Wilfred "W.D." Thompson Sr.
Wilfred "W.D." Thompson, Sr., of Port Arthur, TX died Monday, October 22, 2007 at his residence.
A native of Weeks Island, Louisiana, he was a resident of Port Arthur for over 50 years, and was employed by Texaco Refinery for 41 years. He retired from the Army Reserves after 38 years of service. He was a member of the Astronauts Social and Civic Club for many years during which time he held several Executive positions. W.D. was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Port Arthur. A visitation is scheduled from 10a.m. until 11a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 3617 Gulfway Drive, Port Arthur. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11a.m. with the Father J.C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery under the direction of Gabriel Funeral Home. W.D. is survived by his wife of 52 years, Burnadine Thompson, sons; Wilfred Thompson, Jr. of Columbia, Maryland, Reginald Thompson (Barbara) of Baytown, Texas, Michael Thompson of Port Arthur, Texas, daughters; Phyllis Smith (Sidney) of Port Arthur, Texas, Stephanie Beckford (Raymond) of Houston, Texas, brother; William Thompson Jr. of Lydia, Louisiana, brother-in-law, Carl Dwyer (Roxana) of Spanaway, Washington; sister-in-law, Burnadette Smith of San Francisco, California; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a host of niece, nephews and devoted friends.
Raymond Joseph Reeves
Kirbyville - Raymond Joseph Reeves, 77, of Kirbyville, Texas died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Silsbee Oaks Healthcare.
Raymond was born March 5, 1930 in Port Arthur, Texas and was a lifelong area resident until moving to Kirbyville 20 years ago. He retired from Gulf Oil in 1986 as an electrician and was a member of IBEW. He also worked for Levingston Funeral Home as a licensed funeral director until his retirement. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2007 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Pastor Danny Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery in Buna, Texas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Oma Reeves; brothers, Harold Reeves and Delbert Reeves; sisters, Faye Wright and Johnnie Mae Akin; and grandson, Kael Reeves.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gertrude Reeves of Kirbyville; daughter, Cynthia del Valle and husband, Frank of Frisco; sons, Michael Reeves and wife, Cyndy of Kirbyville, Kenneth Reeves and wife, Debbie of Groves, Patrick Reeves and wife, Pamela of Groves, Harold Reeves of San Antonio; sister, Gertrude Lawrence of Port Neches; brothers, Jimmy Reeves of Beaumont, Charles Reeves of Colorado; ten grandchildren and fourteen great- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brian Reeves, Brandon Reeves, Brett Reeves, Michael Reeves, Josh Reeves and David Boughan. Delores Ann Fischer
Delores Ann (Wells) Fischer, 61, of Houston departed this life Tuesday, October 23, 2007, at a Baytown hospital following a brief illness. Born on December 19, 1945, in Port Arthur, Texas, she was one of three daughters born to Wade and Edith Paton Wells. A 1963 graduate of Port Arthur-Thomas Jefferson High School, Delores worked for over 20 years in the business office of the San Jacinto College system. On March 4, 1967, she marriage the love of her life, Hilton Henry Fischer. Delores was a regular volunteer at St. Pius V Catholic School in Pasadena, where her granddaughter attended, and was known to all as "Nana."
Preceded in death by her parents and son, Sterling Fischer, she is survived by her husband, Hank Fischer of Houston; son, Shawn Fischer of Baytown, daughter, Crystal Fischer and granddaughter, JaLynn Michelle Sanchez, both of Houston; sisters, Kathy Young and Wanda Wells, both of Port Neches.
Family will receive friends at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home, 6123 Garth Road, Baytown, Friday, from 5 to 8 p.m. with rosary recited at 7 p.m. Service of remembrance will be Saturday, October 27, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Crespo & Jirrels. Interment will follow at White Cemetery, Highlands. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Kevin Wells, Gary Young, Colin Cobb, Trent Cobb, Charlie Easter, and Rick Canales. Charlcie Jeffie Johnson Glenn
PORT ARTHUR - Charlcie Jeffie Johnson Glenn of Port Arthur, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at her home. She was born in Clarksville, Arkansas to Melissa and Charles W. Johnson. She lived in Port Arthur for most of her life. Charlcie retired from Gulf Oil after 25 years of service in the Lab. She was a member of Stonegate Church of Christ. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Service will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 26, 2007 in Faith Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Steve Dewhirst, officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude H. Glenn, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudine Decker and her husband, Marvin of Nederland, Texas; her grandchildren, James Threadgill and his wife, Terri and Chris Threadgill, great-grandson, Wesley Threadgill and his wife, Kristen and one great-great-grandson, Corey Threadgill along with her brother, C. W. Johnson of Houston, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lelia Taylor Boudreaux
PORT NECHES - Lelia Taylor Boudreaux, 80, of Port Neches, Texas died Monday, October 22, 2007 in Port Arthur, Texas.
Lelia was born October 10, 1927 in Arnaudville, Louisiana to Louis Taylor and Ida Guidroz Taylor. She was a resident of this area for 62 years and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Rev. Bennie Patillo officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A vigil service will begin at 5:30 p.m. with visitation to follow Friday, October 26, 2007 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Boudreaux. She is survived by her daughters, Debi Yu and husband, Myong of Port Arthur, Texas, Lynn Hollier and husband, Kurt of Hillister, Texas; sons, Pat Boudreaux and wife, Kathy of Port Neches, Texas, Mike Boudreaux and wife, Karin of Nederland, Texas; sisters, Versey Briley and husband, Hubert of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Birdie Stelly of Lafayette, Louisiana; grandchildren, Crystal Segura, Desha Jordan, Richie Hernandez, Rochelle Hernandez, Rachel Fain, Nina Faulk, Shaun Boudreaux, Dustin Yu, Derek Yu, Tanner Hollier, Ashley Hollier, Stefanie Boudreaux, Taylor Hollier, great-grandchildren, Kyler, Konnor, Miranda, Payton, Kody, T.J., Brooke, and Haden.
Abram Tremont Ford
Many are called, but few are chosen. God called His Angels together to choose a gift for Abram and Diana Ford. On May 8, 1979, God chose our Brown Baby Boy. Beautiful long eyelashes, perfectly arched eyebrows with big dreamy eyes. "Our Boy" was born Abram Tremont Ford. He was chosen to fill the lives of his parents Abram and Diana Ford. He was a member of Word of God Teaching Center L.M. Green, Pastor. He was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Tom Gillam, Sr. at the Church of Jesus Christ along with his brother Kary Lamont Vincent. He attended Abraham Lincoln High School Class of 1997, and completed barber college at Majestic Barber Academy in Beaumont, TX. Tremont was a easy-going, fun-loving, family oriented and God fearing father, son and brother, that was tragically taken from us.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfred and Doris Ford and great-grandmother Lovenia Davis. Also special cousin VaShala LaFleur.
God opened the door for bountiful blessings to fall from heaven through his beautiful daughters; Ash'lyn Tremon and Aaryn Devon of Port Arthur, Amaury Monique of Shrevport, La. and Amisti also of Port Arthur, God gave Tremont daughters to supply the kingdom with more seeds and servants. Also, to carry on his memories are, his brother; Kary Lamont Vincent (Angela), sisters, Trena Loren Arceneaux (Eric) and Veronica Ford Lewis all of Port Arthur.
Abram was also blessed to have the support of spiritual God-parents Spencer and Enola Dorsey of Port Arthur. Aunts and Uncles; Jacqueline Thomas Guillory (Tim), Shelly Harmon (Leroy), Mabel Seals (Roy Lee), Olivia VanRight (Stafford), Diane McGee (Glen), Dorothy Salsberry and Ollie Ford of Lemoyen, La. Eugene James Harmon (Odessa), James Edward Ford. Nieces and nephews; Jehona Kai and Kala Helyn, Kameron Trekary, Kary Jr., Kyler Keshawn and Meshawn Vincent. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 9a.m. to 11:00a.m. with services immediately following at New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in the Redeemer Mausoleum.

Yola Francise Barriere
Yola Francise Barriere, 50, of Austin, Texas was born in Lafayette, LA and was a long-time resident of Port Arthur, TX. She was called home to glory to be with the Lord on Friday, October 19, 2007 while at home with her family.
She was preceded in death by one son, Sammy Barriere; her step-fathers, Samuel Graham; her grandmother, Yola Roy; and grandson, Tabias Barriere.
