Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, in Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ray Evers officiating. Interment follows in Mount Tabor cemetery under the direction of Gene Roden’s Sons Funeral Home.

He was born Nov. 11, 1981, in Paris, the son of Dennis and Natalie Capell Watson. He was a graduate of Prairiland High School and held several jobs in food service.
He is survived by his wife, Gina Croy Watson of Blossom; mother, Natalie Frazier and husband, Terry, of Blossom; sons, Jared Wade, Kade Matthew and Alexander Lee Watson; daughter, Elexus Jade Watson; brothers, William Erik Conder, Nolan Matthew Watson and Robert Paul Watson; and sisters, Kelly Taylor and Angela Jackson.

Dr. Ronald Watson Prince
TYLER — Dr. Ronald Watson Prince, 82, of Tyler passed away Saturday, Jan. 15, 2005, in Tyler.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Lloyd James Funeral Chapel in Tyler with Dr. Michael M. Massar and the Rev. B. C. McCoy officiating. Kate Belle Guest
BOGATA — Kate Belle Guest, 100, formerly of Detroit, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, in Red River Healthcare Center in Bogata.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23, at Red River Healthcare Center in Bogata with the Rev. Bill Draper officiating. Burial follows in Detroit cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home of Bogata.
She was born Oct. 12, 1904, in Red River County near Rugby. She was the daughter of James E. and Mary Lula Brown Daniel. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Detroit. She married
Alford Glenn Guest on June 10, 1933. He died Dec. 22, 1973.
She leaves no immediate survivors.
Betty Griffin
DEPORT — Betty Griffin, 79, of Savoy, formerly of Paris, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Mullican-Little Care Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, in Wood Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Larry Hood officiating. Burial follows at Bogata cemetery. Wood Funeral Homes have charge of the arrangements.

She was born April 28, 1925, in Wales, Great Britain. On June 2, 1945, she married
Boyd Wayne Griffin in Norwood Green, England. He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2001. She was a member of Calvary Methodist Church in Paris.
She is survived by her children, Marc Griffin and wife, Hilda, of Terrell, Stephanie Monday of Paris and Suzanne Border of Dallas; six grandchildren, Christopher Monday, Dana Keys, Kelly Wilson, Geoffrey Border, Aleck Griffin and Russell Griffin; four great-grandchildren, Jordan Griffin, Michael Griffin, Emily Monday and Kyleigh Monday; one brother, John Atwood of Worcester, England; and several nieces and nephews.
Joe Bob Coats
BOGATA — Joe Bob Coats, 72, of Mingus, formerly of Johntown, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at Eastland Memorial Hospital in Eastland.
Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, in Johntown Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Turpin officiating. Interment follows at Boxelder cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

He was born Oct. 11, 1932, in Boxelder, the son of Alford Moreland and Vean Agnes Wallace Coats. He was a retired commercial painter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Prudy White and Lucille Wright; two step sons, Paul Clayton and Johnny Ray Clayton.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Coats of Mingus; four sons, Glen Coats and wife, Dianne, of Wylie, Randy Coats and wife, Judy, of Mesquite, Eddie Coats of Wylie and Gary Coats of Quitman; one step-daughter, Anita McFadden of Arlington; three sisters, Ava Rogers of Georgia and Doris Hervey and Lavern Thomas, both of Bogata; six grandsons; one granddaughter; and three great grandsons.
Jean Diggs
Jean Diggs, 74, of Abilene, formerly of Paris, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at Windcrest Center in Abilene.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Burial follows in Meadowbrook Gardens.
She was born Jan. 4, 1931, in Lamar County. She graduated from Central High School and married
Gordon Earl Diggs on Oct. 8, 1948, in Albuquerque, N.M. She was a member of East Paris Baptist Church. She participated in many shows and exhibitions with her ceramics and was an excellent seamstress, having made draperies.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 30, 1991; and her mother, Alma Tharp Weeks.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Diggs of Richardson and Jina Strohl and husband, Don, of Abilene; nine grandchildren; a great aunt, Geraldine Cole of Clovis, N.M.; along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Louis “Lou” Montanio
HONEY GROVE — Louis “Lou” Montanio, 74, of Honey Grove died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, in Fannin County.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday in Cooper-Sorrells Chapel. Burial follows in Oakwood cemetery under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
A Catholic visual is at 6 p.m. and the family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 6, 1930, in San Antonio, the son of Anthony J. Montanio and Velma P. Roege. He married
Linda Faye Burton on April 29, 1978, in Fort Worth. He attended and graduated from Notre Dame University with a degree in electrical engineering. He also served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. After his service, he went to work for General Dynamics in Fort Worth. He then transferred to the electronics division of San Diego. After his retirement in 1993, he and his family moved to Honey Grove where he enjoyed his retirement, tending his cattle and working crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Montanio of the home; children, Asheligh Montanio and Solon Montanio of the home, Paula and Dennis Lee of Houston, Teresa Montanio and Pat Bosworht of Omaha, Neb., Michael and Beth Montanio of Omaha, Debbie and Tom Perry of Las Vegas, Nev. and Mary Frances and Larry Valentine of Omaha; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Solon Montanio, Cory Green, Curtis Yates, Stan Yates, Justin Burton, Brent Lane and Patrick Thompson.
Honorary pallbearers are Leonard Burton, Jay Burton, Emmitt Burton, Roger Yates, B.W. Matthews, Larry Hodin and Hector Smith.
Margaret M. Kee
Margaret M. Kee, 71, of Paris passed away Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, in Heritage Care Center.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with the Rev. Othoe Stegall and the Rev. Doug Holt officiating. Burial follows in Evergreen cemetery.

She was born April 24, 1933, in Glory, a daughter of Arthur T. and Annie Laura Nolan Tucker. She was a member of Paris Church of God. She married
Billy O. Kee on Dec. 10, 1949, in Texarkana, Ark.
She was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Odell Kee in October of 1983; her parents; a sister, Alice Ruthart; and three brothers, J.E. Tucker, Norman Tucker and Odell Tucker.
Survivors include her spouse, Billy Kee of Paris; a daughter, Margaret Janell Kee of Muskogee, Okla.; four grandchildren, Angela McKnight and husband, Robert, of Powderly, Teresa Jackson and husband, David, of Paris, Brandy Heinrichs of Muskogee, and Darrell Heinrichs and wife, Ginger, of Powderly; nine great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jerrica and Jay McKnight, Taylor and Dylan Jackson, Justice Heinrichs, Kaleb, Kylie and Kyler Heinrichs; sisters, Wanda Nicholson and husband, Alvin, of Paris, and Mozell Martin and husband, Virgel, of Longview; brother, Arthur T. Tucker Jr. and wife, Mary, of Powderly; brothers-in-law, Fred Kee and wife, Nellie, and Jack Kee; along with several nieces and nephews.

Sylvia Juanita Carr
BOGATA — Sylvia Juanita Carr, 74, of Bogata died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, in Regency Nursing Center in Clarksville.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, in Rosalie United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Yost officiating. Burial follows in Bogata cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
She was born May 20, 1930, in Red River County, the daughter of Herbert Lee and Mildred Rector White. She married
Herbert Carr Sept. 6, 1949, in Bogata. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1988. She was a member of Rosalie United Methodist Church and worked for Southwestern Bell telephone company as an operator for 18 years.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Elaine Carr, May 31, 1983.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Carr of Garland; a son, Steven Carr of Bogata; two sisters, Janell Johnson of Clarksville and Patricia Singer of Deming, N.M.; and a brother, R.T. White of Chico.
