David Sanchez DeLaRosa
GROVES - David Sanchez DeLaRosa, 59, of Groves, Texas passed away August 14, 2007. He was born in Allende, Mexico on April 27, 1948 to Agustin and Aurora Sanchez DeLaRosa. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a superintendent for the railroad. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen Solorzano DeLaRosa of Groves; his parents, Agustin and Aurora DeLaRosa of Port Arthur; 2 sons, David DeLaRosa, Jr. of Port Neches and Gabriel DeLaRosa of Clear Lake; daughter, Veronica Melindez of Clear Lake; 6 grandchildren; 6 brothers and 6 sisters.
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Andrea DeLaRosa and sister, Sylvia DeLaRosa. Visitation will be Thursday, August 16th from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland. Services will be Friday, August 17th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Port Arthur, Father Blanco officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

Ruth Boyd Brown
Memorial services for Ruth Anice Boyd Brown, 89, of Tyler (formerly of Nederland) will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Nederland. The Rev. Kevin Otto and The Rev. W.C. Hall will officiate.
Mrs. Brown was born on December 13, 1917 to the Rev. James Cleveland and Isla Mae Splawn Boyd in Mercedes, Texas, and she passed away on August 12, 2007 at Hospice HomePlace in Tyler.
Ruth was a teacher, graduating from Texas Women's University. She taught in several schools in southeast Texas, worked in the lab at Pure Oil Refinery during WWII., and later worked for Meco Security in Nederland. Ruth was also a homemaker, a volunteer in the Nederland Independent School District and a Pink Lady at Mid-Jefferson County Hospital. She was a long time member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Nederland where she was a member of United Methodist Women, member of the choir and an honorary member of the Administrative Board. Due to her many hours of volunteer work and service to the community, June 19, 2005 was declared "Ruth Brown Day" by the City of Nederland.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice L. Brown.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; Jim and Mary Brown of Jacksonville, daughter and son-in- law, Mary Madelyn B. and Hector Medina of Miami, Florida; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by two sisters, Isla Lucile Boyd of Tyler and Elizabeth Carr of Centennial, Colorado, along with several nieces and nephews.

Moses B. Gaskill Jr.
Kinston, NC - Moses B Gaskill Jr. 80 of 614 Girl Scout Rd. passed away Friday August 10, 2007. The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM Friday August 17, 2007 at Hull Road FWB Church. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston. Mr. Gaskill was born in Beaufort, NC. on July 31, 1927 to the late Moses and Lottie M Gaskill. He was a faithful member of Jericho AME Zion Church, under the leadership of Pastor Arnold Coley. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary L. Gaskill, a son Michael D. Gaskill and a sister Rozenna Vann.
Mr. Gaskill will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle who enjoyed helping the elderly widows. He will be cherished and missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his daughters Vivian Agnew (Raymond) of Sacramento, CA; Marta Simmons (Cleveland), Marla Gardner (Ervin), Mallorie Bright (John) and Marcy L Rouse (Douglas) all of Kinston. Foster daughters Linda Jones, Joyce White, Terease Hodges and Iris Jacobs, all of Kinston. A son, Anthony L. Gaskill (Minnie) of Houston, TX. A sister Ida Smothers and his brother Mikel A. Gaskill of Port Arthur, TX. A sister-in-law Madeline Tyson of Kinston; 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at Mills Funeral Home, Inc.1300 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Kinston, NC, Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The family will receive friends at the home of Cleveland and Marta Simmons, 605 Girl Scout Rd. Kinston NC. Final Masonic rites will be performed at the grave site.
Sylvia Sue Concienne
NEDERLAND - Sylvia Sue Concienne, 65, of Nederland, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at her residence in Beauxart Gardens.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 18, 2007 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with Reverend Dan Malain officiating. Rite of Committal will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Broussard's in Nederland. A gathering of the family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday in the mortuary. Mrs. Concienne was born in Houston and has lived all of her life in the Golden Triangle area. She worked as a food service manager for N.I.S.D. for 26 years, and was an active member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland.
She is survived by her Lynn Concienne of Nederland, children, Kurt Concienne and his wife Sherill of Humble, Troy Concienne and his wife Shelley of Flower Mound, Shanna Blair and her husband Brett of Keller, Rodney Concienne and his wife Linda of Georgetown, Wesley Concienne and his wife Brandi of Flower Mound, grandchildren, Brooke, Cole, Taylor, Trey, Erica, Shane, Max, Garret, Reid, Lauren, Logan, Brianna and Landon, eight sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
SSGT Kenneth B. "Kenny" Molbert
SSGT Kenneth B. Molbert, US Army (Ret.) entered into rest July 25, 2007 in Lee County, Florida at the age of 47. He was born January 11, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Joycie Jane (Breaux) Molbert and Hues- ville Molbert. Kenneth served in the Army for 20 years and received a Bronze Star while serving in the Persian Gulf War. He worked for Schneider Natl. Trucking Co. for 7 years and recently became a Master Driver.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patricia Molbert; father, Huesville Molbert; step-mother, Jean; sons, Patrick and Kenneth Molbert, Jr.; step-daughters, Tricia Olderich, Desiree Parker Cepeda; grandchildren, Ryan Stone, Tyler Olderich, Jacob Cepeda; brother, David Molbert; and sister, Diana Molbert; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2nd with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Scripture service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 3rd at Sunset Funeral Home with the committal service to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
Tammie Jean Pitre
GROVES - Tammie Jean Pitre, 28, of Groves, Texas died Monday, July 30, 2007. Tammie was born on January 24, 1979 in Nederland, Texas to Jeff "Pete" Sanders and Vonnie Fulton Sanders. She was a lifelong area resident and homemaker.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Michael Pitre of Groves; parents, Pete and Vonnie Sanders of Groves; daughter, Vonnie Pitre of Groves; son, Zachary Pitre of Groves; brother, Michael Sanders of Nederland; mother-in-law, Mary Pitre of Port Neches; grandmother, Sadie Budwine; uncles, Billy Sanders, Kevin Sanders, Michael Fulton and Brian Fulton; aunt, Diane Sanders, brother-in-law, Joey Pitre; and sister-in-law, Tricia Pitre.

Rory Rashard Parker
PORT ARTHUR - Rory Rashard Parker, 18, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2008. He was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and attended Travis Elementary, Edison Middle School, Memorial Ninth Grade Center. Rory was a senior at Memorial High School and a member of the New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Rock Island Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Troy Hopkins. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery.
He leaves to join his mother, Zaneta Comeaux; grandfather, Jerry Comeaux and great-grandfathers, R.B. Jones and Daniel Prevost. He is survived by his father, Rory Parker; brother, Dory Parker; and sisters, Chasity Comeaux and Tashira Parker all of Port Arthur; grandmothers, Gladys Chaney of Port Arthur and Judy Comeaux of Houston; grandfather, James Parker and special grandfather, Jerry "PaPa" Chaney both of Port Arthur; great-grandmothers, Rosa Provost of Houston, Halretha Jones of Port Arthur and Mildred Hunt of Lufkin; aunts, Michelle Thibodeaux of Beaumont and Corliss Comeaux of Waxahachie; nephews, Issac Trice and Kaleb Moore both of Port Arthur and a host of family, close friends, and classmates.
Rory will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Now, we can be assured that he is resting on the other side with the Father in Heaven.
