Michael Easton Soto
Funeral service for Michael Easton Soto, age 4, of Emory, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at Point Church of Christ with Brother Richard Kellam officiating.
Interment will follow at 4:30 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery with Bryce Holcomb, Joshua Morgan, Adrain Ramos and John Ramos serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers are Jake Hooten, Andy Soto and Angel Soto.
Visitation will be at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Easton was born on April 26, 2017, to Michael Soto and Amber Morgan in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
He passed away on June 11, 2021, in Dallas.
He loved Toy Story, playing with dinosaurs and playing outside.
Easton is survived by his father, Michael Soto and mother, Amber Watson; sisters, Jordyn Hooten and husband Jake, Jailie Soto, Olivia Fouse and Emerson Soto; brothers, Hayden Newby, Frankie Soto and Michael Soto, Jr.; grandparents, Billy Morgan, Scott and Rachelle Hooten, and Deeann Soto; aunts, Tiffany Shelton, Shannon Soto, Chasidi Ramos; and uncles, William Morgan, Justin Morgan and wife, Tausha, Jenson Hooten, Angel Soto and Andy Soto.
He is preceded in death by grandmother, Sandra Morgan and grandfather, Frankie Soto; aunts, Kayla Morgan and Jennifer Morgan; and Uncle Cody Morgan.

Tracy Wayne Coker
Funeral service for Tracy Wayne Coker will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Mr. Coker passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Donna Jean Cope
Funeral services for Donna Jean Cope, age 57, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2019 at West Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Tony McCoy officiating.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park with Ty Clark, Michael Cope, Robert Sanchez, Jimmy Gibson, Josh Cope, Jacob Cope, Zaden Sanchez, and Triston Gibson serving as pallbearers.
There will be no formal visitation.
Donna passed away on September 16, 2019 in Sulphur Springs.
She was born on January 11, 1962 in Dallas, TX, the daughter of Jimmy Don Cope and Patricia Jean McCoy.
She worked as a dietician’s assistant for Hopkins County Memorial Hospital for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with family and her pet Snickers.
She also enjoyed watching dirt track races.
She is survived by mother, Patricia McCoy of Sulphur Springs, son, Ty Clark and wife Jacqueline of Sulphur Springs, daughters, Tria Sanchez and husband Robert of Lufkin, TX, Tessa Gibson and husband Jimmy of Santa Fe, TX, brothers, Jimmy Don Cope, Jr. and wife Janice of Rockwall, TX, Rickey Wayne Cope and wife April of Nevada, TX, stepbrothers, Mike McCoy of Dike, TX, Tony McCoy and wife Sherrie of Tyler, TX, grandchildren, Zaden, Zoey, Zakery, and Ryan Sanchez, Tapainga and Triston Gibson, and Trae and Truitt Clark, father of her children, Tracy Clark, as well as 8 nieces and 10 nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Don Cope, stepfather, Bobby McCoy, maternal grandparents, Mildred and Ted Jacobs, father-in-law, Joe A. Clark, grandmother-in-law, Thelma Clark, and stepbrother, Danny McCoy.

Arlon Aubrey Morgan
Graveside services for Arlon Aubrey Morgan, age 87, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 25, 2021, at Martin Springs Cemetery with Pastor Joel Tiemeyer officiating.
Pallbearers will be Morgan McCoy, Scotty Mitchell, Bobby Mauldin, Ed Moore, Chuck Skaggs, Chris Penson, and Rodney Coke.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, June 24, 2021, at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Arlon passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at his home.
He was born on April 19, 1934, in Hopkins County, TX, to Royce and Ruth Crump Morgan.
Arlon was of the Baptist Faith.
He graduated from Sulphur Springs High School in 1952 and went to work as a butcher for Safeway.
He married Ethel Lee in 1955 and helped raise her 2 children, Donna and Troy. They divorced in 1974.
He was a long-time dairyman, owning and operating Morgan’s Dairy until he retired in 1998.
He married Deborah Irby on October 24, 1984, in Sulphur Springs, TX.
Together they owned and operated A Little Bit Country club in Commerce, TX.
After retirement, Arlon enjoyed many years of cruising and traveling different places with Debbie.
In his spare time, he loved watching the cows, feeding, and watching all the different birds and squirrels, and taking naps in his sunroom.
Arlon was the most loving husband, father, and papa around.
He was also the best teacher of life’s many lessons that anyone could ever have.
To know him, was to love him and he will be greatly missed by all who did.
Arlon is survived by wife, Debbie Irby Morgan, daughters, Lisa Smith and husband Bobby, Shannon Mitchell and husband Scotty, grandchildren, Morgan McCoy and Macie McCoy, great-granddaughter, Averi McCoy, brother, Miller Dee Morgan and wife Evelyn, sisters-in-law, Linda Morgan and Elsie Morgan, stepdaughter, Donna Blair and husband Steve and their daughter Shannon, stepson, Troy and Marsha Nelson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Neal Morgan, Bob Morgan, James Morgan, Rayburn Morgan, sister, Margaret Loose, and first wife, Ethel.

Sterlena Emerson
Funeral services for Connie Sterlena Sharp Emerson, age 93, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 25, 2021 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charlie Sickles and Bro. Robert Burns officiating.
Interment will follow at Sulphur Bluff Cemetery with Colton Emerson, Dakota Emerson, Johnny Green, Toney Hurley, Jerry Duncan, and Reggie Emerson serving as pallbearers.

Sterlena passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs.
She was born on December 5, 1927 in Yantis, TX, the daughter of Ernest and Lura Folmar Sharp.
She was a member of Independence Baptist Church.
She married Lee Emerson on October 19, 1945 in Saltillo, TX.
He preceded her in death on March 23, 2018.
Sterlena worked in the hospital cafeteria, at Lee’s, and as a hairdresser for many years.
She is survived by children, Jimmie Emerson and wife Katherine of Dike, Troy Emerson and wife Tammi of Paris, Kenneth Emerson and wife Jeannie of Dolphin, Al, Patsy Martin and husband Jim of Sulphur Springs, Ladena Daniels and husband David Maag of Sulphur Springs, sisters, Artie Mae Bailey of Reilly Springs, Betty McDaniel and husband Truman of Gilmer, 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Lee, she was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Ernest Chilton Sharp, and son-in-law, James Daniels.

Billy Crowson
A funeral service for Billy Crowson, age 92, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2021, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ed Lantz officiating.
Interment will follow at Tira Cemetery with Blake Crowson, Kade Crowson, Kenny Crowson, Brett Moore, John Crowson, Jr., Kirk Brown and Randy Lee serving as pallbearers; and the Messenger’s Class at First United Methodist Church will be serving as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home on Thursday, June 24, 2021, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Mr. Crowson passed away at Wesley House on Sunday, June 20, 2021, two days shy of his 93rd birthday
Billy Crowson was born on June 22, 1928, in Birthright, Texas, to Richard Baxter and Maudie (Mayfield) Crowson.
He married Nell Lee in 1948 in Greenville, Texas.
Billy served in the United States Army, where he was a Tank Commander.
He was a retired postman and business owner.
Billy was a member of the National Letter Carrier’s Association.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Nell; children, Billy Crowson and wife Carol of Mt. Vernon, Texas, and Larry Crowson and wife Carrie of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Blake Crowson and wife Katiee Crowson, Kaci Crowson, Brooke Crowson and Kade Crowson.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathy Crowson; eleven brothers; and two sisters.

Dee Wayne Gooding
Funeral service for Dee Wayne Gooding, age 68, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Bro. Mark Thompson officiating.
Interment will follow at Richland Cemetery with Davin Jack Gooding, C.J. Stephens, Christopher Clark, James Branch, Cory Glover, Brad Stephens, John Merrill and Shawn Kirkbride serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Gooding passed on June 20, 2021 away at Christus Mother Frances in Sulphur Springs.
Dee Wayne Gooding was born December 11, 1952 in Sulphur Springs, TX, to Jack Gooding and Vada (McFarland) Gooding.
He was an Aircraft Mechanic and an A/C and Refrigeration Specialist.
Dee Wayne served during the Vietnam War as a Marine.
Dee was a man of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his children, Rene Stephens and husband, Brad of Sulphur Springs, TX, and Wayne Gooding, II and wife, Debbie of Sulphur Springs, TX; grandchildren, CJ Stephens, Madeline Stephens, Alli Stephens, Shelbilyn Rich, Davin Jack Gooding and Damon Gooding; sisters Linda Glover and husband, Joe and Nita Merrill and husband, John; brother, Jerrold Gooding and wife, Teresa Burton.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Billy Don Gooding.

Virginia Wright
A funeral service for Virginia Wright, age 90, will be held at on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Coffee Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, TX.
She was born the daughter of Garlin McQueen and Willie Harris McQueen in Como, TX, on December 28, 1930.
She graduated from Poly High in Long Beach, California, and went to college at City College in Lakewood, California.
She was married to Preston Saddler in 1948 and he preceded her in death.
She then married James Wright in 1954.
Mrs. Wright retired from Long Beach General Hospital in 1981, then went to work at Dallas Teen/Life Challenge in 1989, from where she retired.
Virginia was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Como, TX.
Survivors include: son: Preston Saddler; grandchildren: Melinda Saddler, Jau’tenae Saddler and Jeremy Saddler; sister: Verrea Roland; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Garlin and Willie McQueen; husbands: Preston Saddler and James Wright; son: Jerry Saddler; sister: Vernell McCall.
Charles Potts
Graveside service for Charles Potts, age 81, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Old Tarrant Cemetery with Rowdy France officiating.
Serving as pallbearers Brody Potts, Lane Potts, Mason Potts, Maddox Potts, Haygen Potts, and Anderson Adams.
There will be no formal visitation.
Mr. Potts passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at residence in Sulphur Springs.
Charles was born October 15, 1938 in Brashear, to Charlie Eual “Chock” and Delila Francis Potts.
He married Betty France in Sulphur Springs, TX.
Charles was a truck driver for Wingo Feed and was a member of the Cross Country Cowboy Church.
Charles is survived by his wife, Betty; sons, Charles Butch Potts, Jr. and Kelly Potts and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Amber Adams and husband, Dustin, Brody Potts and wife, Sarah, Raven Potts, Lane Allton Potts, Haizley Potts, and Hadley Potts; great-grandchildren, Mallari Moddy, Mason Potts, Maddox Potts, Anderson Adams, and Haygen Potts.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Clinton Potts.

Mrs. Leverett passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Autumn Winds Nursing Home, Winnsboro, TX.
Mary Catherine was born on November 16, 1936 in Direct, TX, to Theo and Edith (Wilkerson) Lay.
She married Ernest Bunch in Divide, Texas, on December 22, 1951.
He preceded her in death in 2007.
She then married Richard Leverett in Wylie, TX, on May 14, 2011.
He preceded her in death in 2014.
Mary Catherine was a cook for school cafeteria and a member of Brashear Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcia Blevins of Brashear, Paula Rodriguez and husband, Roy of Brashear; son, James Bunch and wife, Vicky of Terrell; grandchildren, Ashley Freitas, Johnnie Blevins Warner, Russell Blevins, Clay Bunch, Jenny Bunch Cousins, Stuart Rodriguez, Heather Willey; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, J.T. Lay; sister, Norma Gilbreath.
Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands and sister, Martha Bell Qualls.
