Robert James Dundas, 45, of Roxton died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Paris.
A memorial service honoring his life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at First United Methodist Church of Roxton with the Rev. Mike Roberts officiating.
Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
He was born Sept. 7, 1958, in Rochester, N.Y., a son of Robert James and Margaret Dennison Dundas. He was a graduate of New York schools and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a cabinet maker by trade. He married
Katherine Gundersen on Oct. 15, 1987, in New York.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1993.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert Joseph Dundas, Shawn Michael Dundas and Benjamin Lee Dundas; daughter, Grace Margaret Dundas; father, Robert James Dundas of Florida; three sisters, Mary DeMoss of Missouri, Nancy Manfrieda and Susan Sperry, both of New York; three nephews and a niece.
Margaret Elizabeth Sauer
Margaret Elizabeth Sauer, 95, of Dallas passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, in Walnut Place Nursing Home.
Graveside rites will be conducted by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Evergreen cemetery with the Rev. Doug Miller officiating.
She was born Nov. 7, 1908, in Paris, a daughter of James Johnston and Abbie Anne Johnston Hooks. She attended Rice University, and married
Albert C. Sauer in 1936. They made their home in Houston for a few years before moving back to Dallas, where she taught biology at Highland Park High School for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1979 and by three brothers, Arthur J. Hooks, James J. Hooks, and Blake Byron Hooks.
She has no survivors.
Kathryn Elizabeth Bryson Butler
Kathryn Elizabeth Bryson Butler, 77, of Paris died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Heritage Care Center.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Neil Higginbotham officiating. Burial will follow in Bogata cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
She was born Nov. 11, 1926, in Norman, Okla., a daughter of Harvey and Winnie Scoggins Bryson. She was married
to Bill Butler Dec. 26, 1945. She was a supervisor at Hollywood Vassarette for 16 years and later was an LVN at L.P. McCuistion Hospital for 13 years where she was a very loving and caring nurse. She was a member of the First Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bill and Troy Bryson.
Survivors include two daughters, Wynell Bratcher and husband, Larry, of Blossom and Susan Butler Johnson and husband, Trey, of Lone Oak; a son, Ricky A. Butler and wife, Mary, of Paris; grandchildren, John Bratcher and wife, Alishia, Matt Bratcher and wife, Randi, Wesley Butler, Dolan Butler, Randall Farley and Jennifer Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Jacob Bratcher; a brother, Boe Bryson of Louisiana; the father of her children, Bill Butler, and wife, Shirley, of Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Marcel Bryson, Matt Bratcher, John Bratcher, Wesley Butler, Randy Fischer, Randall Farley and Richard Bratcher.
Troy Clinton Hignight
Troy Clinton Hignight, 31, of Paris passed away Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, in Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital South.
Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, in Taylortown cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Short officiating. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

He was born Sept. 2, 1972, in Paris, a son of Charles and Helen Little Hignight. He married
Jamie Leshaun Sasnett on June 11, 1998, in Lamar County.
Survivors include his wife; children, Paula Ann, Elizabeth Marie, Jonathan Alexander, Kelsey Leshay, Asa Koy and Caleb Michael Hignight; father, Charles Hignight; mother, Helen Marsh; brothers, Chad Hignight, Sasmuel Hignight and Jeremy Hignight; sister, Chelsea Hignight; and grandparents, Patsy Mayhugh and Katherine Little.
Jewell Rose Wise
Jewell Rose Wise, 66, of Paris passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, in the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Chapel.
Family receives friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
She was born on July 31, 1941, in Carthage, Mo., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gutherie. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. On Jan. 31, 1966, she married
Kenneth Ray Wise in Carthage, Mo. He survives.
Fay Barber O’Connor
HONEY GROVE — Fay Barber O’Connor, 84, of Petty, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, in Christus St. Joseph’s Hospital South in Paris.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, in Petty Methodist Church with Pastor Beverly Olsen, assistant pastor of Calvary Methodist Church in Paris, officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove cemetery under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Honey Grove.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at the funeral home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Van Zant County, a daughter of Elmer Francis Barber and Anna Deana Britt Barber. She married
John Quinn O’Connor Jr. March 20, 1938, in Bonham. She was a member of Petty Methodist Church and a retired employee of First State Bank in Honey Grove.
She was preceded in death by her husband on May 30, 2001; her parents; and two brothers, Pete Barber and D.J. Barber.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jim Thomas of Paris; granddaughter and husband, Rachel and Brian Reese of Mesquite; grandson and wife, Brandon and Cheylanne Thomas of Paris; great-granddaughter, Robbin Reese and Brenna Quinn Reese; great-grandson, Jacob Thomas; stepgreat-granddaughter, Bailee Clark; nephews, John O’Connor of Mount Pleasant, Richard O’Connor of Bonham, Sam O’Connor of Frisco and Larry Barber of Tulsa, Okla.; nieces, Pat Kepner of Richardson and Judy Hasik of Stillwater, Okla.; and sister-in-law, Zona Parrish of Bogota.

Harold S. Griffith Jr.
Harold S. Griffith Jr., 91, of Honey Grove, formerly of Paris, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at the Medical Center of McKinney.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at First Baptist Church of Honey Grove with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating. Burial follows in Forest Chapel cemetery with military rites. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
Willie Mae Thomas Roden
Willie Mae Thomas Roden, 85, of Paris passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Paris Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at First Christian Church followed by a private burial in Meadowbrook cemetery under the direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Pastor Jim Hollingsworth of First Christian Church conducted the service.
She was born Sept. 23, 1918, in Paris to W.D. and Myrtle Davis Thomas, one of five children. She graduated from Paris High School with honors and later attended business college in El Reno, Okla.
She married
Mark Roden on June 28, 1947, in Paris. She was a homemaker for many years and was a vital part of the community. After her husband passed away, she began a retail career at Reagan’s Department Store and after many years of service, retired as the assistant manager. She did volunteer work for the Veteran’s Administration for years and was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority as well as a girl scout leader, active member of the P.T.A. and Christian Women Fellowship. She was a member of the First Christian Church for all of her life and her activities included teaching Sunday School and dean and elder in the church.
She was nominated for Woman of the Year for the Friendship Club and due to her innumerable contributions, the club was named C’est La Vie in honor of her. In the spring of 2003, she was honored by the First Christian Church with a faithful servant award.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean McNeal and brothers, Ed Thomas and Arnold Thomas.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Terry of Paris and husband, Mark; granddaughters, Sabrina Parker of St. Jo and Danielle Terry of Paris; sister, Virginia Norman of Denison; nieces, Dr. Norma David of Denison and Dr. Kim McNeal of Paris; and nephews, Mike McNeal of Mesquite, Eddy Thomas of Paris, David Thomas of Paris and Dr. Jerry Thomas of Dallas.
Casket bearers were Don Wilson, Elbert Nance, John Fielding, John Scharfe, A.V. Wacasey and Doug Winn.
She will be remembered for her generous and giving spirit and she selflessly served her community, church and family all of her life.
