Lillian Lloyd

BUNA - Lillian Lloyd, 77, of Buna, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2006 at Magnolia Manor in Groves. A native and longtime resident of Port Arthur, Lillian has been living in Buna for the last fourteen years. She worked as a supervisor of a janitorial company that was under contract at DuPont in Orange. She was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church in Port Arthur.
Visitation will be on Thursday, July 20, 2006, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home with graveside services at 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Clayton Thompson. Lillian was preceded in death by her first husband, Corris Johnson and her second husband, Jerry Lloyd and her parents, Talmadge and Hattie Hargett. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Neal and her husband, David of Houston, Texas; her granddaughter, Jennifer Long and her husband, Kenneth of Friendswood, Texas; her two great-granddaughters, Reagan Nicole Long and Berkeley Christine Long; her sister, Margaret Becker of Bridge City, Texas; her three brothers, John Hargett of California, Bobby Hargett of Groves and Larry Hargett of Lake Charles, Louisiana along with several nieces and nephews and close friend, Larry Travis of Stark, Louisiana.

Nora Wiggins Todd

BEAUMONT - Nora Wiggins Todd, 82, passed away Tuesday July 18, 2006 after a short illness. Nora was born November 24, 1923 in Center, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Todd, and was a retiree of Texas US Chemical.
She is survived by her two daughters; Janet Phelan and Vickie Brown of Beaumont. With her strength and joy she imparted her wisdom upon her greatest pride in life, her Grandchildren; Clint and Clay West, Carly DuBois, John, Todd, Kyle, Christy, and Carrie Phelan, and her 11 great-grandchildren. With her loving grace and tender heart she will forever be remembered as our mentor. Through her encouragement, we were taught how to carry ourselves with integrity, faith, and grace. We will forever be grateful to the Lord for blessing us with our red-headed angel.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at Pat A. Riley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 20, 2006 at 10:00a.m. in the Chapel of Pat A. Riley Funeral Home in Nederland with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.

Betty Marie Elliott

HILLSTER - Betty Marie Lichenstein Job Elliott, 76, of Hillister, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be Sunday, July 30th at 2:00 p.m. at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29th at the funeral home.
Betty was born on November 10, 1930 to Louis & Ida Lichenstein in Houston, Texas. She was the eldest child and helped raise her five younger brothers after the passing of her father at the tender age of eleven. She lived a full life and was retired from Keller Industries where she worked 20 plus years as an outside sales representative. Affectionately known to many as "Gaga", Betty had been very active in the American Business Women's Association, having formally served as president of the Wisteria Chapter. During their youth, Betty served as Den Mother/ Scout Leader for her four sons, and was a member of Woodville United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed bowling, fishing and loved playing poker in her spare time. Even in the end, she showed her tenacity and wit.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Elliott; parents; stepfather, Leland Stanford; brothers, Louis and Dickie Lichenstein; granddaughter, Stacy Job; and grandson, Thomas Job. She is survived by her four sons and their wives, Eddie & Brenda L. Job of Houston, Sam & Brenda G. Job of Sam Rayburn, Billy & Cheri Job of Groves and Jimmy & Cindy Job of Alvin. Her grandchildren include Deanna & Chris Tubb, Michael Job, Trey & Joy Job, Jamey Job, Bobby Job, Cherie Job, Jennifer & Joshua Seale, Ashley Job, Andrew Cooper, Micala Cooper, and six great-grandchildren. Surviving siblings include her brothers, Bill Lichenstein of Houma, LA, Donald Lichenstein of Grand Isle, LA and Bobby Lichenstein of Bourg, LA, and a sister Dorothy Vice, also of Houma, LA.
Memorials may be made to Lakes Area Hospice, P.O. Box 2086, Jasper, Texas 75951 or Woodville Business & Professional Women's Club, Rt. 4 Box 255-M, Colmesneil, Texas 75938.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Woodville.

Louis C. Stephens

PORT NECHES - Louis C. Stephens, 68, of Port Neches, Texas died Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Dubuis Hospital in Port Arthur.
Louis was born on January 6, 1938 in Port Arthur, Texas to Charles Stephens and Myrtle Landry Stephens. He was raised in Pear Ridge and resided in Groves for many years before moving to Port Neches 1982. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 23 years of service and also worked 10 years for Malloys Cash Register. He was very active in youth sports and set up youth sports programs through the U.S. Air Force.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Stephens of Port Neches, Texas; daughters, Deanna Stephens of San Antonio, Texas and Darlene Cooper of Houston, Texas; sons, Louis Stephens, Jr. of Flint, Texas and Lance Stephens of Houston, Texas; sisters, JoAnn Tolleson of Baytown, Texas and Janie Trahan of Groves, Texas; brothers, Charles Stephens, Jr. of Spring Branch, Texas and Bunkie Stephens of Port Arthur, Texas; grandchildren, Trey Barker, Nicole Barker, Tyler Stephens and Lucas Stephens.

Dorothy O'Dell Nelson

VIDOR - Dorothy O'Dell Nelson, 92, of Vidor passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2006 in San Marcos, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2006 in the Charles S. Kelley Memorial Chapel at Claybar Kelley - Watkins Funeral Home with Elder Bob Stump of Groves Community Seventh Day Adventist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
Her family will receive guests from 4 - 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Nelson was born November 18, 1913 in Longview, Texas to the late Leo and Jenny (Whynot) Holden and retired as a telephone operator from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Mrs. Nelson was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who found her greatest joy in her love of family and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frances "Shiek" Nelson, daughter, Carolyn Stewart and eight brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons and daughters-in-law, Rudy and Linda Nelson of Vidor, Jerry and Patti Nelson of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, O'Dell Nelson of Vidor, Steve Nelson and wife Cherub of Wimberley, TX, Melissa Nelson-Boaz and husband Andy of Bastrop, Seth Nelson of Butner, NC, Jerry Nelson, Jr. and wife Beverly of Winnie, Vic Nelson and wife Katha and Sylvia Andel both of Beaumont, Gene Stewart and wife Kathy of Houston, Kevin Stewart, Donald Stewart, Kyle Stewart all of Georgia and Emily Simon and husband Guy of Beaumont; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Velma Taylor and husband Jack of Ivanhoe and brother Jody Holden and wife Anita of Warren.

Mr. Roy Satcher

PORT NECHES - Roy Satcher, 83, of Port Neches, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2006. He was a resident of the Port Neches area for 52 years. He served in the United States Navy and is a WWII veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.A. (Jake) Satcher and Dolly Hardy Satcher; brother, Reginald (Buddy) Satcher; and sister, Willie Satcher.
He is survived by his wife, Eddith Faye Satcher; his children, Dale Satcher and wife, Nelene and Michael Satcher and wife, Jennifer; his grandchildren, David Satcher and wife, Alicia and Tim Satcher and wife, Shelly; great-grandchildren, Sidney Satcher, McKenzie Satcher, and Alina Satcher; his sister, Miriam Richardson, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends; and a special part of his family, Addison Viola and her parents, Curtis and Nikki Viola.
Services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Fry- Gibbs Funeral Chapel in Paris, Texas. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Gardens Cemetery.

SSGT Kenneth B. "Kenny" Molbert

SSGT Kenneth B. Molbert, US Army (Ret.) entered into rest July 25, 2007 in Lee County, Florida at the age of 47. He was born January 11, 1960 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Joycie Jane (Breaux) Molbert and Huesville Molbert. Kenneth served in the Army for 20 years and received a Bronze Star while serving in the Persian Gulf War. He worked for Schneider Natl. Trucking Co. for 7 years and recently became a Master Driver.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patricia Molbert; father, Huesville Molbert; step-mother, Jean; sons, Patrick and Kenneth Molbert, Jr.; step-daughters, Tricia Olderich, Desiree Parker Cepeda; grandchildren, Ryan Stone, Tyler Olderich, Jacob Cepeda; brother, David Molbert; and sister, Diana Molbert; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2nd with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Scripture service will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, August 3rd at Sunset Funeral Home with the committal service to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
