D'Jara "Dino" Jones, 37, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2003, at Twelve Oaks Hospital in Houston.

Joyce K. Loyd, 78, of Port Acres died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
A native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur, she was a homemaker and member of St. John's United Methodist Church in Port Acres.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John's United Methodist Church in Port Acres with the Rev. Kitty Key officiating under the direction of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her son, Talbert Loyd Jr. of Conroe; three daughters, Patricia Compton of Austin, Trudy Goza of Mauriceville and Judy Presley of Buna; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Chester A. Moody
GROVES - Services for Chester A. Moody, 92, of Groves will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with the Rev. David Echols officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
He died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Christus St. Mary Hospital.
Gilbert Lane 'Gil' Sorrells
KINGWOOD - Gilbert Lane "Gils" Sorrells, 73, of Kingwood died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at his home.
A native of San Antonio, he lived in the Port Arthur area for 10 years and in Kingwood for the past 17 years. He was a retired engineer for Houston Air-Conditioning and Heating for more than 50 years. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Port Arthur with the Rev. Joseph Romero officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with the Rosary at 7 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Sorrells; two daughters, Mary Poole of Lumberton and Rebecca Richardson of the Woodlands; two sons, John Weber of Groves and Richard Sorrells of Pittsburgh, Penn.; one brother, Donald Sorrells of San Antonio; two sisters, Bernice Breiden of Houma, La., and Louise Evans of Bandera; and five grandchildren.
Charles 'Benny' Terrell
NEDERLAND - Charles "Benny" Terrell, 74, of Nederland died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at Parkplace Medical Center.
A native of Groves, he lived in the Groves and Nederland area all of his life and was a retired operator for Gulf Oil Co. in Port Arthur. He was also a navy veteran and member of the American Legion in Port Neches.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pat A. Riley Funeral Home in Nederland. Burial will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his two daughters, Vickie Fournet of Mauriceville and Stephanie Fultz of Dayton; five sons, Charles Terrell Jr. of Nederland, Jesse Terrell of Little Rock, Ark., J.D. Terrell of Longview, Texas and Buck Terrell of Kirbyville; one sister, Laura Mae Terrell of Town Bluff; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Willie Mae Tezeno
Willie Mae Tezeno, 75, of Port Arthur died Friday, Feb. 14, 2003, at Parkplace Medical Center.

Paul 'Fatty' Mack Allen Jr.
Paul "Fatty" Mack Mallen Jr., 54, of Port Arthur died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002.
A native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur, he attended Lincoln High School.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Allen officiating. Burial will be at Live Oak Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at at the church.
Survivors include his mother, Rose Allen of Port Arthur; one daughter, Paulette Allen of Port Arthur; three brothers, Larry Oderbert, Roy Allen and Henry Allen, all of Port Arthur; two sisters, Rose Marie Allen and Francis Burnistine of Moreno Valley, Calif.; one grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He died Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, at Doctors Hospital.
