Graveside services for Bill Stephens, 70, of Shallowater will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park with the Rev. Dale Sexton. officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000, in University Medical Center.
He was born June 25, 1929, in Eli. He moved to Shallowater in 1976, from Lubbock. He married
Jean Casteel on Aug. 26, 1951, in Hall County. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Sprinklers Fitters Union No. 669 for 45 years. He was also a musician, playing guitar for several local bands. He was a Baptist. He worked for Falcon Sprinklers from 1954 to 1991, as a sprinkler fitter.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Tammy Dickerson of Shallowater; three brothers, K.O. of Royse City, Jim Sexton of Arlington, Va., and the Rev. Dale Sexton of Childress; and two grandchildren.
Paul Smith
BOVINA - Services for Paul C. Smith, 72, of Amarillo will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Mission Park Funeral Chapels North in San Antonio.
Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Bovina cemetery in Bovina under the direction of Mission Park North Funeral Home of San Antonio.
He died Monday, May 8, 2000.
He was born March 4, 1928, in Medicine Lodge, Kan. He served in the armed forces and earned his bachelor's degree from Texas Tech and his degree in Law from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a member of the San Antonio Conservation Society and the San Antonio Garden Club.
Survivors include a sister, Donna Malcom of Tulia; and a brother, Neil Smith of Clarkston, Mich.
Dorothy Griffin
PARIS - Graveside services for Dorothy Fay Marcum Griffin, 79, of Paris will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Evergreen cemetery in Paris with the Rev. Julie Halstead, of Paris, and the Rev. Don Griffin, of Jones, Okla., officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home.
She died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at her home.
She was born Aug. 1, 1919, in Deport. She attended school in Red River County. She married
E. Jerrell Griffin on Sept. 26, 1953, in Deport. She was a member of Oak Park United Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and a former member of Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Gail Jones of Crosbyton; a son, James Rickey Exum of Pecos; a sister, Mary Westbrook of Virginia Beach, Va.; and four grandchildren.

Hazel Dodson
Services for Hazel Dodson, 81, of Lubbock will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Resthaven's Abbey Chapel with Truman Johnson, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, May 9, 2000, at Lakeridge Rehabilitation Center.
She was born July 11, 1918, in Padgett. She married
Freeman Johnson on Nov. 28, 1936, in Hollis, Okla. She worked for Furr's Cafeteria for 25 years, retiring in 1988.
Survivors include three sons, Coy of Wilmington, Del., Donald of Lubbock, and Marvin of Burleson; two daughters, Doris Walker of Weinert and Vicki Dodson of Amarillo; a sister, Maxine Brewster of Andrews; two brothers, L.V. Drake of Lubbock and R.J. Rives of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Dennis Reed
Dennis Reed, 56, of Lubbock died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Suzanna; two sons, Scott and Brian, both of Denver, Colo.; a step-son, Geoffrey of Philadelphia; his mother, Lois; a brother, Jim of San Francisco; and three grandchildren.

Owen A. Hall
Services for Owen A. Hall, 90, of Lubbock will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Sanders Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Kevin O'Brien, pastor Bethany Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
He died on Saturday, April 22, 2000, at his residence.
He was born on June 24, 1909, in Noro Visa, N.M., and moved to the South Plains from Oklahoma in 1922. He married
Jewell Mae McFarland on November 21, 1931, in Plainview. She died on July 11, 1994. They moved to Lubbock in 1942. He farmed for several years before working for Buck's Irrigation and Western Body Works. He retired in 1980.
He was a Baptist.
A daughter, Billie Jean Hall also preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Hawkins of Lubbock; a son, Frank Hall of Lubbock; a brother, Roy Edsel Hall of Halfway; a sister, Irene Downey of Halfway; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Nelda Harper
Services for Nelda Harper, 57, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today at Franklin-Bartley Chapel with the Rev. Stan Blevins, pastor of Highland Baptist Church, officiating.

She died Monday, June 28, 1999, at University Medical Center.
She was born September 25, 1941, in Brownwood. She married
Jack Harper on June 10, 1961, in Lubbock. She had been a Lubbock resident since 1955, and was a graduate of Monterey High School. She was a housewife and a former employee of K-Mart. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Alicia Hollis, and Lynetta Willis, both of Lubbock; and six grandchildren.
Barry Williams
FARWELL - Services for Barry Wayne Williams, 45, of Texico, N.M. will be held 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the revs. Richard Laverty Greg Martin, Gene Christian, and Aaron Reed officiating.

He was born July 3, 1953, in Clovis, N.M. He graduated from Farwell High School and attended Texas Tech University. He married
Deb Chandler on September 3, 1971. He was a farmer for 28 years. He was a member of Texico Booster Club and First Baptist Church in Farwell.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Matthew, Tanner, and John Nathan, all of Texico, N.M.; a daughter, Jennifer Johnson of Farwell; his parents, Bert and LaMoin Williams; a brother, Mark; three sisters, Tracy DeVault of Farwell, Nicky Leithen of Dallas, and LeeAnn Blackford of Friendsville, Tenn.; and one granddaughter.
