Ruby Hammond
LOVELADY - Ruby Hammond, 89, of Lovelady died Saturday, September 23, 2000, at Huntsville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Port Arthur, she lived in Lovelady for the past 33 years. She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Callaway Allec Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Steve Hammond and the Rev. Dave Fritz officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include her son, Thomas L. Hammond Sr. of Vidor; two daughters, Ollie Bradberry of Lovelady, Dolly Ballard of Lovelady; three sisters, Estelle Barthette of Vidor, Vivian Haezebrouch of Michigan, Wanda Martin of Trinity; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Eunice LeBlanc
GROVES - Eunice LeBlanc, 99, of Groves died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at her home.
A native of Loreauville, La., she lived in Port Arthur for 81 years working as a homemaker.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church with the Rev. Don Golansinski officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Visitation is from 12 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Mabel Hollier of Groves.
Eddie Lee Miller
PORT NECHES - Eddie Lee Miller, 84, of Nederland died Friday, Sept. 22, 2000, at Mid-Jefferson Hospital.
A native of Carthage, he lived in the Port Neches area for over 78 years. He was retired from Texaco. He was a member of the mason group.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Pat A. Riley Funeral Home in Nederland. Burial will follow at Turner Cemetery in Elizabeth, La. Visitation was Saturday.
Survivors include his son, Bobby Miller of Richmond; four grandchildren, Ron Harvey of Port Neches, Rayna Headrick of Pasedena, Michelle Rawson, Zachary Miller of Fairchilds; and six great-grandchildren.
Ella Mae Minner
Ella Mae Minner, 80, of Port Arthur died Saturday, September 23, 2000, Mid Jefferson Hospital.
A lifelong resident of Port Arthur where she worked as a book keeper at Fournet's Men Wear. She was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church amd a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grammier Oberle Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Monday with visitation following until 7 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, James; and her daughter, Sue Ellan Minner of Port Arthur.
Alcide Pellerin Jr.
GROVES - Alcide Pellerin Jr., 57, of Groves died Saturday, September 23, 2000, at Park Place Medical Center.
A native of Nederland, he lived in the Golden Triangle for 57 years. He was a retired carpenter with the Carpenter Local 502. He was a United States Navy veteran.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peter's Catholic Church with the Rev. Kenneth Greig officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A wake will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Delores; two daughters, Terry L. Ernst of Lake Charles, La., Chris of Groves; and two sons, Donald W. Pellerin of Groves, Willie Ray Pellerin of Nederland.

NEDERLAND - John H. Smith, 89, of Nederland died Saturday, September 23, 2000, at his home.

Carl E. White
LUMBERTON - Carl E. White, 65, of Lumberton died Friday, September 22, 2000, in Lumberton.
A native of Port Arthur, he lived in Lumberton for 1 years after moving from Nederland. He was a former owner of Whites Cash Register Sales, the Tonga Club, C W Saloon, and Triangle Pawn.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Carroll-Wallace Funeral Home in Beaumont. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Velma Lee; four sons, Dave Edward White, Johnny Joe White, Danny Ray White, Carl Robert "Bob" White all of Lumberton; a daughter, Julie Ann White of Lumberton; a sister, Lillian Ruth Young of Nederland; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.
Clara Etta 'Cla' Bell
Services for Clara Etta "Cla" Bell, 49, of Port Arthur will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Christian Faith Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.R. Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

PORT NECHES - Anita Barron, 79, of Port Neches died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at the Park Central Nursing Home.
A native of Orange, she was a homemaker.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
