Christine "Ma" Ramsey
Christine "Ma" Ramsey, 91, of Stanton died on Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring, with Rev. Daniel Armstrong, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Stanton, officiating.
She was born on July 15, 1916, in Scurry County, and married
Wilford "Pa" Ramsey on Aug. 29, 1936, in Colorado City, Texas. He preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2007.
Christine was a lifetime resident of Martin County. She loved to travel and collected bottles, dolls and pictures. She was a member of Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Roger Fleckenstein; one son and daughter-in-law, Earl "Beaver" and Veneta Ramsey, all of Stanton; four grandchildren, Rance Ramsey, Paula Anderson, Cheryl Cook, and Ricky Fleckenstein; 10 great grandchildren; one great great-grandson.
The family suggests memorials be made to Home Hospice, 901 W. Missouri, Midland, Texas 79701 or to Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation, P.O. Box 400, Stanton, Texas 79782.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 7, 2007, at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbreath Funeral Home of Stanton.
Nellie Estell Hill
Services for Nellie Estell Hill, 99, of Brownfield will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2007 at Brownfield First Baptist Chapel with Ernest Smith officiating. Burial will be in Terry Co. Memorial cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Nell passed away Friday, August 3, 2007 in Brownfield. She was born Dec. 24, 1907 in Jacksonville, Ala. to Arthur and Julia Ponder Lusk. She attended Lou School in Dawson County. She married
Howard Hill June 28, 1925 in Brownfield. He preceded her in death Jan. 8, 1987. She and her husband farmed in the Union and Scuddy Communities in Terry County for many years. Nell loved quilting and crafts. She was a member of the Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was a member of Tate Street Church of Christ. Nell was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward H. and James D. Hill; three sisters and a brother. Her grandchildren will be pallbearers.
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Bearden and her husband Homer of Brownfield; two sisters, Ada McCarty of Grapevine and Cliffie Heasley of McClean; ten grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren.
Indalecio B. Gonzales
Funeral services for Indalecio B. Gonzales 83, of Lubbock will be 10 a.m. today, Aug. 7, 2007, at Pathway of the Cross Church, with Pastor Raymond Almaraz officiating.
Burial will be at Peaceful Gardens cemetery under the direction of Guajardo Funeral Chapels.
He died on Aug. 5, 2007, at Carrillon.
He was born on April 30, 1924, in Agualeguas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He married
Maria M. Hernandez on Dec. 26, 1954, in Alamo. He was a self-employed Carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Gonzales; one son, Joel (Nati) Gonzales of Lubbock; one daughter, Nora (Margarito) Gonzales of Lubbock; three brothers, Sebastian Gonzales of Indiana, Pragedes Gonzales of Laredo, and Christobal Gonzales of Chicago; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Dr. Homer Glenn Bagley
Dr. Homer Glenn Bagley was born Nov. 16, 1933, in Stafford, Kan., and went to be with the Lord Aug. 3, 2007, in Lewisville. Dr. Bagley was a graduate of Lubbock High School. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force, graduated from Abilene Christian College and Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry in Canada, Dodge City, Kan. and Waynesville, Mo., before retiring to Texas. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Dr. Bagley was a member of the Lewisville Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Patricia M. Bagley; two daughters, Gigi of Irving and Melodie and one grandson, Garrett of Sunrise, Fla., and one sister, Mary and husband Jim Hughes of Carlsbad N.M.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007, at the Lewisville Church of Christ, 901 College Pkwy, Lewisville, TX 75077.

Dr. Lawrence Ray Boggs Jr
Dr. Lawrence Ray Boggs Jr., 58, of Dumas, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, in Dumas. Graveside services will be held Monday, August 6, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Jori Buchenau, Senior Pastor of Grace Thru Faith officiating, assisted by Steve Simpson, Pastor of Worship at Grace Thru Faith.
Dr. Boggs was born Aug. 15, 1948, in Amarillo, Texas to Lawrence Ray Boggs, Sr. and Betty Jean Richardson Boggs. He graduated from Hereford High School in 1966 and on August 20, 1966, he married
Linda Kay Hammett in Cotton Center, Texas. That same year he began attending college at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, Texas and Texas Chiropractic College also in Pasadena. In 1970, he graduated and received his degree and in May of 1971, he opened his own Chiropractic practice, Dr. L. R. Boggs, Jr. Chiropractor, in Dumas, Texas. Dr. Boggs loved golf and reading and was a Mason.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Ray Boggs, Sr., in September of 1993.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; two sons, Eric Boggs and wife, Holli of Dumas and Warren Boggs and wife, Andrea of Amarillo; one daughter, Lisa Morgan and husband, Brady of Amarillo; his mother, Betty Boggs of Hereford, Texas; one sister, Derenda Deleon of Canyon, Texas; one god-daughter, Lacey Adams and husband, Steven of Lubbock; six grandchildren, Warren Lee, Julian, Gregory, Addison, Kirsten and Tyler Grace and his Jesus Kids.

Raymond D. Lindsey
The family of Raymond D. Lindsey, 74, put him in the hands of God and God took him in His arms Monday morning at Lubbock Heart Hospital. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, in Abbey Chapel at Resthaven, with Don Kubica and Lloyd Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
Raymond was born Dec. 23, 1932, in Hunt County, to Evert Benjamin and Mary Bell Matthews Lindsey. He married
Maureen Jetton on Aug. 16, 1952, in Greenville. He was a retired auto mechanic and had been a resident of Lubbock County since 1955. He spent years working with the Roosevelt summer baseball program and faithfully supported his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in every endeavor.
He was deeply loved and will be missed by his wife, Maureen; his children and their spouses, Sandra Kubica (Don), Randall Lindsey (Karen), Janis Stalcup (Tom), Roger Lindsey (Amy), and Renee Wallace (Chris); brother, Melvin Lindsey of Greenville; sisters, Faye Featherson (Jim) of Greenville and Sheryl McNeal (Ken) of Dresden, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gene Lindsey.
Due to medical problems of family members, the family requests that colognes and aftershaves not be worn to services and that in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to "The Refuge Outreach Center", 703 FM 1585, Lubbock, TX 79423.
Stephanie Dorsett Trammell
Stephanie Dorsett Trammell, 61, passed away in Dallas Wednesday, August 1 following a long battle with Crohn's disease and liver failure. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, August 6 at 1:30 p.m. at The Chapel of the Cross, 4333 Cole Avenue, Dallas, TX 75205. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to American Liver Foundation or Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.
Stephanie grew up in Lubbock, graduated from Monterey High School, and attended Texas Tech prior to moving to Dallas as a bride. She is survived by her husband, Bob; son and daughter-in-law, Trent and Karlyn Fuquay; grandson, Braeden Fuquay; sister, Dee Dick; niece and nephews; stepdaughters; great-nieces and nephews; and step-grandchildren.
Joyce Marie Smith
Joyce Marie Smith of Roaring Springs passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Roaring Springs First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Roaring Springs cemetery under the direction of Seigler Funeral Home of Matador.
Joyce was born in Roaring Springs on Oct. 10, 1924, to Lillian Hoyle Thacker and Melton Thacker. She graduated from Roaring Springs High School and attended Texas Tech University. Joyce married
Hobert Caldwell Smith on May 30, 1943, in Gladsden, Ala., days before his departure for service in World War II. Five years later, he returned and together they owned and operated Red Ball Gin and Smith Gas and Supply for 35 years.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Caldwell and sister-in-law, LaVoe Thacker.
Joyce was an active member of her community and a life-long Roaring Springs resident. She belonged to the Predicta Study Club, Texas LPG Association, Texas Cotton Ginners Association, National Cotton Council and First Baptist Church. Joyce helped lead the effort to restore the Roaring Springs Train Depot and enjoyed painting and golf.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Smith and son-in-law, Don of Coppell; granddaughter, Julie Marie DiPaolo and husband Brian of Houston; grandson, Chad Smith of Austin; great-grandchildren, Ellie Marie and Caden DiPaolo; and brothers, Buzz Thacker and Max Thacker and sister-in-law Jane Thacker.
Pallbearers will be: Joey Thacker, John Thacker, Jeff Thacker, Brad Thacker, Chris Thacker, Todd Thacker, Randy Moss and Ricky Moss.
The family suggests memorials to the Roaring Springs cemetery Association.
Wilma Shelton
Wilma Shelton, 79, of Childress, Texas died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2007 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Chad King and Rev. Kerry Wood officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Childress.
Wilma Helmstetler was born Jan. 13, 1928 in Quanah, to Charlie and Nora Hall Helmstetler. She and Ted Shelton were married
Sept. 19, 1955 in Childress. Wilma was an Eastern Star member as well as active in Childress Regional Hospice, Meals on Wheels, the Red Cross, Chaparral Good Sams Club, Union Flate Home Demonstration Club and First Baptist Church. Ultimately, she was best known as a loving wife, mother and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Wayne and Albert Helmstetler and one sister, Yvonne Fouts.
Survivors include husband, Ted Shelton of Childress; daughter, Judy Jones and husband, Rusty of Lubbock; daughter, Susan Steele and husband, Ron of Sachse, Texas; daughter, Joyce Atkinson and husband, Bill of Lubbock; son, Jim Shelton and wife Cindy of Clarendon; son, Gary Shelton and wife, Brenda of San Antonio; brother, George Helmstetler of Lubbock; brother, Holbert Helmstetler of South Park, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews; 12 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
