CLARKSVILLE — Nowlin “Buddy” Cooper, 65, of Clarksville died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2004.

Edna Mae Bell Pruitt
CLARKSVILLE — Edna Mae Bell Pruitt, 83, of Clarksville passed away Saturday, July 31, 2004, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at Lindeman Chapel with Charles Brannam officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
She was born in Comanche County, Okla., on April 12, 1921, to Robert and Lillian Carter Runnels. She was a Jehovah Witness.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Allen Bell; and a son, Elmer Wayne Bell.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Pruitt, of Clarksville, whom she married
on Nov. 26, 1984, in Paris; daughters, Lillian Miller of Lancaster, Patricia Bell Maples of Mesquite and Irene Burke of Paris; one sister, Jewel Williams of Ardmore, Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Blake Alan Baggett
Wanda Nell Lee, 65, and her son, Blake Alan Baggett, 35, of Plano died Tuesday, July 27, 2004, in their home in Plano.
A double service will be held in the chapel of Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, with the Rev. Beverly Olson officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens.
Family and friends will be received from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1938, in Sumner, the daughter of J.B. “Cootsie” White and Jeffaleen Hewgley.
She had been a member of Sumner Methodist Church and was involved in graphic computer design.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald White; a son, Billy Norman Baggett Jr.; and a nephew, Kevin White.
She is survived by a nephew; Rodney White and wife, Julie; a niece, Lisa White; great-nephews, Kolton, Dustin and Eric White; a great-niece, Katie White; and a special aunt, Doris Carnahan.
Pallbearers will be Dustin, Eric, Rob and John White, Billy Winn Carnahan and Kenny Keenum. Kolton White will serve as honorary pallbearer.
He was born Aug. 16, 1968, in Dallas, the son of Wanda Nell White and Bill Baggett.
Like his mother, he was involved in computers.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Norman Baggett Jr.; an uncle, Ronald White; and a cousin, Kevin White.
He is survived by his father; cousins, Rodney White and wife, Julie, Dustin, Eric, Kolton, Katie and Lisa White, Ricky Baggett, Sandy Rachels and Jana Long; and aunts, Doris Carnahan and Geneva Baggett.
Pallbearers will be Rickey Baggett, Larry Long, Jeff and Jason Crabb, Craig Bailey and Randy Rachels. Kolton White and Rodney White will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Frank James Kuykendall Jr.
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Frank James Kuykendall Jr., 89, died Friday, July 30, 2004, at Moses Cone Hospital.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at First Presbyterian Church Chapel under the direction of Forbis & Dick Funeral Service, 1118 N. Elm St., Greensboro.
He was born Aug. 12, 1914, in Paris, the son of Frank James and Mary Anna Brown Kuykendall. He had one sister, the late Mary Dorothy Kennemer. A graduate of Paris High School, he attended John Tarleton College. Until 1956, he ran Kuykendall Food Products in Paris, a company started by his father in 1919. He later was regional manager for Frito Lay in San Antonio and Lubbock. He was a former member of First Methodist Church in Paris and West Market Street Methodist Church in Greensboro. At the time of his death, he was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Greensboro. He was a former member of the city council in Paris.
He especially enjoyed traveling and visiting with his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. They are Robert J. Knox Jr. and his wife, Harriette, and their son, Davis, and J. Scott Knox and his wife, Kim, and their children, Slater, Reid and Elizabeth.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ester Louise Record Kuykendall; children, Priscilla Knox and her husband, Robert J. Knox, of Greensboro, Ronald Frank Kuykendall of Pacific Grove, Calif., and Richard James Kuykendall and wife, Jutta, of St. Pete Beach, Fla. He is also survived by Hubert Clarence Kennemer, III, of Palo Alto, Calif. and David Frank Kennemer of Colorado Springs, Colo.

Eleanor Opal Coward
WILLS POINT — Eleanor Opal Coward, 75, of Wills Point, formerly of Powderly, died Thursday, July 29, 2004, in a Dallas hospital.
Memorial services are set for 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point with the Rev. Billy Cooper and the Rev. Bob Seale officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at Red Hill cemetery in Powderly under the direction of Allen Fuller Funeral Home in Wills Point.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
She was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Roxton, the daughter of William Grady Ellis and Alice Bell Click Ellis. She graduated from Roxton High School and a nurse’s training school in Paris. She worked at Lamar Medical Center, Sanitarium of Paris, Clarksville Street Clinic and Home Health while still living in Paris. On April 9, 1957, she married
William Joel “Billy Joe” Coward, and they made their home in Powderly until they moved to Lake Tawakoni in 1974. She was a home health care provider until her health forced her to retire in 1996. She was a member of Lake Tawakoni Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Marshall Ellis, Hershell Ellis, J.W. “Jones” Ellis, W.G. “Dub” Ellis and Dellous “Spud” Ellis; and one grandson.
Survivors include a son, Rusty Coward and wife, Carol, of Blossom; two daughters, Lynette “Cootsie” McLeland and husband, Danny, of Wills Point and Michaella Bumgarner and husband, Bobby, of Powderly; a stepson, Joe Coward and wife, Andra, of Terrell; seven grandchildren, Bryan “B.J.” Bumgarner, Robin Stephenson, Heather Coward, J.B. Coward, Cody Coward, Jennifer Coward and Eddie Coward; four sisters-in-law, Eris Ellis, Johnny Bell Conder, Dorothy Addy and Tommie Borroum; along with numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

Sheila F. Wallin
Sheila F. Wallin, 73, of Powderly died Friday, July 30, 2004, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 3, at Church of the Holy Cross-Episcopal with burial at 3 p.m. at Grove Hill cemetery in Dallas with Father Wylie Miller and Dallas Fire Department Chaplain Danny Burns officiating.
There will be no formal visitation hour observed.

She was born March 14, 1931, in Sheffield, Yorkshire County, England, to William Anderson and Bessie Shaw Forteith. She graduated from Bathley Schools and attended Michigan State University and Toronto University. She was the executive secretary for the City of Dallas Employees Credit Union and the Texas Credit Union League in Dallas prior to retiring and moving to the Paris area. She married
Fred Wallin on Oct. 4, 1952, in Dallas and was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sylvia Wallin.
Survivors include her husband, Fred, of Powderly; a brother and sister-in-law, James Drace and Mary Louise Forteith of Dallas; one niece; and one nephew.

Lesa Gayle Simpson
Lesa Gayle Simpson, 41, of Paris died Saturday, July 17, 2004, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, at Lake Madison Clubhouse in Madisonville.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1962, in Houston, the daughter of Roy and Chiquita Ann Tisdel-Taylor.
She married
Rickey Simpson on March 2, 2004, in Paris and was a loving homemaker.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Kandi Cox and Jessica Simpson; a son, Casey Simpson; her mother, Chiquita Fittleo; her father, Roy Taylor; her grandmother, Ruby Mae McBride; sisters, Letha Ann Hebert and Jennifer McCorquodale; one expected grandchild; her mother-in-law, Synthia Simpson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
