Brandi Jo Thibodeaux

PORT ACRES - Brandi Jo Thibodeaux, 23, of Port Acres, Texas died Friday, January 25, 2008.
Brandi was born February l0, 1984 in Port Arthur, Texas to Shelly Rene Paul and Ronnie James Thibodeaux. She was raised by her grandparents, Billy and Nancy Paul and was a lifelong area resident.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February l, 2008 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Pastor David Brett officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5:00p.m. - 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Paul and grandfather, Joe Thibodeaux. Survivors include her mother, Shelly Paul; father, Ronnie James Thibodeaux; sisters, Danielle Gabbard and Candice Paul of Port Neches; brother, Sammy Paul of Nederland; grandfather, Billy Paul of Nederland; grandmother, Dioris Thibodeaux of Port Acres; and many friends and relatives.
Friends wishing may make contributions for her funeral expenses.

David James Norris

PORT NECHES - David James Norris, 50 of Port Neches, died January 28, 2008.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 1, 2008 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s in Nederland, with the Reverend Joe Don Raiborn officiating. A gathering of the family and friends will be from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday at the mortuary.
David was born in Nederland, Texas and graduated from Nederland High School. He was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church in Nederland. He is survived by his mother and step father; Betty and James LeBlue of Port Neches, three brothers; Richard Norris of LaBelle, Texas, Brian Norris of Richmond, Texas, Darwin Norris of Vidor, Texas, aunt and uncle; Yvonne and Jerry Nicholson of Nederland, Texas and a host of family and friends.

Ida Mae Collins

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Ida Mae Collins went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 28, 2008, in Bridge City, TX.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 1, 2008, at Circle Drive Baptist Church, Bridge City, TX. Reverends Barry Murchison, W. P. Murchison and Jack Comer will officiate. Interment and graveside services will be at the Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston, TX, at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Circle Drive Baptist Church. Ida Mae was born November 5, 1912, in Thicket, TX, the daughter of James Alverd and Alice Ida Noorman. She was reared in Votaw, TX, and graduated from Votaw High School, valedictorian of her class, she attended college in Beeville, TX.
She met and married her dearly loved husband of 69 years, Watson Harrison Collins on March 12, 1938, in Romayor, TX. They lived most of their married life in Rye, TX, until 1994 when she and Watson moved to Bridge City to be near their children.
Ida Mae loved reading her Bible and studying God’s word in preparation for teaching or writing church programs. She loved singing hymns and enjoyed her time spent doing God’s work, brightening each corner of the world she touched. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and making quilts for her family.
Ida Mae took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always took time to have conversation with each one to see what they were doing in their life. Her greatest joy was that each of her family members know the Lord, serves Him and call Him Savior.
She is survived by her husband, Watson Harrison Collins of Bridge City, five children; Kenneth & Delores Kennedy of Dallas, TX, Ellen & Bill Nickum, Betty Jean Starkey, Harold and Teresa Collins all of Bridge City, TX, and Carolyn Jowell of Houston, TX. Ten grandchildren; Angela Haynes, Alyson Smith, John Nickum, Patrick Starkey, Crystal Starkey, Jeffrey Collins, Chris Collins, Don Harp, Melissa Sattler and Carolyn Jowell. Three step-grandchildren; Judd and Robert Smith and Ellick McCann of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by twenty great-grandchildren; Caleb, Catelynn and Cameron Haynes, Kelsey, Kollin and Kaylea Smith, Coleman, Nate and Abigail Nickum, Mason and Isabel Starkey, Tyler, Jacob, Chloe and Brady Collins, Nolan and Nathan Harp, Makeala and Makenzie Sattler and Cailyn Elmore. Serving as pallbearers will be John Nickum, Patrick Starkey, Jeffrey Collins, Chris Collins, Don Harp, Kevin Smith, Cliff Haynes and Tony Sattler.

Louis Anniboli, Jr.

SPRING - Louis Anniboli Jr., of Spring, Texas, age 53, passed away June 10, 2007, following a motorcycle accident. Louis was born on January 30, 1954 in Port Arthur, Texas to Louis and Yvette Anniboli. Louis was a loving husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, and friend. Louis was a 1972 graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, Texas. Louis was in the tool business for the past 25 years. He has worked for MATCO Tools for the past 18 years, where he was a District Manager.
He is survived by the love of his life for 29 years, his wife, Cindy Koller Anniboli, his son and fishing and hunting buddy Shane Anniboli, his daughter Kara Anniboli who is the angel in his heart, his daughter in-law Wendy Anniboli, and the newest love in his life his granddaughter Kingsley Koller Anniboli.
He is preceded in death by his father Louis Anniboli Sr.
He is survived by his mother Yvette Anniboli of Nederland, Texas, his brother Emile Anniboli of Austin, Texas, his sister Mary Ann Anniboli of Nederland, Texas, his sister Kathleen Jones of Groves, Texas, his sister Susan Stein Lopez of Nederland, Texas, his sister Renee Montalvo of Groves, Texas, his mother-in-law Norma Koller of Nederland, Texas, and many brother in-laws, sister in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Louis was a loving and caring man who leaves a legacy of selfless compassion, boundless enthusiasm for life especially for the outdoors, and loving devotion with his family and friends. For this, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 13 from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday at Klein Funeral Home on Champion Forest Drive, Klein, Texas. Memorial Services will be Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 10AM Thursday at the Klein Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Stu Grant officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Bikers Against Child Abuse in memory of Big Lou at Texas Community Bank, Account # 1109156, 16610 Interstate 45, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.

Robert O. "Bob" Boissey

BEAUMONT - Robert O. "Bob" Boissey, 80, of Beaumont, Texas died Monday, June 11, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital.
Bob was born on October 3, 1926 in Malone, New York to Oliver Boissey and Stella Coburn Boissey. He had lived in Groves for 60 years and was a longtime area resident. He was a truck driver for many years, working for Coca-Cola, Sunbeam Bakery and DSI Transport from which he retired. He belonged to Good Sam and several RV Clubs. He enjoyed traveling the country with his wife, Jim Marie. He was also a U.S. Army World War II veteran.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 14, 2007 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Alan Van Hooser officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jim Marie Boissey. Survivors include his daughters, Carol Dore’ and husband, Perry of Groves, Texas, Tina Comeaux and husband, Charles of Beaumont, Texas; sisters, Shirley Casey and Barbara Lawrence both of Malone, New York; grandchildren, Candice Comeaux of New York City and Christy Casey of Boston, Massachusetts.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff and new friends at Atria Collier Park.

Mathilda Huffstetler

GROVES - Mathilda "Granny" Huffstetler, 90, of Groves, passed away Monday June 11, 2007 at her home. She was born September 21, 1916 in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana to Frank and Victoria Mouton. She was a resident of Port Arthur for 38 years. Mathilda was a homemaker and a member of St. James Catholic Church.
A gathering of friends and family will be Wednesday June 13, 2007 from 6-8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 3 PM Thursday June 14, 2007 at Clayton Thompson Funeral Chapel. Entombment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mathilda is preceded in death by her husband Roy Huffstetler, her son, Bill Huffstetler and grandson, Chris Kenney. She is survived by her daughters Cinda Aery of Groves, Barbara Kenney and her husband Gerald of Houston. Sons Dave Huffstetler of Augusta, Georgia, Frank Huffstetler and his wife, Bobbie of Crosby, Texas, sister May Bellot of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of Granny’s dear friends that came to call on her especially, Pete, Yvonne and Joyce.

Lolan Savoy "Papa Bear"

Lolan "Papa Bear" Savoy passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Renaissance Hospital in Groves at the age of 78. He was born in Leroy, Louisiana on June 17, 1929 to Lelia Pomea Savoy and Edvard Savoy.
Jane and Lolan were married in their home state of Louisiana in 1950. He was deployed to Korea and served his country there for three years. In 1955 Lolan moved his small family and carpenter skills to the Port Arthur/Groves Area. This was the start of Savoy Construction which continues today as he passed his skills and knowledge down to his sons, Steve Savoy Construction (now deceased), Blayne Savoy Custom Builders is a well known builder in the Dallas area and Kevin Savoy a skilled carpenter. Lolan also known as ‘Papa Bear’ took great pride in his skills and craftsmanship from the foundation to the front door key. A ‘Savoy’ constructed home has a reputation of excellence. His life centered on his family and the traditions of the Cajun way. There were crabs, crawfish and shrimp for any and every reason to celebrate. The family gatherings were as important to him as his profession. His association with Jeffco, Russell Tipps, Clyde Hawsey, Bob Costillow not to mention Parker Lumber and Ritter Lumber will long be remembered. His love of gardening, hunting and fishing were his source of relaxation. He truly passed these traditions to his children, grandchildren and now great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. Rest in Peace.
Visitation was held Saturday, January 12, 2008 from 11 A.M. till 8 P.M. with a rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at the Clayton Thompson Funeral Home and on Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 9 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Graveside service with military funeral honors were at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Nederland.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his son Steve Savoy, his sister Gertie Suire and his brother-in-laws Aldon Suire and Harold Hebert.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jane Savoy, his sons Blayne Savoy and his wife Vanessa, Kevin Savoy, his daughter, Jennifer Savoy LeBlanc and her husband Blake; His daughter-in-law, Terry Savoy along with Nine grandchildren, Clifton Simoneaux and wife Elizabeth, Brian Simoneaux, Darren Savoy and wife Lisa, Jimmy Savoy, Garrett Savoy, Jaymie Savoy, Joey LeBlanc and wife Kelly, Meagan Savoy and Desirae Savoy as well as five great-grandchildren, Olivia Simoneaux, Timothy Simoneaux, Brandon Simoneaux, Skyler LeBlanc and Leland LeBlanc. He is also survived by his sisters, Hilda Hebert of Lafayette, Louisiana, Elgene Broussard and husband Johnny of Maurice, Louisiana and Deana Ratliff and husband Howard of Lafayette, Louisiana along with a host of nieces and nephews, grand and great-grandnieces and nephews.
