Sheek died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born March 6, 1921, in Idalou. He was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church. He was a farmer, and he served as the Pettit Postmaster for 20 years. He was a member of the Levelland Masonic Lodge 1236 AF&AM;, and he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a 4-H leader for many years. He married
Ruth Sanders on Feb. 6, 1946, in Pettit. A son, Billy Sheek, died March 16, 1981.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ricky of Levelland and Eddie of Apache Junction, Ariz.; a daughter, Linda Arthur of Morton; a brother, Wayne of Dixon, Mo.; a sister, Mozelle Durrett of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to a favorite charity or a church of choice.

PLAINVIEW - Graveside services for Eunice Stanfield Patrick, 89, of Rogers, Ark., will be at 2 p.m. today in Plainview Memorial Park with the Rev. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.

She died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, in Kellmark Specialized Centre in Rogers.
She was born May 9, 1909, in O'Brien. She married
Raymon O. Patrick on Aug. 12, 1972, in Plainview. He died Feb. 14, 1997. She was a bookkeeper and a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Plainview.
Survivors include three nieces.

She died Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at Covenant Health Care in Lubbock.
She was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Sharp. She married
Solomon Bunton Sr. in June 1932, in Sharp. He preceded her in death in November 1963. She owned and operated Bunton's Grocery Market for 42 years.
Survivors include three sons, Solomon Bunton II, Bobby Ray Bunton and Danny M. Bunton, all of Lubbock; three daughters, Mary Thomas, Julia Cameron-Younger and Wanda Jones, all of Lubbock; three brothers, Robert Phillips of Dallas, Hoyle Phillips and Otis Phyllips, both of Lubbock; a sister, Jean Rogers of Midwest City, Okla.; 23 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
Faye Butler
Services for Faye Vernell Butler, 70, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Abbey Chapel of Resthaven.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
She died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at her residence.
She was born July 1, 1928, in Crosbyton. She married
Douglas Franklin Butler on Jan. 19, 1949, in Canyon. She retired from Texas Instruments in 1990 and was a member of the American Legion's Ladies Auxiliary, Post 575.
Survivors include her husband, Doug Butler; two sons, Jack Butler of Lubbock and John Butler of Norman, Okla.; a brother, Johnny Barns of Longbeach, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

She was born Oct. 1, 1932, in Jacksonville. She moved to Levelland in 1950. She was a clerk for C.R. Anthony Co. for many years. She married
Jack Thomas Cooper in 1950. He preceded her in death in 1976. She later married
David Bell on March 23, 1991. She was a member of Cactus Drive Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jimmie Wayne Cooper and Jack DeWayne Cooper, both of Centerville; two stepsons, Jack Bell of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Gerald Bell of Sacramento, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Joyce Hall of Seattle, Wash.; four brothers, Troy Tindel of Commerce, James Tindel and Benny Tindel, both of Levelland, and Johnny Tindel of Jefferson City, Tenn.; four sisters, Leasy Jo Rinaldi and Paula Snider, both of Lubbock, Opal Cooper of Levelland and Connie Schultz of Dallas; and nine grandchildren.

Norman Stroup on June 30, 1928, in Mikeover, Ark. He died in August 1975. She moved to Texas in 1928. She moved to Plains from Lake LBJ in 1975. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Carl of Plains; a daughter, Patricia Moody of Brookeland; a brother, Clayton Fitty of Rosenburg; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Gerald McKinzie

He was born Nov. 12, 1942, in Brownwood. He married
Carolyn Taylor on Aug. 4, 1961, in Seagraves. He attended school in Seagraves. He moved to Brownfield in 1972. He was a service specialist with Energas Co. for 32 years, retiring in 1998. He was a deacon with Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Brenda Cypert of Meadow; a son, Shane of Plains; a brother, Woody of Seagraves; a sister, Barbara Chidester of Brownfield; and eight grandchildren.
Mickey Monk

He died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at his home.
He was born June 9, 1934, in Jayton.
He married
Eveline Ingrid Alt on Sept. 19, 1996, in Abilene.
He was a 1951 graduate of Seagraves High School. He joined the Army in 1956 and served with the combat surveillance company.
He was a pilot for Baron Aviation Co., for which he flew Federal Express contracts. He was a member of the Federal Aviation Administration's airman certification branch in Oklahoma City. He was a commercial flight instructor for single-engine airplanes.
He moved from Destin, Fla., to Abilene in 1996.
Survivors include his wife; six sons, Timothy Monk of Arlington, David Monk of Fort Worth, Samuel Monk of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Johnny Johnson, Ronnie Johnson and Donnie Johnson, all of Navarre, Fla.; two daughters, Beverly K. Cohea of Spring and Cindy J. Larussa of Arlington; a brother, Tom Monk of Sun City, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today.

Rickey Hodges

Hodges died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, in University Medical Center.
He was born July 17, 1946, in Dallas. He attended Baylor and Texas Tech. He was a substitute teacher in Lubbock. He was a retired U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include his mother, Melba Blanch Hodges; a daughter, Angela Hodges Northrup of Fort Worth; a son, Lance of Fort Worth; five brothers, Pat, Don, Larry and Jimmy, all of Lubbock, and Perry "Tony" of Houston; and two sisters, Rita Diane Job of Lubbock and Melba Lynn Lester of Lubbock.

Berryhill died Thursday, April 8, 1999, in M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
He was born Nov. 1, 1933, in Muskogee, Okla. He married
Betty Appleton on Aug. 2, 1952, in Lovington, N.M. He graduated from Odessa High School. He attended OC Business School.
He worked in sales, and he was owner and operator of Berryhill Clothing, American Sales and Service, Texas Mudd and Chemical and the Auto Station.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jamie and Mark, both of Odessa; a daughter, Nancy Halfacre of Odessa; and 10 grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, to the Hospitality Apartment in Houston or to Sunset School of Preaching in Lubbock.
