Marvin Ray “Doc” Reed
Funeral services for Marvin Ray “Doc” Reed, age 101, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeway Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Marvin passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Rock Creek Health and Rehab in Sulphur Springs.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.

Justin Monroe Andrus
Visitation for Justin Monroe Andrus, age 30, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
Justin passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at his residence in Sulphur Springs.
He was born on February 9, 1987, the son of Duane Andrus and Michelle (Smith) Myers in Sulphur Springs, TX.
He was a traffic controller for AWP.
He is survived by his parents, Duane and Dene Andrus, and Michelle and Loren Myers; daughter, Averie Nichole Andrus; son, Rylan James Andrus; sisters, Shona Deanne Lee, Jamie Diane Bockemehl, Samantha and husband, Garnett Stevens, Shayna Smith; brothers, Shawn Duane Andrus, Christopher David Bockemehl, Austin Myers; grandmothers, Mary McKinney Gurten, Delores Cain and great-grandmother Arline Flora.
Justin was preceded in death by both grandfathers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Roy Fay Lindsey
Funeral services for Roy Fay Lindsey, age 88, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Central Baptist Church with Bro. Gene Mattison officiating.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Scurry, TX with Frank McKee, Nicholas Plunk, Daniel Alexander, Ronnie Lollar, Jonnie McKee, and Clay Anstead serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., prior to service time.
Roy passed away on October 17, 2020 at Carriage House Manor.
He was born on January 9, 1932 in Stamford, the son of Aubrey and Dora Wilson Lindsey.
He married Betty McKee on February 14, 1955 in Lancaster, TX.
Together they owned House of Realty in Balch Springs where he worked as a real estate broker for 20 years.
He also loved to play golf in his spare time.
He is survived by wife, Betty Lindsey, daughter, Molly Plunk of Sulphur Springs, grandchildren, Nicholas Plunk, Rebecca Alexander, Sarah Plunk, Lindsey Lollar, great-grandchildren, Abigail Alexander, Elisabeth Alexander, Katelyn Alexander, Andrew Alexander, Joshua Alexander, Brennan Lollar, Zane Lollar, Arie Lollar, Scarlett Plunk, and Witten Plunk.
They also raised alongside their children, nephews, Frank McKee, Jonnie McKee, and niece, Tammi Anstead.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Juiquitta Hilton, granddaughter, Sue Ellen Hilton, brothers, James Earl Lindsey, Aubrey Ray Lindsey, Ernest Lee Lindsey, Weldon Gene Lindsey, Jimmy Edd Lindsey, and sisters, Marion Lois Jones and Patsy Marie Lindsey.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church Mission Fund, 840 Connally St., Sulphur Springs, TX 75482.
Arrangements are under the direction of West Oaks Funeral Home.

Jeannie Jones
Jeannie Jones, 93, of Cooper, TX, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
Jeannie was born in Winnamac, IN, on February 13, 1927 to Hugh Baker and Mae Hoesel.
She work for an Attonery service and had a life-long passion for horses and loved her dachshund dog, Hannah.
She is survived by her daughter, Chris Senko and husband, John; grandchildren, Nick Ross, Jeff Ross, Shannon Talboo, Rachel Holmquist, Josh Jones, Ryan Jones, and Carla Jones; great-grandchildren, Sophia Ross, Amelia Ross, and Graham Ross; numerous nieces and nephews; numerous family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents

Jim Lewman
A Memorial service for Jim Lewman, age 68, of Sulphur Springs, will be held at 2:00p.m. Monday, November 9, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel.
Jim Lewman passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Jim Lewman was born December 27, 1951 in Houston, Texas, to Ray Lewman and Margie Carrico.
He was a retired law enforcement officer; was previously chief deputy for Delta County Sheriff Department, and detective for city of Mineola police department.
Also, prior 25 years of law enforcement with Harris County Sheriff Department and Village Police Department.
He was a loving husband to his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lewman; brothers, Jeff Lewman and wife, Kathy and Don Lewman and wife, Jackie; sister-in-law, Laura Lewman; in-laws, Tex Nowlin, Jimmy Nowlin and wife, Carol, Jess Nowln, Janie Kelley and husband, Jimmy, Becky Kennedy and husband, Doug, and Debbie Gillis and husband, John; numerous nieces and nephews; and family and friends.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard Lewman; sister-in-law Mary Ann Farmer; mother-in-law Katie Nowlin; and father-in-law Charlie Nowlin.
In lieu of flowers, donate to Saint Jude Children’s Hospitals or Tunnel to Towers.

Phil Gamblin
Funeral service for Phil Gamblin, age 69, of Como will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at First Baptist Church - Sanctuary, Sulphur Springs.
Interment will follow at Como Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral
Chapel. Mr. Gamblin passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Hospice of East Texas, Tyler.
Phil was born on September 26, 1951 in Sulphur Springs to James Hugh Gamblin and Bennie Lou Nichols.
He married Norma Sue Reed in Martin Springs, Texas on June 8, 1974.
Phil and Norma worked together in the dairy industry for 43 years.
After retiring from the dairy, he enjoyed working at Bell Concrete.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; sons, Philip Gamblin and wife, Angela, Walter Gamblin and wife, Jessica; grandchildren, Clifton Gamblin, Caleigh Gamblin, Cash Gamblin, Sam Gamblin, Bella Gamblin; brother-in-law, Danny Reed; nieces and nephews, Sara Walker and husband, David, Scotty Reed and wife, Darla; great-nephews, Hunter Walker, Haydan Walker, Jackson Reed, Marley Reed.
Phil was preceded in death by his father and brother, Randy Gamblin.
Memorials can be made to Como Cemetery Association.

Glendale Tucker
Funeral service for Glendale Tucker, age 87, of Cumby, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Bob Woodworth and Randy Hicks officiating.
Interment with will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Cumby.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Tucker passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Sulphur Springs Health and Rehab.
Glendale was born on August 19, 1933 in Emblem, TX, to Harley and Eva Lee Tucker.
He married Myra Flo Jetton in 1959 and then, Kathy Speight, both preceded him in death.
Glendale served in the U.S. Navy.
He spent his life as a farmer.
Glendale was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Buff Tucker and wife, Fleta of Cumby; grandchildren, Trevor Greene, Veronica Greene, Russell Weatherford; great-grandchild, Jaxson Greene; sister, Odell Tarpley.
Glendale was preceded in death by his parents; wives; sisters, Hazel Gregor, Fern Hill, Ann Earwood; brothers, H.W. Tucker, Warren Tucker, James Tucker and Cullen Tucker.

Raymond McDonald
Memorial services for Raymond McDonald, 57, of Dike, TX, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Shane Carrington officiating.
A graveside service will follow at Nelta Cemetery with Shane Henderson, Jordon Stanley, Jeremy Coberley, Vance McDonald, Lonnie McDonald, Jason Patton, Shawn Phillips, Casey Phillips, John Erwin, James Parmer, Justin Parmer, Jason Parmer, Chance Knolls, and Randy McKnight serving as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers include Jase Stanley, Jesse Stanley, Karson Coberley, Mason Coberley, Kason Henderson, David McDonald, Henry McDonald, Glen McDonald, Percy Holcomb, Robert Patton, Sanitation Solutions employees and the late Larry McDonald.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Friday, November 6, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel.
Mr. McDonald passed away on November 2, 2020 at Christus Mother Frances Hospital, Sulphur Springs.
Raymond Harold McDonald, Jr. entered this life on June 27, 1963 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
He was born to Harold and Beth McDonald, the baby of six children.
He worked on the family farm and drove trucks for his older brother until he married the love of his life, Margarett McClary McDonald on August 03, 1984.
She moved him to Dike, Texas, where they built a life and family together.
Raymond drove an 18-wheeler for 20 years, before finding he had a special gift for diesel mechanics.
He loved to work and was most recently employed at Waste Connections in Sulphur Springs but invested many hours at Waste Management, Sanitation Solutions, Parmer Truck and Trailer, Suburban Propane.
Raymond loved the Lord and was a member of Southside Church of Christ.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margarett; daughter, Jennifer Stanley and her husband, Jordan of Dike, Texas; daughter, Elizabeth Henderson and her husband, Shane of Detroit, Texas; daughter, Katelyn Coberley and her husband, Jeremy of Dike, Texas; son, Wesley McDonald and special friend, Sierra Calderon of Loving, New Mexico. Seven grandkids, who brought him so much joy; Jase and Jesse Stanley,Karson and Mason Coberley, Kennedy, Kora and Kason Henderson.
He is also survived by three brothers and a sister, David and wife Vicky, Henry and wife, Nancy, Glen and wife, Barbara, and Rob and Brenda Patton all of Loving, New Mexico.
Many cousins, nieces and nephews also survive him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Beth McDonald and brother, Larry.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Laverne Kenney Daniel
Funeral service for Laverne Kenney Daniel, age 89, of Sulphur Springs, TX, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Chapel with Adam Teer officiating.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery with Kim Kenney, Blake Nolen, Eric Bergeron, Clay Daniel, Trent Daniel and Derek Burgess serving as pallbearers and grandchildren and great-grandchildren serving as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home.

Gary L. Griffin
Gary L. Griffin, 79, of Sulphur Springs, TX, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Monday, November 2, 2020.
Gary was born in Minot, ND, on March 24, 1941.
Following high school in Montana, he moved to Dallas, TX, where he met and married his wife of 60 years, Norma Sue (Hooker) Griffin on June 27.
Soon afterwards, Gary joined the U.S. Army and served from 1960-1968.
Following his discharge from the military he started a career with the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller and was able to retire at the early age of 53, and moved to Sulphur Springs, TX, in 2007.
He enjoyed spending his time on several hobbies throughout the years.
Gary was an artist, he enjoyed making jewelry, he was a woodworker and an accomplished wood carver.
He greatly enjoyed the outdoors; camping and traveling, wildlife photography, hunting and shooting.
Gary is survived by his wife Norma Sue Griffin, daughter, Tressa Granrud and her husband, Jeff of Becker, MN, his daughter, Christine (Tina) Griffin and her husband, Tim Wasylow of Watertown, SD, his eight grandchildren: Chase Griffin, Nicole Spearman, Chandee Hammig, Cougar Griffin, Cody Maki, Jasmine Maki, Courtney Wasylow, Chantz Wasylow; along with six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mabel and Frank Eller, his brothers, Jim and Glen Griffin, his 3 step-sisters and his only son, Danny Joe Griffin.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
