HALFWAY - Services for Terry Alan Griffith, 35, of Amarillo will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gordon Benson officiating.
Burial will be in Plainview Memorial Park under the direction of Foskey-Lilley-McGill Funeral Homes.
He died Friday, March 10, 2000, in Dalhart.
He was born Aug. 27, 1964, in Plainview. He was a LifeStar EMS Paramedic for Northwest Hospital in Amarillo for six years. He taught at Amarillo College and was a member of First Baptist Church in Halfway.
Survivors include his father, Billy of Olton; a brother, Billy Wayne of Owasso, Okla.; and a sister, Teresa Adams of Olton.
The family suggests memorials to Olton Volunteer Ambulance Association.
Mary Rose
RALLS - Graveside services for Mary Timmons Rose, 37, of Lubbock will be at 1 p.m. today in Ralls cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Ralls First Baptist Church with the Rev. Buzz Timmons officiating.
She died Friday, March 10, 2000, at University Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 14, 1962, in Fort Worth. She graduated from Monterey High School and Texas Tech. She was a member of Association of Texas Professional Educators and lived in Lubbock most of her life.
Survivors include three sons, Austin, Justin and Michael, all of Lubbock; a daughter, Michelle of Lubbock; a brother, Phillip Timmons of Lakeview; and her parents, Wayne and Myra Timmons of Lubbock.
The family suggests memorials to the Texas Tech School of Human Sciences.
The family will receive guests at Ralls First Baptist Church after the service.
James Peters
PINON, N.M. - Services for James Stanley Peters, 83, of Lovington, N.M., will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pinon Baptist Church with Harvey Hebison officiating.
Burial will be in the Pinon cemetery under the direction of Bethany Funeral Home of Lovington, N.M.
He died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, in his Lovington home.
He was born Dec. 17, 1916, in Clay County, Ark. He married
Edna Young in Truth or Consequences, N.M. He lived in Sacramento, N.M., from 1968, to 1980. He was self employed during most of this time, and served as the Camp Ranger for the Boy Scouts of America at Camp Wehinapay for several years. He had also worked on a ranch in Pinon, N.M., from 1980 until 1987. He resided in Lovington, N.M. for the past 13 years and attended House of Prayer Church in Lovington.
Survivors include his wife; three daughter, Bonnie Curtis, Pat Sexton and Denzil Beaty, all of Kingsland; a step-son, Darrell Young of Lovington; two sisters, Deranda O'Bryant of Truth or Consequences, N.M. and Lucille Ritter of Thedalles, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Kyle Blanco
COLLEYVILLE - Services for Kyle Ryan Blanco, 20, of Southlake, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Baptist Church of Grapevine.
Burial will be at Bluebonnet Hills Park under the direction of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.
He died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, in Lubbock.
He was born Sept. 9, 1979, in Bedford.
He graduated from Carroll High School in 1998, and was an honor student at Texas Tech, majoring in finance/international business. He was a member of the fraternity Beta Theta Pi.
Survivors include his parents, Michael and Cathy Blanco of Southlake; brother, Michael G. Blanco Jr.; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M.H. Sanders of Hurst.
The family suggests memorials in lieu of flowers to Kyle R. Blanco Memorial Fund care of Texas National Bank, P.O. Box 92840, Southlake, 76092.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Friday.
Lester Short
BROWNFIELD - Graveside services for Lester Short, 80, of Brownfield will be 10 a.m. Monday at Resthaven cemetery with the Rev. Jack Garrett officiating.
Burial will be in Resthaven cemetery under direction of Head Family Funeral Home.
He died Thursday, June 17, 1999, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born Oct. 8, 1918 in Jasper, Ala. He married
Felma Tidwell on Oct. 25, 1942, in Jasper. He had been a Texas resident since 1946 and moved to Brownfield from New Home in 1957. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Le Neta Jeter and Jane Grizzle, both of Mansfield, Ala.; two brothers, Fred Short of Tennessee and Ivan Short of Kentucky; two sisters, Elura Gunter and Beatrice Myers, both of Alabama; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Donald W. Krieble
Donald W. Krieble Private graveside services were held Saturday, March 22, 2003. He died Thursday, March 20, 2003. He was born in Maquoketa, Iowa,Oct. 26, 1921.He attended Iowa State in Ames,Iowa.
He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II in the European Theater.He married
Lois Snook in 1947. He worked as an Iowa State Game Warden, after his tour of duty,for 4 years before going to work for the US Dept.of Fish & Wildlife as a game agent. He was transferred to Lubbock in 1952,where he remained until he retired in 1977.
He was a fifty-year member of the Masonic Lodge of Indianola, Iowa. During his retirement he enjoyed hand-carving decoy ducks from exotic woods and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by an older brother, Robert in 1974. Survivors include his wife,Lois;a daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Larry Strahan and a granddaughter, Jennifer Strahan, all of Lubbock; sisters, Dorothy O'Day of Livonia, Mich., Francine Sullivan of Covina, Calif.;twin sisters ,Jean- nette Moian of Livonia, Mich.and Jannis Johnstone of Tarzana,Calif. Bill Garner
Celebration of Life Services for Bill Garner, 80, of Lubbock will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Resthavenís Abbey Chapel with Pastor Terry Kirkpatrick officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2007. Billy Tom Garner was born May 31, 1926 in Floydada to the late John Wesley and Inez (Street) Garner. Bill was a resident of Lubbock since 1929. He served in the United States Army during WWII. Bertie Fay Williams Aug. 23, 1973. He was employed by LP & L July 22, 1949 and retired in Jan. 3, 1986 after 36 years. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Faye; daughter, Sharon; parents, John and Inez; brothers, John and George.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Barbara Whitney, Mary Jane Johnson and Wesley Thomas Garner all of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Bill will be greatly missed by his family.
Patricia Ann "Pat" Wright
Patricia Ann "Pat" Wright, 69, of Slaton passed from this life April 10th in Covenant Medical Center.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, in Englewood cemetery, with Rev. Steve Campbell officiating and under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton. Mrs. Wright was born Aug. 12, 1937, in Paducah, where she graduated from Paducah High School in 1955. Pat married
Howard DeWitt Wright on Jan. 27, 1957, in Paducah. Howard preceded her in death on May 4, 2005. She graduated from Sul Ross University and attended Texas Tech University. Pat began a 40 year education career with Slaton ISD in 1962. She was a member of the Slaton CTA, Kappa Kappa Iota and Slaton First United Methodist Church.
Pat is survived by her daughters, Teresa King of Slaton and Terrie Hartman of Canyon; three brothers; and a sister. Pat is also survived by five grandchildren, T. J. King, Robert King, James Hartman, Jessica Hartman and Jonathan Hartman.
The family will have visitation at the funeral home Friday, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
