BOGATA - Fannie Mae Eudy, 88, of Bogata died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, in Presbyterian Hospital of Winnsboro.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27, in Cuthand Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Cuthand cemetery by Wood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 1, 1911, in Red River County to William and Martha Evelyn Lumpkin. After her first husband, Floyd Lemmons, died she married
Gaylon Eudy Dec. 9, 1933, in Cuthand. He died Dec. 22, 1989. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons.
Surviving are a son, Richard Eudy of Bogata; two adopted grandchildren she reared, Rex Wade Smith and Carol Cooper of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of great-greatgrandchildren.

Kenneth Dean Butler, 37, of Pottsboro died Wednesday, Feb. 23, in Palestine.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Cunningham-Beasley Chapel in Sheman with burial in Locust cemetery, Pottsboro.
Surviving are his father, Billy Lloyd Butler Sr. of Pottsboro; his mother and stepfather, Linda Carroll and Newt Freelen of Blossom; grandfather, Paul Moss of Bonham. grandfather, Paul Moss; son, Matthew Butler and daughter, Tasha Butler, both of Sulphur Springs; sisters, Sandy Sales of Whitesboro and Judy Massey of Cleburne; and brothers, Billy Butler of Pottsboro and Daryl Butler of Sulphur Springs.
Elvis Sandford Mullins
Elvis Sandford Mullins, 92, of Pickton died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at Winnsboro Nursing Center.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 24, in Lindeman Chapel of Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. A.B. Kellam officiating. Burial was in Tuggle Springs cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma Jones Mullins, daughters, Lillie Ola Shelby of Edgewood and Martha Ellen Mabry of Arlington; a sister, Goldie Pilar of Dallas, four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Curtis Lee Miles
Curtis Lee Miles, 81, of Paris died at 6:55 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Parkview Convalescent Center.
Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, in Detroit cemetery with Don Shovan officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1919, in Crossett, Ark., to Jess Murphy and Minnie Joe Lee Hedge Miles. He served in the Army during World War II and married
Allie Fowler Sept. 1, 1940, in Nocona. She died March 13, 1993. He was a certified public accountant for Bortunco in Houston for many years.
Surviving are three grandchildren, Polly Sue Smith and Bobby Serres of Detroit and Gabriel Miles of California; six great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Billie Miles of Big Spring, Sue McDonald of Austin and Dorothy Cooper of Ropesville; two brothers-in-law, Bubby Fowler and wife Jessie of Ponca City, Okla., and Bill Fowler and wife Jean of San Antonio. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Miles, and a daughter, Barbara Serres.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Collier, Earl Carpenter, Bobby Serres, David Smith, Gabriel Miles, and Charles Remsberg.

Betty L. Charles
Betty L. Charles, 68, of Paris, died Saturday, June 3, 2000, at the family residence.
She was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Honey Grove, a daughter of C. A. and Lula Campbell Cooper.
She was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and had taught a Sunday School Class for 3-year-olds for 35 years at First Baptist Church She also was a member of the Tuesday Bridge Club, 2nd Thursday Couples Bridge Club and was chairman of the Ballknockers Golf Club.
She was a housewife, had been a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and worked in the credit department for Sears.
She married
Mackey Charles Dec. 8, 1950, in Honey Grove. He survives.
Mrs. Charles also is survived by a daughter, Penny R. Davis and husband Roger of Houston; granddaughter, Michaela Madison Davis; and a sister, Minnie Bell Hargrove of Grants Pass, Ore.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, in the Calvary United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gifford Long and the Rev. Beverly Olsen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery, with Billy J. Kennedy, Curtis Meier, Keith McKee, Jerry DeBin, Richard Margraves and Billy Winters serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Shelton, John Good, Verlin Stewart, Bobby Pratt, Gilbert Terry and Robert Pierson.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Sunday at the Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home.

Joyce Jackson
COOPER - Joyce Jackson of Cooper died Friday, June 2, 2000, at Vencor Hospital in Dallas.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 5, at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Chad Barnes officiating. Burial will be in New Klondike cemetery.
She was born July 17, 1941, in Cooper. She was the daughter of George W. Little and Ardath Davis Little. She married
James Jackson June 17, 1960. She was a retired health care professional.
Survivors include her husband of Cooper; her mother, Ardath Little of Sulphur Springs; a daughter, Donna Rich of Cooper, and a sister, Shirley Foster of Palestine.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Delta Funeral Home.
Leo C. Despres
BOGATA - Leo C. Despres, 75, of Bogata, died Friday, June 2, 2000, in Shreveport, La.
Graveside sevices will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 5, at Meadowbrook Gardens in Paris under direction of Wood Funeral Home. Father Anthony Alphonse will officiate.
Mr. Despres was born Oct. 18, 1924, in Lawrence, Mass. He was a son of Leo A. and Florence Despres.
He retired in 1968 from the Los Angeles Police Department, where he worked as a policeman 21 years. He then went into the building and construction business, moving to Bogata 25 years ago.
He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy and was a longtime member of Paris Elks Club. His first wife, Lucy Peterson, died in January 1975. He then married
Rose Bauer.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Kent Despres of Lake Havasu City, Ariz; two daughters, Marilyn Thayer of Virginia Beach, Va. and Karen Wittmaack of Lake Havasu City; four brothers, Raymond Despres of Massachusetts, Eddie Despres of Florida and George Despres of New Hampshire; a sister, Rita Hall of Florida and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Named as honorary pallbearers are Jack Crane, Howard Bryson, Ed Huddleston, Bill Buckman, Stan Wood and Bob Kelly.

Clifford Clark
NELTA - Funeral services for Clifford Clark, 85, of the Nelta Community, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2000, in West Oaks Funeral Chapel with Malcomb King officiating.
Burial will be in the Nelta cemetery under direction of West Oaks Funeral Home, Inc. Masonic Graveside services will be held under the auspices of Sulphur Bluff Masonic Lodge 246 AF&AM.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Mr. Clark died at his residence Friday, June 2.
He was born in the Fabice (Oak Dale) community of Hopkins County July 13, 1914. He was the son of Albert Carr and Fannie Marie Lynch Clark.
He was a lifelong resident of Hopkins County and was a retired supervisor with Cannon Craft Manufacturing prior to his retirement in 1976.
He was a longtime member of the Nelta Church of Christ and a member of the Masonic Lodge 246. He was a 50-year mason.
He married
Susie Verda Hargrave in the Nelta Community Feb. 9, 1934. She preceded him in death Aug. 26, 1995.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Al and Cornice Clark of Paris; a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Gary Stevens of Nelta Community; a sister, Eva Brietha of Maui, Hawaii; four grandchildren, Julie Rodgers, Steve Clark, Pam Hope and Laura Van Bibber; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roy Herman Jr., Ellery Johnson, Ben Hargrave, Mike Flippin, Russell Van Bibber and Steve Clark.
