CHARLES FLEMING “Bill” PRICE 79, of Paris, died at 8:50 PM, Friday, May 30, 2008 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 3, 2008 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM, Monday evening at the funeral home. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Price was born May 23, 1929 in Paris to Charles Thomas and Valarie Fleming Price. He graduated from Paris High School in 1950 and later received his degree from Texas A&M; University majoring in Animal Husbandry and minoring in Business. Mr. Price married
Bettye Jean Maynard in October of 1960 in Paris. He was a long-time insurance agent in business with his father owning C.Price & Son Insurance Agency. He was also a rancher, automotive body repairman, and had a transport service servicing area funeral homes. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, the Greater Paris Rotary Club, and a Little League Baseball sponsor. He loved being outdoors riding horses and enjoying water sports. Bill enjoyed helping anyone in need. He was a friend to everyone.
Mr. Price is survived by his wife, Bettye Price of Paris; two daughters, Penny Price Cox and husband, Scott and Tammy Price Jamin and husband, Marc, all of Paris; three grandchildren, Dominique, Queeny, and Allyson Jamin; two sisters, Jesse Gilmour of Midland, Texas and Martha Robinson and husband, Lee of Paris; his beloved pets, Sassy and Honey; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Chad Fleming Price and Charles Todd Price.
Pallbearers will be David Taylor, Larry Maynard, Scott Cox, Charles Frazier, Bill Robinson, and Mike Julian. Honorary pallbearers will be Artie Ribble and Marc Jamin.

ROYCE E. HUTCHINS 69, of Chandler, Texas, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 30, 2008. Funeral services are set for 2:00 PM, Monday, June 2, 2008 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Patrick Cannon officiating. A time of visitation with family and friends will be from 1:00 PM until service time. Burial will follow in Restland cemetery in Roxton. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Hutchins was born to Russell Thomas Hutchins and Ruby Lee McDowell Hutchins on the old Doc Bruce’s farm three miles west of Roxton, Texas, on Friday, April 14, 1939. Royce was a member of the Green Acres Baptist Church of Tyler. He attended Roxton schools through the sixth grade and Paris schools through graduation in 1957. He worked for Southwestern Bell for 33 years before retiring as the Tyler/Longview District Manager in 1991. Royce enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was an avid reader, history buff and a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He was a loving son, brother, father and grandfather.
Mr. Hutchins is survived by his three children: daughter Kelley Jaska and husband Robert of Van Alstyne, daughter Michelle Taylor and husband Jacky of Arlington, and son Royce E. “Bud” Hutchins, Jr. of Lenoire City, Tennessee; one stepson Mark Martin of Texas City; eight grandchildren: Leslie Gamino and husband Carlos of Fort Worth, Todd Wright and wife Charlotte of McKinney, Russell Jaska and Reid Jaska, both of Van Alstyne, Robert “Trey” Jaska of Tom Bean, Ashlee Taylor of Las Colinas, Rachel Taylor of College Station, and Jake Taylor of Kennedale; two step-grandchildren Mason Martin and Mallory Martin, both of Whitehouse; and two great-grandchildren Jordan Gamino and Matthew Gamino, both of Fort Worth. He is also survived by two brothers: Waymon Hutchins and wife Sherry of Tyler, and Paul Hutchins and wife Karen of Paris; two sisters: Juanell Campbell and husband John of Paris, and Sandy Welch also of Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews. Royce was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Michael Hutchins, and a brother-in-law Joe Welch, all of Paris.
Pallbearers will be Rogene Logan, Warren Bassham, Jerry Lemons, Mike Welch, Jeff Hutchins, Brandon Hutchins, Steve Hutchins and Andy Thompson.
Zelta Mae (Smith) Dillon

Zelta Mae (Smith) Dillon, 90, of Clarksville passed away Friday May 30, 2008 at East Texas Medical Center in Clarksville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday June 3, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Detroit with Rev. Bill Draper and Ronald Segers officiating. Burial will follow at Algoma cemetery in Marshall, Texas under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
She was born October 20, 1917 in Ira, Texas a daughter of Alvin Earl and Susan Mae Ellis Smith. She was a home health aide and a member of the First Baptist Church in Detroit.
Survivors include a son, Donnie Loyd Dillon and wife, Ann of Denison; grandchildren, Donald Wayne Dillon and wife Melinda, Melody Bynum and husband, Willie, and Michelle Dillon; a great granddaughter, Mary Kathryn Dillon and a sister, Cleo Smith of Snyder, Texas. She was preceded in death by a son, Forrest Alvin Dillon and a grand daughter, Claudine Janelle Dillon.
Pallbearers will be Chad Barnes, Blake Barnes, Ben Glass, Willie Bynum, Don Shovan and Kenny Snodgrass. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Ritchey, Wes Wright, Claude Lewis and Roger Williams.

R. B. Ellison, 71, of Paris died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday June 2, 2008 at the D F W National cemetery in Dallas with Rev. Dwight Stewart officiating. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
He was born April 4, 1937 in Idabel, Oklahoma a son of Grafton and Nellie Shropshire Ellison. He served his country in the United States Navy. He was a cabinetmaker by trade and a member of the Assembly of God.
Survivors include his children, Terresa DeJean, Ranae Kelsey, Robert Bryan Ellison; grandchildren, Justin Radford, Kriston Radford, K. C. Kelsey, Christopher DeJean, Alexander Ellison, Jimmy Ellison, Emily Yongue; great grandchildren, Emilee Yongue, Jayden Radford and Anthony Radford and the mother of his children, Ruth Rupp.

Helen “Marie” Shelton 82, of Detroit, entered into heavenly rest at 8:45 PM, Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Paris Healthcare Center. Funeral services are set for 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Detroit with Rev. Bill Draper officiating. Burial will follow at the Bluff cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM, Saturday evening at the funeral home. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Shelton was born August 23, 1925 in the Fulbright Community of Red River County to Paul D. and Alpha Patterson Lewis. She attended Detroit Schools and married
David Shelton July 3, 1948 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on May 8, 1996. Mrs. Shelton was employed in the cafeteria at Detroit ISD for 10 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Detroit.
Mrs. Shelton is survived by two daughters, Anna Jackson of Reno and Sherry Fox and husband, Mark of Reno; four grandchildren, Kristi Mayes and husband, Randy of Blossom, James “Jamie” Jackson and wife, Sharon of Reno, Jeremy Fox and wife, Kim of Ada, Oklahoma, and Michael Fox of Greenville, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Amber Trammel of Paris, Haley Trammel of Reno, and Elise and Ethan Fox of Ada; one great-great-granddaughter, Kinslee Brooke Hicks of Paris; three sisters, Dorothy Ritchie, Virginia Coleman, and Geraldine Graves, all of Detroit; and two brothers, James B. Lewis of the Woodland Community and Paul K. Lewis of Detroit. She was preceded in death by her parents; one great-granddaughter, Celes Fox; one great-great-grandson, Korbin Blaine Hicks, and a son-in-law, James Jackson.
Mrs. Shelton’s nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Robert R. McBrayer, 86, of Roxton passed away Monday May 26, 2008 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct Masonic graveside services at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday May 28, 2008 at Pecan Gap cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday 7-8 p.m.
He was born September 1, 1921 in Delta County a son of Larkin W. and Willie Kate Hollon McBrayer. He married
Joyce Dorough in Roxton. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He was a heavy equipment mechanic, a cabinet maker, member of the Masonic Lodge in Roxton and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce McBrayer, two children Dewayne Howard and wife Linda, and Rita Hindman and husband, David; grandchildren, Dakota, Dustin, Kristen and Chloe; sisters, V. Jeraldine Berry of Carrollton, Joyce Davidson and husband, Charles Davidson, Jr. of Deport; brother-in-law, Sherley Berry and sister-in-law, Bedena McBrayer of Irving. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar (Pete) McBrayer and a sister, Katherine Regan.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Roxton Masonic Lodge.

Mrs. Lloyd C. Wooten, 87, of Paris passed away peacefully at home Tuesday May 27. Graveside services will be held at Meadowbrook Gardens cemetery at 3 pm on Saturday, May 31 with the Rev. Sharon Clepper officiating. No visitation has been scheduled.
Dortha Elizabeth Wooten was born on November 20 1920 in Roxton, TX the daughter of the late A.D. and Sarah Jane “Sadie” Bohall Bowen. She graduated from both Paris High School and Paris Junior College . On December 21st, 1941 she married
Lloyd C Wooten in Paris and they shared a wonderful life for 41 years until he preceded her in death in 1983. She was also preceded in death by her sister Mrs. Aaron “Leta” Curry and brothers Lloyd D. Bowen and Leonard S. Bowen.
Mrs. Wooten was employed for 32 years by the Hunt Eye Ears Nose Throat and Clinic as an optician, contact lens technician, and surgical assistant, having her training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston . She was a member of the Paris Opthalmic Association, American Society of Contact Lens Technicians, and a charter member of the Texas Society of Contact Lens Technicians. She was also a member of the First Methodist Church, the Good Earth Garden Club, the Southwest Chapter of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breeders Association, the Elks Club, and the Red River Honkers Antique Auto Club. Mrs. Wooten also served as the Reunion Secretary of her Paris High School Class of 1937 and loved to travel.
Memories of Dortha and her enduring sense of humor will be treasured by all who knew her, espescially her surviving family: daughter Rita Ingram and husband Kenny of Rockwall, TX; granddaughter Kristina Highley and husband Jeremy of Westminster, CO; and granddaughters Kelly Decker of Rockwall, TX and Keela Ingram of Dallas, TX. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Kyle Decker, Zeya Highley, and Valyn Highley. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Norton, Charles McClure, and Grady Morphis.

Doris Evelyn Eudy Ballard, 94, longtime resident of the Clardy community, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2008, at Parkview Care Center.
Funeral services are set for 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2008 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Carter Lyles of Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Burial follows in Evergreen cemetery.
The family receives friends Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
She was born April 26, 1914, in the Chapel Hill community to Tom and Frances Rucker Eudy. She graduated from Cunningham High School in 1934. She married
Alvis Glen Ballard in Deport on October 19, 1935. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Clardy where she taught Sunday School classes for over 45 years.
She loved to read, cook, garden, quilt, sing, and visit with friends.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Lee Eudy, Howard Dalton Eudy, Roy Willard Eudy, Grady Morris Eudy, and one sister, Thelma Eudy Russell.
She is survived by four children, Norris Ballard and wife Elaine of Clardy, Sue Gibbs and husband Delma of Detroit, Kay Hancock and husband Danny of Clardy, and Louellen Hanna and husband Larry of Tyler; 9 grandchildren, Amy Ballard and Kelli Stewart, Joe Glen Gibbs, David Gibbs, Della Blanton, Danita Gonzales, Kenny Hancock, Mary English, and Daniel Hancock; 15 great-grandchildren, Maggie, Claire and Lilly Stewart, Jacob, Samuel and Weston Blanton, Scott, Shane and Stephen Gonzales, Sara Jo Gibbs, Cody, Conner, and Collin Hancock, and Logan and Zayne English.
