She died Feb. 2, 1999, at her residence.
She was born April 16, 1938, in Hereford. She attended Dawn and Hereford schools and West Texas State College. She worked for Sunkist in Los Angeles County. She married
John Bustamant. She married
Jack Shearer, and he preceded her in death. She was a clerk for Melodyland Church.
Survivors include her father, Walter R. Galley of Burnet; a daughter, Xan Serocki of Littleton, Colo.; a brother, Clifford H. Galley of Burnet; and two granddaughters.
Janie Shu
HOBBS, N.M. - Graveside services for Janie Sue Shu, 54, of Hobbs will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Prairie Haven Memorial Park under direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
She died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at her residence.
She was born April 21, 1944, in Winnsboro.
Survivors include a son, Glen of Houston; a daughter, Kristina of Albuquerque, N.M.; three brothers, Hubert Hart of Hobbs, Jerry Hart of Norwalk, Calif., and Thomas Hart of Aztec, N.M.; and her mother, Dorothy Hart of Hobbs.
S.A. Followill
LIPAN - Services for S.A. Followill, 83, of Lipan will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Evergreen cemetery under direction of Wiley Chapel.
Followill died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in Palo Pinto Nursing Home in Mineral Wells.
He was born April 1, 1915, in Lipan. He was a retired teacher and coach. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He taught in the Panhandle and in New Mexico for 36 years, retiring in 1972. Two sons, John and Leroy, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Ruth Followill; a son, Fred of California; five daughters, Martha Lewis of Colorado, Sarah Turner of Cedar Hill, Beth Richards of Dallas, Maye Wilkinson of New Mexico and Jean Storelli of Lipan; two sisters, Mona Parrish and Mary Piland, both of Dallas; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cecil Mardis
HEREFORD - Services for Cecil "Curly" Mardis, 67, of Hereford will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fellowship of Believers Church with the Rev. Nathan Stone, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Muleshoe Memorial Park cemetery under direction of Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe.
Mardis died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
He was born May 13, 1931, in Clovis, N.M. He married
Marcia Henry on May 12, 1991, in Muleshoe. He was a member of the Texas Tech Saddle Tramps, Block and Bridle Club, Texas Tech Rodeo Association and a supporter of the 4-H Stock Show program. He was general manager for Stack C. AG Inc. A son, Bobby Henry, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Mike Henry of Lubbock; four daughters, Rhonda Bookout of Clovis, N.M., Sandra Burney of Portales, N.M., Kristi Di Mattia of Bradford, Mass., and Kacy Scoggin of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, H.B. of Clovis and Burl of Muleshoe; and 10 grandchildren.
Russ Fogerson
SLATON - Services for Russ Fogerson, 73, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Englunds Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Jim Bales, a retired minister, officiating.
Burial will be in Southland's Resthaven cemetery under direction of Englunds Funeral Service of Slaton.
Fogerson died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in University Medical Center.
He was born June 12, 1925, in Clovis, N.M. He attended Hobbs schools and graduated from Hobbs High School. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1947. He was a calf roper in the Texas Tech 1947 Rodeo. He served in the U.S. Army Calvary for two years, and he was a foot soldier in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 2466. He owned Russell's Drive-In Grocery from 1957 until 1975. He then worked in real estate until retiring in 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry of Southland and Tony of Orange City, Calif.; a daughter, Susie Bryan of Lubbock; two sisters, Charlotte Drennan and Elaine Cecil, both of Hobbs, N.M.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Rubie Ratjen
FLOYDADA - Services for Rubie Lee Ratjen, 93, of Floydada will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gene Hawkins, interim pastor of First Baptist Church of Ralls, officiating. The Rev. Anthony Sisemore, pastor, will assist.
Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park under direction of Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home.
She died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, in Floydada Rehabilitation and Care Center.
She was born May 1, 1905, in Hamilton County. She attended Price Community School. She married
Robert Augustus Ratjen on Aug. 2, 1925, in Swisher County. He died May 17, 1979. She moved to Providence community in 1925, and to Floydada in 1940. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Ardis Daniel of Floydada, Gloria Eden of Dallas and Gleva Smith of Floydada; a sister, Muriel Stark of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today.

He was born Aug. 25, 1928, in Lynn County. He married
Geraldine Carter on Feb. 14, 1945, in Seminole. He retired as a superintendent from El Paso Natural Gas Co., was a World War II veteran and a member of First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth Dolloff of Midland; two daughters, Sharon Burk of Denver City and Debra Looney of Levelland; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mable Gosdin
BROWNFIELD - Services for Mable Gosdin, 95, of Brownfield will be at 10 a.m. today in Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Mike McDonald, minister of Brownfield Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will be in Terry County Memorial cemetery.
She died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, in Brownfield.
She was born Aug. 7, 1903, in McCrory, Ark. She married
Clarence Gosdin on June 8, 1926, in Wichita Falls. He died May 13, 1967. She attended school in Fargo and Snyder. She and her husband owned a drug store in Lakeview. They moved to Brownfield in 1941. They owned Gosdin Drug. Her husband died May 13, 1967. She moved to Graham Lake in June 1977 and returned to Brownfield in October 1987. She was a member of the Church of Christ. A son, Harold, died March 5, 1996.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Andrea Espinoza
SEMINOLE - Prayer services for Andrea Espinosa, 99, of Seminole will be at 7 p.m. today in Primera Iglesia Bautista.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the same church with the Rev. Julio Flores and Rev. Glen E. Godsey officiating.
Burial will be in Gaines County cemetery under direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Seminole.
She died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in Seminole Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 27, 1899, in Chihuahua, Mexico. She moved to Seminole from Alpine in 1952. She was a founding member of Primera Iglesia Bautista. She worked at Winters Dry Cleaners, and she was a homemaker. Four sons, Antonio Ramos, Michel Ramos, Joe Ramos and Manuel Almodova Jr., and a daughter, Rosa Almodova, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Pete Ramos of Seminole; two daughters, Angelica Mary Luna of Seminole and Aurora Moreno of Alpine; five sisters, Luz Hersha of Pecos, Maria Jurado of El Paso, Amparo Vasquez of San Antonio, Consuelo Erron of Oxnard, Calif., and Susie Sommerset of Santa Maria, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Booth Robbins
Services for Booth H. Robbins, 68, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in W.W. Rix Chapel with the Rev. Elton Wyatt officiating.

He died Saturday, Feb. 13, in Covenant Medical Center.
He was born in McCamey on Nov. 26, 1930. He moved to Lubbock in 1935 and married
Patsy Joan McCrary in January 1956. He married
Joan Dawson on June 20, 1992, in Lubbock. He was member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Lubbock High School and attended Texas Tech. He served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Iowa during the Korean War and was a member of the Naval Reserve. He worked for the security force of the Atomic Energy Commission in Los Alamos, N.M. He later was employed by the Social Security Administration as a field representative. He was a member of the Yellow House Lodge 841 AF & AM and the Lubbock Consistory of Scottish Rite Masons.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy of Lubbock; three daughters, Sharon Kay Robbins Henry and Karen Robbins, both of Dallas, and Kristy Robbins Henniger of Newburgh, Ind.; a stepson, Andrew Dawson of Danville, Ind.; four stepdaughters, Jane Kat Dawson of Clemente, Calif., Mary Claire Tozzolino of Havelock, N.C., Sara H. Hyman of Clovis, Calif., and Judith A. Judd of Benbrook; a brother, Henry "Ike" Robbins of Lubbock; and 19 grandchildren.

Jim Massey

He died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center-Lakeside.
He was born July 10, 1935, in Houston. He moved to Lubbock in 1937. He graduated from Lubbock High School and Texas Tech with a degree in business. For 40 years he was employed by Southwestern Public Service in the marketing department. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Southwest Lubbock Rotary Club and Toastmasters International. He was an honorary member of the Carlisle Volunteer Fire Department. He married
Joyce Gillit in Clovis, N.M., in 1955.
Survivors include a son, James D. Massey of Round Rock; and two grandsons, Christopher and Brandon Massey.
