Irene Moore McCullough
CLARKSVILLE - Irene Moore McCullough of Avery died Friday, May 19, 2000, in Village Manor Nursing Home.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be held Sunday, May 21, in First Baptist Church of Avery. Burial will be in Avery cemetery under direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Avery cemetery in care of Valarie Presley.
Mrs. McCullough was born in Red River County, a daughter of Walter and Allie Upchurch Moore. She was active in the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters Margaret Hervey of Dallas, Jane Herring of Quitman, June Whisler of Charlotte, N.C. and Sue McCullough Craig of Dallas; a sister, Mildred Tadlock of Dallas; a brother-in-law, G. G. McCullough of Avery; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mildred McCleary Blair
HONEY GROVE - Mildred McCleary Blair, 90, of Windom, died Friday, May 19, 2000, in Christus St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris.
She was born May 4, 1910, to Lewis McCleary and Maggie Mae Baldridge. She married
Alfred William Blair in 1934 in Hugo. She was a homemaker.
Graveside services were held Saturday in Oakwood cemetery, with the Rev. Terry Paul Cunningham officiating. Burial was under direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat Szalay of Rockwall; three grandchildren, Steve Eaton of Greenville, Debbie Wright of Windom and Kelly Whitman of Honey Grove; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
She was a member of the McKenzie United Methodist Church of Honey Grove.
Christene E. Perry
HONEY GROVE - Christene E. Perry, 89, of Windom, died Friday, May 19, 2000, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris.
She was born Nov. 7, 1910, in Windom, a daughter of G. W. "Dutch" Woodard and Corrie Rogers.
She married
Newman T. Perry Oct. 12, 1928 in Windom. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 22, in Windom Baptist Church. Burial will be in Windom cemetery under direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
She was a member of the Windom Baptist Church, the Windom Book Club and the Fannin County Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Helen and W. M. Butler of Morton; a son and daughter-in-law, Roy Newman and Doris Perry of Fort Worth; a sister, Willie G. Dawson of Pecan Gap; a brother, Joe Weldon Woodard of Henderson; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Rev. William "Bill" Hazlewood
MARTIN, Tenn. - The Rev. William "Bill" Hazlewood, 69, a former Paris minister, died Thursday, May 18, 2000, in Claiborne County Hospital in Martin, Tenn.
He pastored Springlake in Paris, then went on to pastor East Branerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga. He also was a former director of missions for the Cumberland Gap Association.
Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Pump Springs Baptist Church. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Tennessee Veterans State cemetery in Knoxville with military honors by Volunteer State Honor Guard.
Eunice C. Sansing
COOPER - Eunice C. Sansing, 82, died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at her home in Hoard, Texas, where she had lived the past 16 years.
She previously had lived in Delta and Hunt County most of her life.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel in Cooper, with the Rev. Craig Lacey of Lake Country Bible Church, officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn cemetery in Cooper under direction of Delta Funeral Home.
She was born July 28, 1917, in Delta County, a daughter of Jim and Ellie (Burnett) Little. She was a member of Lake Country Bible Church in Mineola and a homemaker.
She married
Delmar L. Sansing Dec. 12, 1936.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include her husband, Delmar L. Sansing of Hoard; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dene Sansing of Hoard; two brothers, Clarence Little of Dallas and Jennings Little of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
Angie Smith, 84, of Deport, died Saturday, May 20, 2000. Arrangements are pending with Wood Funeral Home in Deport.
Susie Norwood
DEPEORT - Susie Norwood, 52, of Cunningham died Thursday, May 18, 2000, in McCuistion Regional Medical Center.
Wood Funeral Home will conduct services at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Life Tabernacle Church, Cunningham. Burial will be in Restland cemetery. The family will have visitation at the church beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Norwood was born July 21, 1947, in Knox City, Texas, to Melvon and Dorothy Maddux Stephens. She married
Talma Norwood May 13, 1989. She was a member of Life Tabernacle Church.
Surviving are her husband; her parents, Mel and Dot Stephens of Deport; a son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Missy Ingram of Cunningham; a daughter and son-in-law, Teri and Waymon Creamer of Paris; a sister and her husband, Laurie and Danny Christian of Georgetown; one brother and his wife, Alan and Debbie Stephens of Lynton Springs; grandchildren, Casey and Colton Ingram and Jarid and Justin Lyles, all of Cunningham, and Tyler and Cameron Creamer of Paris; four brothers-in-law and their wives, Darold Dean and Ida Mae Norwood, Carnard and Delores Norwood, James Doyle and Pat Norwood, all of Cunningham, and Danny and Sharon Norwood of the Rockford community; two sisters-in-law, Cindi Nichols and her husband, Charles and Geneva Norwood, all of Cunningham; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jo Nell Amos
BOGATA - Jo Nell Amos, 65, of Bogata died Thursday, May 18, 2000, in Titus County Memorial Hospital.
Wood Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 6:30 p.m. Friday, May 19, in Turner cemetery in Fulbright. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 5:30 p.m.
She was born in Washington, Ark. Oct. 30, 1934, to Lynn Edward and Bertha Wolfe Norwood. She married
Arthur Amos in 1973.
Surviving are her husband; a sister, Mary Crouch of Rowlett, a daughter, May Amos of Bogata; three sons, Ricky Doyle Walker of Austin. Larry Hayden Walker and Ronnie Lynn Walker of Paris; five granddaughters; three grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
Ruby Aldridge
BOGATA - Ruby Aldridge, 66, of Mount Vernon, formerly of Bogata, died there Thursday, May 18, 2000, in East Texas Medical Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, under the pavilion of Bogata Cemtery with the Rev. A.J. Hightower officiating. Wood Funeral Home will make burial in Bogata cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Aldridge was born Aug. 12, 1911, in Como to G.W. and Ettie Younger Ring. She married
Coy Aldridge July 29, 1933, in Hugo, Okla. He died April 14, 1984. Surviving are a brother, George C. Ring and his wife Ruth of Fort Worth; a sister-in-law, Bea Ring of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, James Coy Aldridge; two sisters, and three brothers. Nephews will be pallbearers.
Lelia Lucille King
CLARKSVILLE - Lelia Lucille King, 95, of Clarksville died Thursday, May 18, 2000, at East Texas Medical Center, Clarksville.
Clarksville Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Fairview cemetery with the Rev. James Brown officiating.
She was born Nov. 21, 1904, in Clarksville to Spot and Bell Griogsby. She was a former treasurer of Red River County. She was preceded in death by her hsuband, Seth King.
Surviving are special friends, J.R. and Glenis Lewis of Clarksville.
