grandchildren Jamie Powell, Ashley Ward, Allison Ward, Kristen Ward, Christopher Ward, Anna Ward, Ben Brice, Courtney Brice, Julianna Brice, Isabella Brice, Hope Brice, Garret Gray, Sam Gray, Justin Owens, Morgan Owens, Riley Sale, Ashby Sale, Eli Sale, Lilly Sale, Cameron Sale, Trevor Sale, Luke Sale, and Emily Sale, and step-great-granddaughter Heather Wimberly, great great-grandchildren Liam Brice and Emma Brice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son James Randall Sale and 6 siblings.

Graveside services for Eddie E. Bullard, 79, of Como, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 8, 2017 at Prairie Springs Cemetery in Ben Wheeler, TX, with Bro. Fred Lewis officiating.

Eddie passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at his residence.
He was born on November 7, 1937 in Dallas, TX, the son of Curtis Cleo Bullard and Floy Fay Corley Bullard Mitchell.
Eddie worked as a truck driver for C&H Transport for many years.
He is survived by son, Charles Curtis Bullard and wife, Karen of Kaufman; grandchildren, Clinton Satchell, Thomas Satchell, Curtis Bullard, Tina Bullard, Anita Bullard, and multiple great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-dad, Thomas Aron Mitchell, daughter, Anita Ann Bullard Satchell, brother, Warren William Bullard, and sister, Delores Dianne Bullard.

Mary Ruth Oller
Mary Ruth Oller, age 72, of Point, passed away at her home on Saturday, August 26, 2017.
She was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Hubert Arthur and Lula Loreais Fuller Coble.
Mary worked as a health provider for many years.
Survivors include:
Daughters: Karen Shumate Whitaker, of Eddy; and Amy Ivey of Point.
Son: Dennis Ivey of Point.
Grandchildren: Cristina Westerfield, Lee Whitaker, Michael Perez, Valerie Perez, Marcella Hensley, Adrienne Boaz, Randal Lewelling, Ivy Zuniga, John Zuniga, and Ash Zuniga.
Great-Grandchildren: Camile, Cayson, Brianna, Julian, Taylor, and MaeLeigh.
Also 1 sister, and 2 Brothers.
Preceded by: Parents, and daughters, Margaret Westerfield, and Yiente Shumate.
S. T. Hodges
Funeral service for S.T. Hodges, age 93, of Emory, will be held 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Church of Christ in Emory.
Paul Foley and Luis Camacho will officiate.
Interment will follow in Lake Fork Memorial Cemetery.
Mr Hodges died Sunday, September 3, 2017
Mr. Hodges was born in Rotan, February 2, 1924, to Benjamin Parker and Sophronia Elsie Walker Hodges.
He served his country bravely during WWI, was listed as MIA, and lived for some time as a POW in Germany.
Mr. Hodges married Dicksie Juanita Henson in Seminole, on July 8, 1946.
They have been married 71 years.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Emory.
Survivors include:

Daughters: Carol Cole of Emory; Kathy Dunn of Gary; Christy Chandler of Green Valley, AZ;
Son: Stacy Hodges of Emory;
Grandchildren: 13;

Preceded in death by: Parents, and 2 Brothers, and 3 Sisters.
James Troy Morrison
Funeral services for James Troy Morrison, age 88, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 26, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Rhoads officiating.
Interment will follow at Arbala Cemetery with Cecil Wyatt, Curt Mayo, and Marlin Jones serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lester, Bill Dwight Morrison, Joe Bowman, and all his CB buddies.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home.
James passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.
He was born on December 8, 1928, in Brashear, TX, the son of Lee Roy and Lillie Mae King Morrison.
He married Janice Marie Williams on July 8, 1955 in Mahoney, TX.
She survives.
James had a love for the Shriners and the Masonic Lodge.
He was a member of the Garland Masonic Lodge #441 AF and AM.
He worked with the Boy Scouts for many years and enjoyed being on the CB and Amateur Radio.
He loved traveling to all the national parks.
He retired from Fritz W. Glitsch where he worked as a welder-burner.
In addition to his wife Janice, he is also survived by sons, James Jeffery Morrison of St. Louis, MO, Curtis Morrison Mayo and wife Neka Jo of Sulphur Springs, sister, Kathleen Petty of Greenville, TX, grandchildren, Cheryl Mayo and Curt Mayo, great-grandchildren, Corde, Clancy, Graham, Gabe, Lincolm and Loften.
He is preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Young, Martha Courson, Jessie Fae Duncan, and brothers, Ray Morrison, O.L. (Buck) Morrison, and Howard Morrison.
