Ottis Hastell Wyly
Graveside service for Ottis Hastell Wyly, age 82, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Forest Academy Cemetery in Como, with Bro. Gary Thompson officiating.
Mr. Wyly passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Robert Bland
Funeral services for Robert Newton Bland, III, age 73, of Dike, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Bailey officiating.
Interment will follow at Nelta Cemetery with sons and grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Lehman and Howard Wissner.
Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to service time at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Robby passed away on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler.
Robby was born on May 9, 1944 in Houston, TX, the son of Robert Newton Bland, II and Matilda Sue Coleman Bland.
Robby graduated from the University of Houston as a mechanical engineer and worked for El Paso Rexene Products for over 20 years.
He then started his second career as a cattle rancher in Dike.
Robby was also a volunteer fireman with the Sulphur Bluff Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his greatest accomplishments, his three sons, Robert N. “Bobby” Bland, IV and wife Heather of Odessa, Marcus Scott Bland and wife Kathy of Argyle, Seth Bland and wife Shannon of Bristow, OK, brother, Keith Bland of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Robert N. “Beau” Bland, V.; Luke Bland; Brookelynn Bland; MacKenzie Bland; Zac Bland; Wyatt Bland; Wesley Bland; Walker Bland and Julianna Bland.
Memorials may be made to the Sulphur Bluff Volunteer Fire Department or to the Odessa Boys and Girls Club Judo, 800 E. 13th, Odessa, TX 79764.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.

Jimmie Geiswite
A Memorial Service for Jimmie Geiswite, age 97, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Pleasant Grove Methodist Church in Princeton, TX, on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Bob Miller officiating.
No visitation has been scheduled.
Ms. Geiswite passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.
She was born on February 24, 1920 to Walter Wyatt and Myrtle Joyce Tombs Wyatt in Farmersville, TX.
Jimmie worked as a salesperson in retail sales and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include: granddaughters: Stephanie Coleman and husband, Shorty of Sulphur Springs, Kim Callerman and husband, Max, Vanessa Smith and husband, Jackie; grandsons: Curtis Clark and wife, Winona of Mesquite, and Jeff Clark; 17 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; brother: Bill Wyatt; sisters: Jewell Lindley, Joyce Miller and Beth Baker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-dad, Clayborn Clifton; son: Charles Conrad Clark; grandson: Mike Clark; great-grandson: Justin Clark; brothers: Virgil Wyatt, Walter Glen Wyatt, George Clifton, Hollis Clifton, Kenneth Clifton and James Clifton; sister: Alice Baker.

Hesta Mae LaRue
Hesta Mae LaRue, age 100, of Gilmer, passed away on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018 in Gilmer.
She was born on January 2nd, 1918 in Hopkins County.
She was a member of the Winnsboro Church of Christ and had worked for many years for American National Insurance.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Scholfield in 1987, her second husband, Hermon LaRue, infant daughter, Mary Martha in 1942 and son, Richard Charles Scholfield in 2003.
She is survived by step-son, James B. LaRue of Pittsburg, Texas; step-daughter, Patricia Ann Durham of Gilmer, Texas; brothers, Jimmy Alford, Ben Alford; sister, Betty Spigener, 2 grandsons, Darren Scholfield, Scott Scholfield and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 25th, 2018 at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro, 816 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, TX 75494 at 2:00 pm with Mr. James B. LaRue officiating.
Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery.

John Old
Funeral service for John Old, age 84, will be held Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, 2:00 pm, in the chapel of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm, one hour prior to service time.
Interment will follow service in Smyrna Cemetery. John passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at the age of 84.
He was born in Dallas. He served his country in the U.S. Army. John married Janis Hogue in Mineola. His career was in firefighting with the Houston Fire Dept.
Survivors include:
Sons: Shell Old and wife Addie; and Larry Old and wife Kim;
Other Children: Ray Robbins; Bruce Robbins; Melva Shrum; Ritchie Thompson; Rodney Thompson; and RaDonna Davis;
Brother: Jordan Old, Jr.;
Preceded by: Parents; Wife, in 2010; and Sister, Patti Fickert.

Betty Jane Merrisman Gipson
Betty Jane Merriman Gipson left behind her earthly home and took up her new residence in Heaven on Sunday morning, September 3, 2017, at the age of 91.
She was born to Krouth Omer Merriman and Carrie Wallace Merriman of rural Garland, on May 19, 1926.
She was the baby of seven children born to the family and the lone surviving sibling.
Her joy was complete when she was reunited with her family and husband.
She attended Handley School on Jupiter Road through the sixth grade before transferring into the Garland Schools.
She graduated from Garland High School in 1944, and married fellow classmate, Billy Edward Gipson, in 1946.
The couple had two children, Sandra Gipson Strickland and Richard Neal Gipson.
Later, two granddaughters joined the family, Ginger Gipson Faught and Georgia Gipson.
Jane was widowed in 2000 after 53 years of marriage.
She continued to live in the family home in Rowlett, until 2004, when she made a move to Winnsboro, Texas, where she lived for the next 13 years.
Betty Jane was very active in her time in Winnsboro, especially after moving into the Autumn Wind Assisted Living facility in 2010.
She participated in all events and remained involved in everything up until last Friday morning when suffered a seizure.
Betty Jane had Alzheimer’s, but no one can say “she suffered” from it.
One would be hard pressed to find anyone any sweeter that this dear lady.
She kept her sweet, gentle spirit up until the time of her last breath on Sunday morning.
We will miss her greatly, but we are comforted in knowing she is rejoicing in her new home in Heaven surrounded by Mama and Papa, her husband Bill and all her brothers and sisters whom she has wanted to see for the past few years.
In addition to being survived by Sandra and Dan of Winnsboro, Richard and Mary of Ouray, CO, Ginger and Drew and their three children, Perry Jane, Nola, and Porter of Blanco, and Georgia of Rockwall, a host of nieces and nephews and their families, and an army of devoted sitters and staff of Autumn Wind Assisted Living.
Services for Mrs. Betty Jane Merriman Gipson will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro, Texas, with Rev. Henry and Linda Suche conducting.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Beaty Funeral Home, Winnsboro, Texas.
Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 3 pm at the Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
Memorials may be made to East Texas Hospice, 4111 University BLVD., Tyler, TX 75701.

Alejandro Montes Gonzalez
Graveside service for Alejandro Montes Gonzalez, age 68, of Pickton, were held Monday, September 4, 2017 at Pine Forest Cemetery with Bro. Hugo Arellano officiating and Jorge Gonzalez, Jorge Alberto Gonzalez, Brigido Valles, Noel Garcia, Alan Screws, and Juan Magańa serving as pallbearers.
Visitation was held Monday, September 4, 2017 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral.
Mr. Montes, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Carriage House Manor Farm in Sulphur Springs.
Alejandro was born to Gregorio and Maria Montes on February 11, 1949 in Mexico.
He served in the Army of Mexico.
He is survived by his son, Jorge Gonzalez and wife Erika of Greenville; daughters, Sonia Valles and husband Brigido and Milagros Garcia and husband Noel; three grandsons and four granddaughters.
Alejandro was preceded in death by his parents and son Carlos Gonzalez.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Juanita King
Funeral service for Juanita King, age 86, of Dallas, will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Murray Orwosky Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M.
Randy Reagan will officiate.
Interment will follow services at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cumby.
Mrs. King passed away Friday, September 1, 2017, at Baylor Health Care in Dallas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Raymond William Brown
Raymond William Brown, 54, of Commerce, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at his residence.
Raymond was born in Modesto, California, on March 21, 1963, to Elizabeth McGowan Brown and Everett Lloyd Brown.
He was married to Donna Huneke Brown. He was a Machinist.
Survivors include his wife, Donna, his son, Raymond Brown of Stephenville, his daughter, Mary Brown of Commerce, his brother, Everett L. Brown, Jr. of Campbell, his sisters: Karen Brown Narvaez (Lorenzo) of Grand Prairie and Sharon Brown Davis (John) of Longview, his parents, Elizabeth and Everett Brown, his mother & father-in-law, Nelda and Larry Huneke of Detroit, TX, his brother & sister-in-law, Scott and Chris Evans, of Hughes Springs, his brother-in-law, Roger Huneke of Detroit, TX, his aunt & uncle Ella and Jim Dickman, of Sulphur Springs.
Raymond is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews: Ariem Solis, Josh Evans, Sarah Solis, Lee Narvaez, Katherine Narvaez, Jana Blakely, Tiffany Brown, Collin Huneke, Linda Narvaez, Braxton Evans and Emmett Evans.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chad Ray Brown, and, his sister Linda Brown.
A memorial service for Raymond will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. at Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie, Texas, with Bro. Greg Horn officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.
In lieu of flowers, the Brown family is requesting donations be made to a charity of your choice.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home of Commerce.

Melvin Williams
Funeral services for Melvin Williams, age 60, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017 at New Beginnings Fellowship Baptist Church, Wilton Mac Morris, Pastor and Dr. Harold B. Nash, officiating.
Interment will follow at East Caney Cemetery with Terry Mosely, T.P. Person, Marcus Hood, Joe Dan Dial, Kelvin Debase, and Tony Taylor serving as pallbearers.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Williams passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, TX.
He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of O.D. and Jessie Williams.
Mr. Williams graduated Sulphur Springs High School Class of 1976 and retired from Wingo Feed Mill.
He is survived by daughter, MeRita Kennedy of Pittsburgh, TX, sisters, Tonya Williams, Shirley Williams, Sharon Palmer, all of Kansas City, Missouri, and Deborah Edward of Sulphur Springs, TX.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Reginald, Michael, and O.D. Williams, Jr., and sister, Willie “Mae” Williams.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
