Mack Alton Gillespie, 91, of Longview, Texas passed away Thursday February 11, 2010 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Glynn Vickers at 10:00 AM Tuesday February 16, 2010 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Chapel in Paris, Texas with burial in Evergreen cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 A.M. till 10:00 AM prior to service.
Mr. Gillespie was born September 5, 1918 in the Atlas Community, Lamar County, later moving to Paris. He was the only child of the late Edward Andrew and Mary Yates Gillespie.
Mack Gillespie was a long-time member of Calvary United Methodist Church. In 2004 he moved to Longview to be near family and became a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church.
After completing Paris schools in 1936, he worked for Prudential Insurance and attended baseball camp in 1938 in Jackson, Mississippi. He played baseball with the Lake Charles Louisiana Evangeline League during 1939 and 1940. He joined the Navy January 25, 1942, serving in the Pacific aboard the ship USS Fabius until his discharge March 19, 1946 as a Chief Petty Officer. Mack then taught at Paris Commercial College until September 8, 1948 when he began working for Texas Power & Light in Paris as Chief Clerk. In November-1951 he was transferred to the Dallas office and became a member of their internal audit staff where he remained until his retirement January 31, 1981, completing 32 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-son, Larry Wayne Pulliam.
He is survived by his wife, Golden Pulliam Gillespie, whom he married
March 7, 1970. Other survivors are his daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Jeannie) Griffin of Houston and Mrs. Ron (Jayne) Bigony of Longview. Also, a granddaughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Alecia) Lawyer of Houston and great-grandsons, Jacob Greggory and Zachary Marker Lawyer, as well as daughter-in-law Donna Ellis and several cousins.
Pallbearers will be Jackie McQueen, Brad Hughes, Jack Abshire, Bill Brooks, Mike Sims, and Ricky Jordan. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Hughes, Dave Philley, Dr. Wm. Hayden, Quentin Hawkins, Randel Ground, and Vernon Sims.

Betty Sue Bradford, 65 of Blossom, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at her home.
Funeral Services have been scheduled for Friday, February 12, 2010 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. with Dustin May officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
She is survived by her husband, Danny Bradford, Sr.; children, Sharon Boyd and Phillip McKinney, Dana McFadden, Danny Joe Bradford and wife Mandy; grandchildren, Calvin Boyd, Colby Boyd, Bradford McFadden, Juddie McFadden, Lucas Bradford, Ely Bradford, Caleb Bradford, Tyler Nestorek, Stonar McKinney, Asa McKinney, Jay McKinney; brothers, Travis “Bubba” Wilson; sisters, Emily Townsend and Patsy Haley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Travis and Dorothy Wilson and a grandson, Michael Sean Boyd.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandsons Bradford McFadden, Juddie McFadden, Calvin Boyd, Colby Boyd, Caleb Bradford, Asa McKinney, Stonar McKinney and Jay McKinney.

Margaret Caskey, 85, of Temple died Tuesday, Feb. 9, in a Temple Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Evergreen cemetery in Paris, Texas.
Miss Caskey was born November 23, 1924 in Leonard, Texas to Wayne Gilbert Caskey and Irene Stallings Caskey. She graduated from high school and nurses school in Paris, Texas . She also graduated from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois and earned a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin . She worked as a Registered Nurse, social worker, and home health care provider during her career.
She is survived by three nieces, Linda M. Beavers, M. Jeanne Gibson, Ruth E. Gibson, one nephew, W. Daniel Gibson, Jr. and many great and great, great nieces and nephews.

Ima Jean Walls, 83, of Lamar Point passed away February 6, 2010 at her residence. She was born on November 23, 1926 in Hopkins Co. a daughter of Samuel and Nora Jane Moore Fouse. Ima Jean married
Ernie L. Walls on February 21, 1943 in Cumby, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers Dossie, Ross, L.B., Johnny, Sammy, James and a sister Daisy Kincaid. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lamar Point Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Mildred Peacock and husband William; grandson Jonathan Peacock and wife Amy of Sulphur Springs; great grandchildren Coby and Cortni Steele; a brother Commodore Fouse of Ladonia.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday February 9, 2010 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Crosswhite officiating. Burial will be in the Peerless cemetery with Bill Harris, W.C. (Dub) McKinney, Ernie Fouse, Ernie Sutton, Justin Sutton, and Sam Sutton serving as pallbearers. Dianne Moss Ricketson, 60, of Paris, formerly of Pinhook, died Saturday February 6, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday February 12, 2010 at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Burial will follow in East Post Oak cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
She was born December 31, 1949 in Paris a daughter of R. L. and Mary Belle Eubanks Moss. She was a member of East Paris Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Gala Annette McCoin; brothers Jerry Ray Moss, David Craig Moss; sister-in-law Wanda Hughes and a nephew, Tab Hughes.
She is survived by her husband Ronnie G. Ricketson; children, Brad McCoin and wife Jennifer, Brian McCoin and wife Teddi, Bethany McCoin, Becca Pierce, Tisha Ricketson; sister Mary Lee Mims and husband Robert; brother Bob Moss and wife Brenda; grandchildren Shelby McCoin, Emilee McCoin, Kyler McCoin, Haley McCoin, Harmony McCoin, Halle McCoin, Nicholas Pierce and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

GORDON CHAU, 58 of Corinth, Texas and the Lamar Point Community, died at 11:58 PM, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at Paris Regional Medical Center-North. Funeral services are set for 11:00 AM, Monday, February 8, 2010 in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Brad Crosswhite officiating. Burial will be at 3:00 PM on Monday in the Swisher cemetery in Denton County. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time prior to the service on Monday. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Gordon was born to Moon Get and Kwing Yee Lee Chau in Dallas, Texas on August 4, 1951. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and attended college in Dallas. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. Gordon married
Marla Steedley on August 27, 1975 in Taylor, Louisiana. He was the Finance Director for Toyota of Paris for the past 8 years. He was a member of the Lamar Point Baptist Church serving as the Awanas leader.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marla Chau of Corinth; three sons, Brandon Chau and wife, Dr. Vi Chau of Dallas, Tyler Chau, and Cameron Chau, both of Corinth; one granddaughter, Addison Chau of Dallas; his mother, Kwing Yee Chau of McKinney, Texas; three sisters and one brother, Pauline McDonald and husband, Larry of McKinney, Christine Lew and husband, Dr. Edwin Lew of Farmers Branch, Texas, Gerry Chau and wife, Vickey of Yantis, Texas, and Shirley Auman and husband, David of McKinney; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Moon Chau.
Serving as pallbearers are Chuck Richey, Michael Stone, John Haigler, Gerry Chau, Johnny Lamberson, and Walter Chambers.
Thomas Anderson Parsons

Thomas Anderson Parsons, age 96, passed from this life on January 30, 2010 at his home in Belk. Funeral services are set for Tuesday February 2, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Belk United Methodist Church. Officiating the service will be the Reverend Mark Hutchison and the Reverend Betty Lyke. Burial will follow at West Post Oak cemetery with the Masonic Lodge conducting Masonic graveside rites. The family will receive family and friends one hour prior to service at the church. After services, family and friends will gather at the Belk Church for food and fellowship.
Named in honor of his mother’s brother, Dr. Thomas Anderson Hartgraves, he was born October 23, 1913 in Belk, where he lived his whole life on farm and ranch land settled by his grandfather Parsons. His parents were John Eddie and Annie Hartgraves Parsons. Mr. Parsons was a farmer and rancher who loved the community, the land, and raising cattle.
A lifetime, faithful member of Belk United Methodist Church, he served in many leadership roles, including Sunday school Superintendent and Song Leader for over sixty years. During his long life, he only missed attending Sunday school and worship services a handful of times. He also served as church lay leader and trustee and was a lay delegate from the North Lamar Parish to the North Texas Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
An active Mason for over seventy years at the Roan Oak Lodge in Garretts Bluff, he served as Worshipful Master, Secretary, and in other leadership positions. Among his many honors in Masonry was the Golden Trowel Award for Exceptional Service by the Grand Lodge of Texas. He was a member of the Paris Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite of Dallas, the York Rite, the Hella Shrine, Lafayette Council of Texas, Commandry of the Knights Templar of Texas and Order of the Eastern Star in Paris where he was a Past-Worthy Patron. He was also a member of the Lamar County Retired Teachers Association.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Ruby Emmons Parsons, a longtime teacher at Chicota, Paris and Lamar County schools. They were married
at the Emmons homeplace north of Honey Grove on June 15, 1945. He is survived by their son and daughter-in-law Dr. Terry and Kathleen Parsons of Richardson; grand-daughter and son-in-law Laura Parsons Chester and Andy Chester of McKinney; grandson and daughter-in-law Adam and Ashley Parsons of Krum; great-grandson Wyatt Anderson Chester; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to Drethia and Mike Parsons, Lawrence Parsons, Ben Mooring, Shirley Denman, Julie Pate, Crystal Davis, Brandy Estes and Liz Sawyer for their care and help.

Anderson Parsons was a good, kind, and faithful man who loved the Lord, his family and friends and thoughtfully touched the lives of all those he met. Dorothy Laurene Holland, 70 of Blossom, passed away Friday, January 29, 2010 at her home.
A graveside service has been scheduled for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at Knight of Honor cemetery in Blossom, Texas with Rev. Tony Corso officiating. No visitation has been scheduled.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; daughter, Sandy Patterson and husband Jerry of Blossom; grandchildren, Leo Carter and wife Crystal, Mark Carter and wife Kim; great-grandchild, John Mark Carter; brother, Charles Raymond Morris; sisters, Irene Morris, Jean Franks, Kate Hamlin, Marvelin Hendren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Curtiss and Cora Lee McAnally Easley; brothers, John Easley and Paul Jack Easley.
