Jerry Hooker
Funeral service for Jerry Hooker, age 78, of Yantis, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Bro. Danny Caldwell and Bro. Paul Newby officiating.
Interment will follow at Yantis Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Hooker passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at his residence in Christus Mother Frances Hospital – Tyler, TX.
Jerry Hooker was born on July 11, 1942 to Paul and Odessa Hooker.
Jerry married Frances Traughber on May 14th, 1966 in Dallas, TX.
He worked as an Aircraft Assembler for L3 and was a member of Reilly Springs Baptist.
Jerry proudly served the U.S. Army in Korea, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Frances Hooker; children; Rita Bevill and husband, Kemmy and Jesse Hooker and wife, Amber; grandchildren, Maggie Hooker, Maddie Hooker, and Marshall Hooker; sister, Katie Oakley; and brother, Jackie Hooker.
Jerry was preceded in death by his, parents; and brother, James Hooker.
Arrangements under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Darnell McQueen
Memorial service for Darnell McQueen, age 69, of Greenville, will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 5 to 7 PM at First Baptist Church – Spence Chapel.
Mrs. McQueen passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020 at Greenville Nursing Home and Rehab, Greenville.
Geneva Darnell McQueen was born on December 4, 1950 in Greenville, to Joe and Mary Margaret (Isham) Daniel.
She married Barney McQueen in 1988, and he preceded her in death in 2012.
Darnell worked as a County Clerk for Hopkins County and was a member of First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs.
She is survived by her son, Dusty McQueen of Greenville, and was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

David Cummings
Memorial Services for David Cummings, 63, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at a future date.
Mr. Cummings passed away on Friday morning, May 19, 2017 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.
David Earl Cummings was born on July 31, 1953 in Wichita Falls, Texas, the son of Raymond Earl Cummings and Ruby Jean (Burchfield) Mosley.
David was in the Navy and a landscaper.
He is survived by his mother, Jean Mosely; sister, Cynthia Moore and husband Mike of Mellissa; brothers Mikel Cummings and Rick Cummings, both of Whitewright.
David was preceded in death by his father and sister, Claudia Hughes.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.
Wesley Bogan
Funeral service for Wesley Bogan, 82, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with David Gibson officiating.
Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery with Joe Salinas, Preston Salinas, John Ligo, Paul Krueger, Joseph Mora, and Dalton Kirby serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., prior to service.
Wesley passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville.
He was born on September 1, 1934 in Idabel, OK, the son of John W. and Essie Mae Bogan.
He married Eva Smith in Locksburg, AR, in 1959.
She survives.
Wesley worked at W.O. Bankston Lincoln Mercury for 35 years before retiring to Ridgeway in 1994 where he opened Ridgeway Auto Repair.
He was a member of the Commerce Church of Christ.
Wes enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, archery, baseball, and anything else outdoors.
More than anything else, Wes loved being around his family.
In addition to his wife, Eva of 57 years, he is also survived by sons, Bryan Bogan and wife, Joni of Mesquite, Patrick Bogan and wife, Crystal of Caddo Mills, daughters, Jennifer Bogan Mora of Sulphur Springs, Brenda Salinas and husband, Joe of Cumby, sister, Ruby Gray of Mesquite, grandchildren, Joseph Mora, Stacey Ligo and husband, John, Mallorie Bogan, Courtney Salinas, Preston Salinas, Ashley Loyless and husband, Tanar, Brooke Bogan, Shane Bogan, great-grandchildren, Carter Roberts, Emma Ligo, Bentley Loyless, Hayden Loyless, and Hayley Ligo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Leroy Bogan, Otis Bogan, Milton Bogan, and sisters, Gladys Pomroy, Marie Baxley, and Thelma Phillips.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.
Bobbie Jewel Needum
Funeral service for Bobbie Jewel Needum, 66, of Sulphur Springs, formerly of Dallas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with Donald Moore officiating.
Interment will follow at Mel Haven Cemetery with Bobby Needum, Nathaniel Needum, Joe Needum, Samuel Needum, Bernard Franklin, and Bobby Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Iroh, Ivory Needum, Jarrel Needum, and Brayson Needum.
There will be no formal visitation.
Bobbie passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her residence.
She was born on April 10, 1951 in Hemphill, TX, to the late Miccie Latham and Birdie Mae Williams.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age.
She moved to Dallas and was employed by Texas Instruments for over 20 years, until she retired.
She enjoyed fishing, cooking, and outdoor activities.
She was a very happy person and her smile would light up a room or any place she was present.
She was a joy and had a contagious laugh.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 28 years, Robert Needum, daughters, Cynthia Canady and husband, Ferman, Brigette Bryant, sister, Dorothy McCoy, grandson, Jacob Iroh, granddaughters, DeAundrea McDonald, Aliah Dixon, and a host of family and friends.

Lee Wise
Mr. Lee Wise, age 46 of Quitman, passed away on Monday, June 19th, 2017.
He was born on August 24th, 1970 in Grapevine, TX, to Jerry Thomas Wise and Wanda Gail Norton Meyer.
Mr. Wise worked as a MIT Specialist with Standard Aero, was a former member of the Mustang Club, founder of the the Winnsboro Cart Speedway, Salutatorian of Union Hill High School class of 1989, served in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm on the USS New Orleans, and was preceded in death by father, Jerry Thomas Wise.
He is survived by, mother, Gail Meyer and husband, Thomas of Perryville; wife, Frances Stout of Quitman; sons, Tommy Gene Thompson of Sulphur Springs; Michael Joseph Stout of Quitman, Zachary Thomas Wise of Las Vegas; brother, Guy Thomas Wise and wife, Heather of Quilian; sister, Laura Gail Cosby of Plano; one grandchild, Vayne Issac Thompson; nieces and nephews, Amy Michelle Kennemer, Elizabeth Renne’ Cozby, Britton Thomas Wise and Devin Skyler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Beaty Funeral Home-Winnsboro, 816 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, TX 75494.

Carol Ann Rawdon
Mrs. Carol Ann Rawdon, age 77, of Winnsboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 in Winnsboro.
She was born on August 4th, 1939 in Dallas, to the late Walter Willard Murdock, Sr. and Kathryn Inez Murdock.
She married Billy W. Rawdon, Sr. on August 18, 1956 and her preceded her in death on July 11, 2007.
She is survived by son, Bill Rawdon, Jr. of Kemp; daughter, Cheryl Rawdon of Winnsboro; grandchildren, Brian Rawdon of Tyler and Megan Howard and husband, Tarrell of Pittsburg, and three great-grandchildren, Trishelle, Jacorria and Tristian; Brother, Walter Willard Murdock, Jr. of Cedar Hill, and sister, Mary Jo Bradley of Cedar Hill.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Beaty Funeral Home, 816 W. Broadway, Winnsboro, TX 75494.
Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 23rd, 2017 at Purley Cemetery at 11:00 am, Bro. Richard “Nub” Brown conducting.
Faye Katheryn Sinclair Day
Faye Katheryn Sinclair Day, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on May 14, 2017, at the age of 86, at The Village at Stonebridge in McKinney, Texas.
She was born in Bismarck, Missouri, in 1930.
Faye graduated from Bismarck High School.
She attended Flat River Junior College in Missouri; she later finished her studies at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
Faye completed her graduate studies at Texas A&M Commerce.
Her career started as a phone operator for SWBC, in Weatherford, Texas.
Faye later became a Homebound Teacher working for three counties.
She was a blessing to many in the churches where her husband served by singing in the choir and participating in the UMW.
Faye developed many close friends in the Methodist Church.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Faye is survived by her husband, Rev. Gaither L. Day; sons, Benjamin L. Day and wife Sonia, Jon J. Day; grandchildren, Paul Day, Hillary Sartin and Jordan Day; great-grandchildren, Connor and Jocelyn Day; brothers, Nelson and Lonny Sinclair; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alene and Walter Sinclair and sister, Virginia Freer.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 20, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 315 N. Church Street, McKinney, Texas.
A reception will be held after the service in the Fellowship Hall.
A private burial will follow.
The family will receive friends for a visitation, one hour prior to the service at the church.

Jackson Lee Sanders
Jackson Lee Sanders, age 2, of Winnsboro, TX passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
He was born April 28, 2015 in Mount Pleasant, TX to Lanna Arrington Sanders and Cory Ray Sanders.
When Jackson was not with his mama, he was serving as the cheerful “greeter” at the auto parts store or helping his daddy take hay to the cows.
If Jackson was not by Lanna or Cory’s side, he was playing with Bai.
He loved his Sissy and she was a patient and loving big sister.
Anything to do with tractors, cows, or hay made Jackson smile and that beautiful smile is what everyone who knew and loved him will remember.
Though he was with us for only a little while, he touched the lives not only of his loving family, but of an entire community and, in our mourning, we are grateful.
Jackson is survived by his parents, Lanna and Cory Sanders of Winnsboro; his sister, Bailee Ann Sanders of Winnsboro; grandparents, Connie (“Mimi”) and Tommy (“Hops”) Barrett; David (“Pawpaw”) and Janet Arrington; and Don (“Pappaw”) Sanders, all of Winnsboro; Sharon (“Nana”) and Michael (“Poppy”) Dennehy of Greenville, TX; uncle, Jake (“Uncle Bubba”) Arrington of Winnsboro; aunts, Autumn Arrington and Maddi Arrington and their mother, Jacquie Danley of Sulphur Springs, TX; aunts and uncles, Amy (“Aunt Mamie”) and Robby McCraw of Mount Vernon, TX; K.C and Neal Dennehy of Dripping Springs, TX; Maura and Mike Deeds of Ramstein, Germany; cousins Adam, Kelsie, and Justin Arrington of Winnsboro; Noah, Luke, Jonah and Mali Grace McCraw of Mount Vernon; Dunagan and Harper Dennehy of Dripping Springs.
Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church Winnsboro under the direction of Beaty Funeral Home.
Mary Ellen (Broughton) Screws
Graveside Inurnment Service for Mary Ellen (Broughton) Screws, age 82, of Sulphur Springs, Texas, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Stouts Creek Cemetery with Bobby Jack Broughton officiating and Tom Frisbee assisting.
There will be no visitation.
Ms. Screws passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017 at her residence.
Mary Ellen was born on September 21, 1934, the daughter of James Wright and Lillian Ruth (Jones) Broughton in Talco, Texas.
She married Thad Screws whom preceded her in death in 1976.
Mary Ellen was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Donna Torres and husband, Felipe, Tommie Amaya and husband Martin; grandchildren, Jeff Painter, Brenda Baxter, Anthony Painter, Steven Roberts, Jason Jimenez, Christina Zetino, Catalina Torres, Jesus Torres; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Leslie of Odessa Texas and brother, Bobby Broughton of Mt Vernon, Texas.
Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, husband and granddaughter, Lashonda Painter.
