Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Monday, June 7, in Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gerald Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Restlawn Gardens cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.
Vicki Diane Williamson
Vicki Diane Williamson, 46, of Blossom passed away Thursday, June 3, 2004, at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received her into their care.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
She was born on Nov. 11, 1957, in Vernon, the daughter of Billy Wayne and June Doyal Landers.
Patrick Ronnell Franklin
Senior Chief Patrick Ronnell Franklin, 36, formerly of Paris, passed away May 30, 2004, at Lutheran General Hospital, Chicago, Ill., following a motorcycle accident.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Solid Rock Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Restlawn Garden cemetery under the direction of Maxey Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 12, 1967. He joined the United States Navy on June 29, 1986, and completed recruit training in San Diego, Calif. He served in Jacksonville, Fla.; Norfolk, Va.; Bremerton, Wash.; China; Japan; Africa; and Saudi Arabia. He recently received highest honors of Senior Chief on April 2004.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Jasmine, Zachary and Taylor of Chicago; his mother, Donna Gail Crussell of Paris; his father, Joe Evans Franklin of Dangerfield; sisters, Gayle Ferguson and husband, Darwin, of Paris, Gwendolyn Hart and husband, David, of Baytown, DaShata Franklin of Dangerfield and LaCresa Franklin of Fort Worth; brothers, Kendrick Crussell and Jeremy Crussell of Paris; grandmother, Lillie McCuin of Paris; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Leslie McCaslan
Leslie McCaslan, 91, of Dallas, formerly of Paris, died Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in Dallas.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2004, in Presbyterian cemetery in Chicota with the Rev. Cynthia Davenport-Herbst officiating. Services were under the direction of Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home.
She was born Aug. 29, 1912, in Chicota, the daughter of Leslie and Virginia Wilkins McCaslan. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator for 35 years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Paris. She was an avid gardener who especially loved roses. She spent her life caring for family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Polly, Rebecca, Zeleam and Nickey.
Survivors include her sister, Selma Werner of Montgomery, Ala.; four nieces, Ginny Green of Dallas, Becky Green of Dallas, Susie Post of Plano and Leslie Threlkeld of Slidell, La.; and a nephew, Pat Green of Aurora, Colo.
Jimmy Eugene Mauldin
BOGATA — Jimmy Eugene Mauldin, 63, of Paris passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007.
A memorial service and interment of his ashes is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Cuthand cemetery with the Rev. John Purviance, pastor of Cuthand United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home of Bogata.
He was born Jan. 24, 1944, in Deport, the son of Eugene and Zelma Minshew Mauldin. He retired from Arch Wireless Company of San Antonio and after his retirement drove a school bus for San Antonio Schools. He served in the United States Air Force.
Frances Ilene Wilson
Frances Ilene Wilson, 81, of Paris passed away Monday, June 21, 2004, at the family residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, in the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Moore and Wally Kraft officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery under the direction of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

She was born on Sept. 19, 1922, in Roxton, the daughter of W.F. “Sadie” and Edith Weatherford Merritt. She was a longtime member of Paris Squares Dance Club. She married
Marshall Everett Wilson on Jan. 30, 1946, in Paris.
Survivors include her husband, Marshall Wilson; one daughter, Marsha Ann Moore; granddaughter, Shannon Ausmus and husband, Bryan; great-grandson, Cody Ausmus; brother, Creed Merritt and wife, Betty; nieces, Debbie Hindman and husband, Jerry, and Kristin and Amanda Hindman; and special friend, Tommy Malone.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Ausmus, B.F Clark, Wally Kraft, Tommy Malone, G.E. “Nick” Nichols and Wayne Vanderburg.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Bolton, Jerry Hindman, Ray Merritt, Robert Rhoades, Tom Westbrook and all square dancing friends.

Lucille Fletcher Roden, 85, of Paris passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Paris Regional Medical Center.

Roden, the daughter of Thomas Rufus and May Kirkham Fletcher, was born Oct. 3, 1922, in Roxton. She married
Vaughn Thomas Roden on July 6, 1946, in Roxton. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 1995. She worked at Woff & Marks until they were acquired by Dillards. She continued to work for Dillards until her retirement in 1994.
Joyce Virge Detten
Joyce Virge Detten, 78, of Paris, passed away, Friday, June 18, 2004, in Paris Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Providence cemetery, under the direction of Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends in Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday.
She was born June 6, 1926, in Frostproof, Fla., the daughter of Virgil and Essie Ulery-Niesler. She was preceded in death by both her parents and a brother, David Niesler.
She is survived by a loving family, including granddaughter, Amanda McCurry-Porter; granddaughter, Jessica Sprouse; grandson, Billy Wayne Sprouse; grandson-in-law, Clinton Porter; daughter; Sharon Sprouse and grandson, Dylan Limbock.

Nina Ward Hudson
BOGATA — Nina Ward Hudson, 92, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2004, at East Texas Medical Center of Clarksville.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 21, under the pavilion of Bogata cemetery with the Rev. Chris Yost officiating.
She was born Jan. 28, 1912, in Rugby, the daughter of Herschel and Lou Cheshire and had lived in Bogata all her life. In 1932, she married
Sidney Hudson. She had been a resident of Red River Healthcare Center for the past eight years. She was a member of Bogata Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, on Nov. 27. 1970; her parents; and one sister, Luella Swami.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-laws, David and Fredrik Hudson of Mount Pleasant and Sid and Pat Hudson of Cypress Springs Lake, formerly of Mesquite; five grandchildren, Mark Hudson of Lewisville, Chris Hudson of Tyler, April Hudson of Lubbock, Stephanie Greene of Dallas and Lance Hudson of Humble; and seven great-grandchildren, Leslie, Aaron, Allie, Garrett, Hailey, Hayden and Pierce.
Pallbearers will be family members.
