Maxine Cottingham
MIDLAND - Services for Maxine Cottingham, 82, of Hobbs, N.M., will be at 2 p.m. today in Resthaven Memorial Park cemetery in Midland under direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home of Hobbs.
She died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in Columbia Lea Regional Hospital.
She was born Oct. 4, 1916, in Wylie. She married
I.A. Cottingham in 1954. He died April 8, 1977.
Survivors include a son, J.L. Walker of Hobbs; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to the Good Sam Auxiliary.
Doral Brixey
CROSBYTON - Services for Doral Brixey, 71, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with Lester Griffin, pastor, officiating. Larry Yowell will assist.
Burial will be in Crosbyton cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
She died Feb. 10, 1999.
She was born Oct. 17, 1927, in Crosbyton. She married
Jack Brixey on March 21, 1944, in Crosbyton. She was a member of Crosbyton First Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teachers. She was a florist, and she worked in several flower shops. She opened Doral's Flower Shop in 1982, and she retired in 1996. She attended Big Four and Crosbyton schools. She and her husband lived and farmed in the Big Four community until 1963, when they moved to Crosbyton. Two sons, Dennis Jack and Buddy, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Kenneth Ray of Coleman; a daughter, Shirley Judean "Judy" McCurdy of Lubbock; a sister, Quita Powell of Ralls; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Brixey home on Friday.
Raymond Hatch
LAMESA - Services for Raymond Bryson Hatch, 71, of Cibola will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Branon Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Black, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Lamesa Memorial Park.
Hatch died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 22, 1927, in Lamesa. He married
Olga Mae Cobb on Feb. 28, 1948, in Coleman. He was a farmer, butcher and Realtor. He was a member of the Methodist church. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Anne Hatch of Houston and Becky Medlock of San Antonio; two sons, Randy of Austin and Steve of Houston; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Marion Bishop
Services for Marion Bishop, 71, of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Brownfield with the Rev. Ken McClung officiating.
Burial will be in the Terry County Memorial Park under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.
She died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 12, 1927, in Borden County. She worked as a nutritionist at Brownfield Regional Hospital from 1971 until she retired in 1990. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Brownfield.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Hart of Snyder and Jackie Payne of Hobbs, N.M.; three brothers, Leroy Barrier of Waco, Neil Barrier of Brownfield, and Jerry Barrier of Lubbock; a sister, Sandra Lumkin of Taylor; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Ruben Gonzales
POST - Prayer services for Ruben "Choco" Gonzales, 53, of Lubbock will be at 7 p.m. today in Hudman Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Templo Bethel Assembly of God with the Rev. Fredrico Guitron officiating.
Burial will be in Terrace cemetery.
Gonzales died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1999, in University Medical Center.
He was born March 31, 1945, in Post. He married
Ortencia Martinez in 1985 in Post. He worked in the oil field, and he was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ruben Dale of Post and Augustine of Lubbock; two daughters, Margaret Gonzales and Valentina Gonzales, both of Lubbock; a stepson, Leroy Herrera of Lubbock; a stepdaughter, Margie Martinez of Lubbock; three brothers, Ray and Rudy, both of Post, and Robert of Lamesa; four sisters, Olivia Salinas and Arcilia Barbosa, both of Post, Gloria Gonzales of Roswell, N.M., and Linda Trevino of Brownwood; and 13 grandchildren.

She died Monday, Feb. 8, 1999, in Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.
She was born May 5, 1923, in Portales, N.M. She married
Gene Poolhaha on Oct. 11, 1940, in Clovis, N.M. She was a member of Causey Baptist Church. She graduated from Lingo, N.M., High School in 1939. She was active in the Homemakers Club at Lingo and Causey.
Survivors include her husband; three sons, Sidney of Lingo, Wesley of Morton and Norris of Levelland; a daughter, Joyce Lynn Pool Hartsell of Clovis, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Robert Bone in 1954, in Clovis, N.M. He died Dec. 19, 1989. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Hereford. She was a high school cafeteria worker.
Survivors include two daughters, Lovina Sambrano of Hereford and Judy Hester of Hobbs, N.M.; two sons, Brian of Hereford and Robert of San Diego, Calif.; four brothers, Larry Hardesty and Stanley Hardesty, both of St. George, Utah, Jack Hardesty of Houston and Albert Hardesty of Granbury; a sister, Bonnie Healey of Grand Prairie; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was born on Sept. 2, 1917, in Frost. She moved to Lubbock from the New Lynn Community in 1934. She married
John Lockartt in 1936. He preceded her in death in 1973. She married
Wayne Miller on May 30, 1975, in Lubbock. She was a cafeteria manager for the LISD, retiring in 1978. She was a member of the South Plains Christian Fellowship.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Doris Andrews of Lubbock; a son, Michael Wayne Lockartt of Lubbock; a stepson, Carroll Miller of Cheyenne, Okla.; a stepdaughter, Terry Miller of Sayer, Okla.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; one step-great-grandchild.

Rosemary Bednarek
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Rosemary Anderson Bednarek of Gainesville died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, at her residence. She was 63.
She was born in Charleston, W.Va. She moved to Gainsville from Akron, Ohio. She was a member of the University Women's Club, Gainesville Garden Club and Gainesville Barnacle Busters. She was a registered nurse at Shands at AGH. She was involved in underwater research for the University of Florida. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include her husband, Alexander R.; four sons, Robert A. of Greenwich, Conn., Andrew R. of Washington, D.C., Thomas C. and Eugene P., both of Gainesville; a brother, Charles Anderson of Lubbock; and five grandchildren.
Georgie Hooper
LOVINGTON, N.M. - Services for Georgie Anna Hooper, 75, of Lovington, N.M., will be at 2 p.m., Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Broom officiating.

She died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, in Hobbs Health Care.

Bonnie Berger

She was born Dec. 3, 1898, in Floyd County. She moved to Seminole in 1906. She moved to California and returned to Seminole in 1960. She married
Fred Berger on June 16, 1923, in California. He died in 1944. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a member of the Senior Citizens.
Survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Rome of Sacramento, Calif.; a brother, Andy "Mutt" Bowers of Seminole; and a granddaughter.
Mary FitzGerald
RUIDOSO, N.M. - Mary Ruth FitzGerald, 85, of Ruidoso died Saturday Feb. 20, 1999, in Ruidoso.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under direction of LaGrone Funeral Chapel of Ruidoso.
She was born Dec. 27, 1913, in Weatherford.
She moved to Ruidoso in 1974 from Stamford and lived there until she moved to Lubbock in 1989. She moved back to Ruidoso in 1994.
She was a retired school nurse and a member of Community United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, James Gordon FitzGerald of San Antonio; a daughter, Johanna Anderson of Ruidoso; three sisters, Vee Burge of Gulf Shores, Ala., VeletaConroe and Eva Lena Atkinson, both of Conroe; and four grandchildren.
