NEDERLAND - Services for Maurice Smith, 63, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Nederland with the Rev. Bobby Dagnel officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard's Mortuary.
He died Monday, October 2, 2000, at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.

Cao So Vuong
ORANGE - Services for Cao So Vuong, 38, of will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
He died in a boating accident in New Orleans, La.
Majorie Lee Ashworth
NEDERLAND - Majorie Lee Ashworth, 70, of Nederland died Saturday, September 23, 2000, at her home.
Arrangements are pending with Broussard's Mortuary in Nederland.
David M. Carpenter
NEDERLAND - David M. Carpenter, 82, of Nederland died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Mid-Jefferson Hospital.
A native of Conway, Miss., he lived in the Nederland area for 50 years. He was retired from Sun Oil Company in Nederland with 38 years of service in the oil terminal department. He was a World War II United States Army veteran and a member of the Nederland American Legion. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Father William Brooks Council 5145 in Nederland.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with the Rev. Dan Malain officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at the mortuary.
Survivors include his wife Katalin; two daughters, Amaya D' Amore of Kent, Wash., Anity Tofte of Humble; a son, David Carpenter of Alamo, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

Henry L. 'Paw Paw' Comeaux
NEDERLAND - Services for Henry L. "Paw Paw" Comeaux, 67, of Nederland will be at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Charles Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. and visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
He died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2000, at Mid-Jefferson Hospital.

She died Wednesday, September 20, 2000, at her home.
Col. Amin George Jr.
Col. Amin George Jr. USAF, 77, of Port Arthur died Thursday, September 21, 2000, in San Antonio.
George was a veteran for 30 years, three wars and over 200 combat missions as a fighter pilot.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. George Maronite Catholic Church in San Antonio. Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
Survivors include his wife, Terry; two daughters, Jennifer George, Allyson Patterson both of San Antonio; two sons, Brendan George of San Antonio, Jonathan George of Houston; a step-daughter, Jessica George of San Antonio; four sisters, Jeanette Koontz, Georgette Dumesnil, Juliet George all of Port Arthur, Elizabeth Cuellar of Dallas; and six grandchildren.
