Betty Sue Nelson, 65, of Paris died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, at West Post Oak cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Ellis officiating. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1934, in Oakman, Ala., to Willie and Christine Blanton Lollar. She married
Bill Nelson Dec. 12, 1951. They moved to Paris in the 1960s and ran BNC Shoe Store. Her husband died Feb. 23, 1994.
Surviving are four children, Jerry Nelson and wife Lisa of Paris, Debra Garner and husband Roger of Paris, Laura Robbins and husband Bryant of Wills Point, and Mark Nelson of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Larry Lollar and wife Charlotte of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and Roger Lollar and wife Elsie of Oakman, Ala.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Roy Nelson and wife Luci; and a sister-in-law, Bonnie Hudson and husband James, all of Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jerrod Nelson.
Pallbearers will be Roger Garner, Garry Gentry, Rickey Nelson, Rick Coplin, Jerry Hendrix, and Chris Shurtleff.
Evelyn R. Ables
Evelyn R. Ables, 83, of Paris died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 1, in Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Fortenberry and Dr. Tim Parker officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 3, 1917, in the Howland community to T.V. and Myrtle May McFadden Roberts. She was a graduate of Howland schools and a lifetime member of Howland Baptist Church. A former employee of McCuistion Regional Medical Center, she was a longtime member of the McCuistion Auxiliary and Order of the Eastern Star.
She married
Aaron Arvil Ables Feb. 8, 1941, in Oklahoma. He died Oct. 22, 1968.
Surviving are two sons. Thomas A. Ables and wife Regina, Bobby Don Ables and wife Sandra, all of Paris, a daughter, Joan Ables Hickman and husband Donald of Salisbury, Mo.' six grandchildren, Maryann Hickman Rustemeyer and husband Mike, Brenda Hickman Nicolay and husband Mike of Salisbury, Mo., Bret Aaron Ables of Paris, Millicent Elaine Ables of Kansas City. Kan., Morgan Ables and Alexandria Ables, both of Paris; five great -grandchildren, Jordan Rustemeyer, McKay Rustemeyer, Cassandra Nicolay, Hannah Nicolay, and Aaron Ables; a brother, T.V. Roberts and wife Bobbye of Paris, and nephews Thomas Perry and wife Annie of Sulphur Springs; David Roberts and wife Janet of Sugarland, Doug Roberts and wife Cindy of Dallas; a sister-in-law, Sally Roberts and her daughters Susan and Sarah; a special granddaughter-in-law, Trava Ables of Paris; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Roberts, in 1988, and a sister, Annys Perry, in 1994.
Margaret Mary Spencer
Margaret Mary Spencer, 89, of Paris died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Deport Nursing Home.

She was born Oct. 16, 1910, in laredo to C.J. and Theresa Jacobs Schelper. She married
Felton C. "Willie" Spencer in 1950. He died Jan. 3, 1989. She was a wife, mother, homemaker and bookkeeper for L.O. Hammons Men's Store in Paris for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Regina Harris, Rt. 6, Paris, and Peggy White of Powderly; one son, Homer C. Spencer of Paris; five grandchildren, David Grant Harris Jr. of Paris, Markus Spencer Harris of Newmanstown, Pa., Danielle Marie Harris of San Jose, Calif., Chuck McMellon of Powderly and Michial McMellon of Chicota; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, C.J. McMelon, Mike McMellon, David Grant Harris Jr., Markus Spencer Harris, Chuck McMellon and Michial McMellon.

Ella Lorene Barron Majors
Ella Lorene Barron Majors, 95, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000 at her home.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Smith and Jeff Christian officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Vernon city cemetery. Carl Mac Coker, Jimmy Clifford, Roy Moody Welch, Tommy Duncan, L.V. Morrow, Sam Smith, James Hutchison, Joel Casey and Dub Bassett will serve as pallbearers. Family will receive friends from 4:30-6:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Majors was born Dec. 5, 1904 in Mount Vernon to Benjamin Norman Barron and Lucy Leona Beall. She married
Carl Elbert Majors on April 5, 1924. As a young couple, they moved from Mount Vernon to Dallas where her husband was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. In 1928, when their two young daughters were two and four, the family transferred to Paris. They chose to remain in Paris until the girls were ready to enroll in the University of Texas when the family transferred with the company to Austin. They remained in Austin until they retired to their farm home in Mount Vernon. In 1982 they moved back to Paris to be near one of their daughters.
She is a past worthy Matron of the Mount Vernon Order of the Eastern Star, chapter 956, as well as a former member of First Baptist Church of Paris and was currently a member of Springlake Baptist Church of Paris. She was an outstanding Sunday school teacher and director of vacation Bible school. She won many awards as a member of the Mount Vernon Garden Club and was an active member of the Paris Garden Club until her sight failed. She was an impeccable seamstress with outstanding tailoring skills. She was the consummate wife, mother and homemaker. Her younger brothers and sisters were especially dear to her because she was responsible for helping with their upbringing. She was an ardent reader with an exceptional vocabulary. She was always willing to share her charming home as a gracious hostess. Some of her younger brothers lived with them from time to time and also many other young people needing a place to live or to attend college.
Her love of God was evidenced in her daily living and by instilling Christian principles in family members and in the lives of the many people she touched in her journey.
She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Ruth Majors Coker and son-in-law J.C. "Jake" Coker of Paris; grandson, Larry Waldron of Seymour, Mont.; three granddaughters, Mandy Lo Waldron Venable of Shreveport, La., Vicki Coker Banister of Paris and Lucy Coker McDonald of Greenwood, Ark.; four great-grandsons, Michael McDonald, Jason McDonald, Phillip Banister and Jack Coker Banister; three great-granddaughters, Lee Arica Wills, Amber Venable and Shandi Banister; one sister, Lucy Ruth Barron Huggins of Midland; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 30, 1990; daughter, Pauline "Polly" Majors Waldron on Jan. 15, 1994; son-in-law Lloyd O. Waldron Jr.; grandson-in-law, Michael Todd McDonald on Feb. 22, 1999; six brothers, Charles Lee Barron, Benjamin Arthur Barron, Lloyd George Barron, Louie Norman Barron, Robert Jesse "Jake" Barron and William Edwin Barron; and two sisters, Catherine Barron Wingo and Alice Barron Monroe.
Elizabeth Ross King Egloff
CLARKSVILLE - Elizabeth Ross King Egloff, 75, formerly of Clarksville died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
Private graveside services will be held today with the Rev. Russell S. Floyd officiating. Family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. today at Clarksville Funeral Home.
Egloff was born Oct. 31, 1924 in Clarksville to Ross and Marguerite Morrison King. She was a homemaker and member of the Methodist church.
She is survived by her husband, Jack Egloff of Dallas; daughter, Ellen Johnston of Carrolton; brothers, George M. King of Houston and James E. King of Dallas; and one grandson, Mason Johnston.
Malcolm Derrell "Buster" Crockett
HONEY GROVE - Malcolm Derrell "Buster" Crockett, 64, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000 at the home of his sister.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Honey Grove.
Crockett was born June 20, 1935 in Pattonville. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Crockett; two grandsons, Dustin Crockett and Steven Caudillo; and one brother, Wilburn Crockett all of California; three sisters, Rachel Holmes of Honey Grove, Mary Jordan and Thelma Meuir of Paris; and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Maryhelen Ingram, 66, of Paris died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000 at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services are pending with Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.
Brandon "Junior" Adcock
Brandon "Junior" Adcock, 73, of Paris died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home conducted graveside services at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Evergreen cemetery with the Rev. Lorenzo Johns officiating.
He was born May 25, 1926, in Paris to B.A. and Myrtle Guillot Adcock. He cleaned windows for merchants in downtown Paris for many years and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Surviving are several cousins and many friends.
Clara Mae Humphrey
CLARKSVILLE - Clara Mae Humphrey, 59, of Clarksville died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at Baylor Medical Center, Dallas.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with Dr. Ted Ricks, the Rev. Eddie Slaton and the Rev. Robert Hutchison officiating. Burial will be in Lone Star cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Surviving are her husband, Glenn; sons, Michael Sass of Grand Prairie, Mark Sass of Fort Huachuca, Ariz., and Tracy Tipple of Fort Hood; daughters, Kandie Isom of Raleigh, N.C., Wanda Sue Thomas of New Boston and Krissy Adair of Yantis; a sister, Patty Johnson of Sidney, Ohio; brothers, Glenn Moon of Clarksville, Jim Moon of Topeka, Kan., Bob Moon of Roswell, N.M., and Victor Beltz of Topeka; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
