Laurice Stokes
Graveside service for Laurice Stokes, age 76, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Independence Cemetery with nephew, Nelson Fitzgerald and Minister C.J. Duffey officiating.
Pallbearers will be Corey Hayes, Orlando Montgomery, Kenneth Lewis, Scotty Nelson, Lebaron Crook and Broderick Godbolt, with Glen Grant as honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Stokes passed away on June 20, 2021, at her residence.
Laurice Nelson Stokes was born in Como, Texas, to the late Tommie and Alice Nelson.
She attended school in Sandfield, Texas, and Douglas High School in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
She accepted Christ at an early age.
She was a member of the Independent Baptist Church.
Laurice is survived by her husband, Farrie Joe Stokes of Sulphur Springs, Texas; one daughter, Margaret Harris (Donnie) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; three sons, Leroy Ford (Hilda) of Como, Texas, Antonia Ford (Letitia) of Mount Pleasant, Texas and Javia Stokes of Sulphur Springs, Texas; eight grandchildren, Traylon Clayton (Willow), Kameron Stokes, Aida Stokes and Tyrell Porter, all of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Jamarian Ford and Jakarian Ford, both of Como, Texas, KaDarrian Chism of Hughes Springs, Texas, and Micah Saunders of Mt. Pleasant; one great-grandchild, Tray Shaun Clayton of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and one goddaughter, Rylee Godbolt (Rylee Girl) of Sulphur Springs, Texas; one sister, Mae Dru Scrubbs of Lompoc, CA; two brothers, Floyd Nelson (Jean) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, and Robert Nelson of Paris, Texas; special friend and neighbor Ann Grant, special neighbor and nurse Cheree Godbolt and daughter-in-law, Rashaun Stokes, all of Sulphur Springs, Texas; special niece, Tammy Duffy Nelson; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Alice Nelson; daughter, Audrudita Ford; grandson, Brian Finnie; brother, W.A. Nelson; and sisters, Bobbie Nelson and Peggy Montgomery.

Gregory Crawford
Mr. Gregory Crawford, age 49, of Winnsboro, passed away on Friday, September 20th, 2019 in Winnsboro.
He was born on November 12th, 1969 in Dallas, to the late Johnny Crawford and Suzanne Greene Crawford.
Gregory was Independent Contractor for Teleprobe Promotional Concepts and was a member of Community Bible Fellowship Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ginger Crawford of Winnsboro; three sons, Maxwell Crawford of Alabama, Alexander Crawford of Alabama and Bryson Bearden of Franklin County; two daughters, Olivia Crawford of Mobile, Alabama, and Briana Crawford of Franklin County; brother, Todd Crawford of Dallas; sister, Stephanie Ferguson of Dallas, Shelly Sampson of Dallas, and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 27th, 2019 at Community Bible Fellowship, 5644 Farm Road 69N, Dike, Texas 75482 at 2:00 pm, Rev. Ron Smedley conducting.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Ronnie Lee Day
Funeral service for Ronnie Lee Day, age 68, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Little officiating and Buddy Wiggins assisting.
Interment will follow at Electra Memorial Park, Electra, TX, with Jason Potter, Corey Stone, Justin McAbee, Mark Collier, Rex Lalk, Richard Taylor, Rick Lawlis, Joe Lawlis serving as pallbearers and Bob McAbee, Olen Manning, John Edd Noe, Kenneth Noe, Charles Martin serving as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Ronnie passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at his home.
Eric Russell Reynolds
Eric Russell Reynolds, age 68, of Emory, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.
Memorial service scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory.
No visitation has been scheduled.
Eric was born on July 15, 1951, in Ft. Worth, to Joe Russell and Dorothy Jean Bodine Reynolds.
He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War.
It was his honor to be a part of standing for his country.
Eric married Peggy Diana Canada in Carlsbad, New Mexico, on July 12, 1981.
He was a Master Electrician in Construction and worked on many dangerous and precarious jobs.
Eric was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.
He belonged to IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers), and to DAV (Disabled American Veterans.)

Shirley Goodson
Funeral service for Shirley Goodson, age 74, of Dike, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel, September 21, 2019.
Interment will follow at Tira Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 6 to 8 P.M.
Mrs. Goodson passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Rock Creek Health and Rehabilitation, in Sulphur Springs.
Shirley was born on October 24, 1944 in Odessa, TX, to Daniel and Willie Posey.
She married Gearl Goodson in Mt. Vernon. on November 4, 1961.
Shirley worked as a home health caregiver.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda White and husband, Jimmy, Sharon Wright and husband, Timothy Jr.; sons, Earl Goodson and wife, Ruby, David Goodson and his wife, Vickie; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Danny Posey, Billy Posey; and sister, Pam Monds.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter, Jeanie Hargrave.

Richard Lemoien
Richard Lemoien, age 29, of Emory, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2019, in a head-on automobile accident.
The accident happened September 12th, on State Highway 276.
“Richie” was born October 18, 1989, in Mt. Pleasant, Titus County, to the parentage of John Wayne and Carol Lynn Duffek Lemoine.

Jack Wayne Lawson
Funeral services for Jack Wayne Lawson, age 86, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Smedley officiating and Lauren Harpole assisting.
Interment will follow at Mahoney Cemetery with Charles Chapman, Richard Dodd, Les Jackson, Gene Ball, Randy Dodd, and David Hoover serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kerry Fox, Lewis Tatum, C.J. Davis, Billy Davis, and L.G. Hankins.
Visitation will be held at 2 p.m., prior to service time.
Jack passed away on September 19, 2019 at his residence.
He was born on May 25, 1933 in Mahoney, TX, the son of Bryan Taft and Dottie Mae Beadles Lawson.
He married Shirley Chapman on October 25, 1952 in Sulphur Springs. She survives.
He served in the United States Air Force, discharged with honors of National Defense, Korean service with Bronze Star United National Service, and good conduct medal.
He was later a Dallas County Deputy.
Then retired from the automobile business.
He was a lifetime member of the Mahoney Cemetery Association and American Legion.
He loved spending time with family, he loved fishing and gardening, and was of the Methodist Faith.
In addition to his wife Shirley, he is survived by son, Bruce Lawson and fiance Linda Estes of Arlington, TX, daughter, Tina Fox and husband Kerry of Mount Pleasant, TX, grandchildren, Jacklyn Hatley and husband Tommy of Kennedale, TX, Hunter Lawson of Arlington, TX, Lauren Harpole of Mount Pleasant, TX, Cody Bail of Mount Pleasant, TX, and great-grandchildren, Kayla and Kara Hatley both of Kennedale, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Karla Lawson.
In lieu of flowers, Jack requested memorials may be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, 2222 Welborn Street, Dallas, Texas 75219, in name of Emma Cooper.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
Charlie Johnston
A Celebration of Life ceremony for Charles “Charlie” Harle Johnston, age 70, of Sulphur Springs, will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the Sulphur Springs Country Club.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Flippin, Joe Mack Gober, Floyd Nelson, Mack Reed, his grandchildren and Mark Rory and Mike Barrett posthumously.
Charlie passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Christus Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler.
Charlie was born on November 23, 1950, in Sulphur Springs Texas, the son of Thomas Harle Johnston and Gwynn Banks Johnston.
He is survived by Gail Johnston, his loving wife of 15 years.
Charlie owned and operated the Banks Company for over 35 years.
He was an avid golfer and a man who loved his family very much.
In addition to his wife, Gail, he is survived by his children, Erin Garcia of Carrollton, Christy Godwin and husband Paul of Marshall, and Robbie Cunningham and wife Elisha of Choudrant, LA; brother, Tommy Johnston and wife Linda of Sulphur Springs; and grandchildren, Cason Garcia, Cohen Garcia, Claire Godwin, Madison Cunningham, Sawyer Cunningham and Zachary Cunningham.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the First Tee at Firstteepineywoods.org.

Mr. Godfrey passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019, Rock Creek Health and Rehab.

Juanita Lois Robinson Williams
Funeral service for Juanita Lois Robinson Williams, age 77, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 21 at League Street Church of Christ with Mike Eason officiating.

Mrs. Williams passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Carriage House Manor, Sulphur Springs, from Alzheimer’s Disease.
Juanita was born on December 5, 1941 in Summerfield, OK, to Virgil and Lois Robinson.
She married John Williams on August 22, 1958 in Levelland, TX.
She was a Machine Operator for Borden’s.
She was a member of Cross Spur Cowboy Church and League Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Tanna Kearney and husband, Bob, Donna James, Johna Burchfield and fiancé, Lindy Shipley, Angela Edwards and husband, Keith; grandchildren, Johnny Kearney and wife, Tammy, Jesse James and wife, Melissa, Ashley James and fiance, Justin Saxton, Cassie Cannon and husband, Lonnie, Pacen Edwards, Jace Burchfield; eighteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren and other loving family and friends.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Bobby Ray Kearney, Jr.; great-granddaughter, Kortney Noell Kearney; brother, Marvin Robinson; sister, Dena Riley.
