Graveside funeral services for Tonja Nanette Ethier, 40, of Arizona, were conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004 in Como Cemetery with the Rev. Rueben Trussell officiating.
Albert Earl 'Rooster' Killebrew
Memorial services for Albert Earl "Rooster" Killebrew, 57, of Sulphur Springs, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 at West Oaks Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Thony Medina officiating.
Mr. Killebrew died Saturday, Jan. 22, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 22, 1947 in Dallas, the son of James Albert and Sarah Juanita Bilyeu Killebrew.
Mr. Killebrew was a rancher. He was a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his mother, Sara J. Killebrew of Sulphur Springs; three daughters, Shannon Hays and Kourtney Lewis of Dallas, and Tiffany Morgan of Dike; one sister, Sara Yudovitz; and six grandchildren, Shelbi Ellison, Hayley and Dustin Lawson, Brittney Griffin, Kayla and DeAnna Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Killebrew.

Funeral services for Ruth Heard Starrett, 88, of Yantis, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shannon Hassell officiating.
Charles Virgil Welch
Funeral services for Charles Virgil Welch, 59, of Sulphur Springs, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005 at First Christian Church with the Revs. Logan Vaughn and Tom Frisbee officiating.
Military honors were held by Hopkins County Military Coalition at the church following the service.
Ed Williams, Steve Covington, John Unertl, Thomas Jeffrey, Dr. Joe Worsham and Tommie Kile served as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Adrian Terry and the Hopkins County Military Coalition.
Mr. Welch died at 12:55 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005 at his residence.
He was born in Carthage, Panola County, on June 7, 1945, to Charlton Alex and Vivian Welch.
He married Patricia H. Hayes on Aug. 24, 1978, in Rockwall. She survives.
Mr. Welch, at 17 years of age, was in the first wave of U.S. Marines to land in Vietnam, serving in D Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Marines.
Other survivors include three daughters, Rhonda Marie Valdez of Springfield, Ohio, Pamela Dawn Boyd of Dayton, Ohio, and Denise Torre of Cancun, Mexico; two sons, Johnny Locke of Gunter and Dal Locke of Richardson; 14 grandchildren, Rachel Valdez, Zachary Valdez, Trinity Valdez, Sean Boyd, Corey Boyd, Kevin Boyd, Isis Torre, Ann Alyssa Torre, Ariana Torre, Cooper Locke, Heidi Locke, Jack Locke, Samantha Locke and Daniela Locke; one sister, Jan Worsham of Sulphur Springs; and three brothers, Jim Welch of Alvin, Daryl Williams of Corpus Christi and Mark Welch of Garland.
Mr. Welch was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services for Thomas Mervin Chester, age 89, of Dike, were held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Monday, January 31, 2005, with Larry Jordan and Ronny Glossup officiating.
Interment followed at Mahoney Cemetery with grandsons, Roger Burks, Gary Burks, Donald Lynn Patterson, Dubby Henton, Timmy Dorner, Brian Dorner, D.J. Powers and Blake Irving serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Ray, G.H. Mitchell, G. R. Romans, Marlin Jones, Rudolph Debord and Ray Vaughn.
