Guadalupe Jimenez
Prayer Services for Guadalupe Chavez Jimenez, 67, of Lubbock will be at 7:00 p.m., August 17, 2010 and funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2010 in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jose Jimenez officiating and Reverend Steven Baker assisting. Burial will follow at Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jimenez went to be with her Savior on August 13, 2010. She was born August 23, 1942 in Three Rivers, TX to Cornelio and Pabla Chavez. She married
Erineo Paiz Jimenez on March of 1957 in Sinton, TX. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother whose main focus in life was her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, two sisters and a son, Robert Jimenez, Sr.
Loved ones include her husband; Erineo; her children; Ernest Jimenez, Rudy “Radar” Jimenez, Daniel Jimenez, Erieno “Eddie” Jimenez, Jr., James Jimenez, Ruben Jimenez, Albert Jimenez, Hilda Martinez and Delia Jimenez; brothers, Cornelio Chapa Chavez, Jr. and Raymondo Chapa Astrica; sisters, Geronima Luna and Juana Trevino; 23 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Royce E. Lane
Royce E. Lane was born Feb. 2, 1926, to Jesse and Irene Trim Lane. He married
Barbara Thomas June 16, 1972, in Lubbock. Royce worked for LP&L; as a shift foreman for 32 years. He then owned and operated Lane Bookkeeping and tax preparation, retiring in 1995 with his wife. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; five children, Pam Lofland, Vern Hudnall, Fran Shaw and Noel Lane, all of Lubbock, and Laura Goodwyn of McKinney; seven grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and four sisters.
We would like to share our gratitude for all the prayers, love and support that everyone has shown us during this time.

Mr. Lane a lifelong resident of Lubbock, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2003 at the age of 77.
Frank Dunaway
Services for Frank Dunaway, 71, of Slaton will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Bible Baptist Church in Slaton, Texas. Burial will be in Idalou cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
He went to be with the Lord August 10, 2010.
Frank was born March 3, 1939 in Chavies Ky. but was raised in Crossville Tenn. He came to Lubbock while in the Air Force and stayed after meeting Patricia Hardin. They married
on June 13, 1960. She preceded him in death November 19, 2001.
He retired from Central Freight Lines, as a truck driver, after 43 years of service.
Frank is survived by one son, Tim Dunaway of Lubbock; two daughters, Toni Ulm and husband Charles of Slaton and Tama Dunaway of Plano; three sisters Margie Tabor of Louisville, Ky., Roberta Wood of Richmond, Ky. and Madge Inman of Dayton, Ohio; two brothers, Tom Dunaway of Crossville, Tenn. and Phillip Dunaway of Louisville, Ky.; sister-in-law, Freedonia Paschall of Lubbock and brother-in-law Floyd Hardin of Childress; four grandchildren, Eric Dunaway, Jerry and Randy of Lubbock and Shanda of Newcastle; one great-granddaughter, Emily of Newcastle; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friend Marcella Thomas.
He had a great love for nature and raised horses and cattle.
Frances Smart George
December 24, 1928 – September 15, 2010
Fran George made her final graceful exit on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Her five-year fight with cancer completed, she leaves a grand legacy of unconditional love for those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Fran was born on December 24, 1928, in Artesia, NM, to William A. Smart and Armandene Hooper Smart. She is survived by her adoring husband of 42 years, Weldon George, and her daughters: Pam Campbell (partner, Martha) of Houston, TX; Pat Campbell Greenwood (husband, Chuck) of Woodbridge, VA; Jan George Siegfried (husband, Ron) of Easton, PA; and Sylvia George Zinn (husband, Tom) of Kansas City, KS. Fran is also survived by the grandchildren who loved their “Franny” and will miss her dearly: John Eric Greenwood, Ryan Greenwood, Jeremy Siegfried (wife, Samantha), Khari Siegfried, Tracy Zinn Schulte (husband, Todd), and Shari Zinn Covell (husband, Bob). Great-grandchildren who benefitted from her loving heart include Cooper Greenwood, Phoebe and Eden Schulte, Lucy, Ellie, and Annabelle Covell, and Lileighana Siegfried.
Fran graduated from Levelland High School at the age of 16 and attended Mary Hardin Baylor on a One-Act Play Scholarship. She transferred to Texas Tech to further her education. Later Fran worked as an executive secretary and as a full-time mom and wife for many years. She loved to travel, to read, to wonder about the world, and to visit her girls. She will be truly missed by friends, family, and neighbors.
A celebration of Fran’s life will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010, at 1:00 pm, at Second Baptist Church, 6109 Chicago Avenue, Lubbock, TX, 79424.
Tributes to Fran may be expressed through donations to the Salvation Army.
Condoy Hill
Graveside services for Condoy Lee Hill, 69, will be at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Resthaven Memorial Park. Memorial services will follow at 4:00 p.m. at Sanders Memorial Chapel under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Condoy passed away October 1, 2010 in Lubbock.
He was born on May 4, 1941 in Spur, TX to the late Floyd and Audrey Hill. Condoy graduated from Lubbock High School in 1960 then served in the U.S. Air Force. He married
Wanda Lee Smith on October 15, 1966 in Abernathy, TX. Condoy worked for Sears then U.S. Food Service.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda of Lubbock; sons, Lance Hill and wife, Linda, Norman Hill and wife Glynda; granddaughters, Mandy Hill and Jana Hill-Bennet, all of Lubbock; cousins, Jerry Tooke, Charlene Dumas, Jean Beason, and Phil Kerr; brother-in-law, William Smith; and many, many friends. A son, Stephen Hill preceded him in death in 1985.
Memorials can be made to the Lubbock State Supported Living Center.
Thelbert Miller
W. Thelbert Miller, 89, of Lubbock, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, July 13, 2010.
Thelbert was born to L. D. and Ida Miller on the family farm in the Plainview Community, near Seymour, on September 22, 1920. He married
Susan Shipman on May 3, 1943. She preceded him in death on September 27, 2009. Thelbert was also preceded in death by his parents, his four brothers, and a daughter, Susan Kathleen Miller.
Thelbert graduated from Seymour schools and Texas Technological College. He was a Naval Aviator during WWII, flying with the VB 109 Squadron in the Pacific Theater. His group made some of the first bombing runs on the Marshall, Truk Islands, Iwo Jima, and other Japanese strongholds. He later taught agriculture at Midwestern University and Texas Tech. Thelbert also sold insurance, real estate, and Amway with Sue. He and Sue also worked with Single Parents in their church.
Thelbert is survived by his children, Ann Norris, Jeri and John Emrich of Lubbock, Bette and John Hope of Levelland, and “Buddy” W. T. Miller, Jr. and Anne of Austin, eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at Sanders Funeral Home on Friday from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Second Baptist Church with Senior Pastor Ryon Price officiating. Private interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
Bryan Kelly
Bryan Kelly, age 30, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2003. Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, on February 14, 1973, he was the son of James and Lynda King Kelly. Employed by Oak Hills Pest Control, Bryan also attended the Oak Hills Church of Christ. Mr. Kelly is survived by his Wife, Crystal Kelly; Son, Kevin Aedan Kelly; Parents, John T. and Lynda Leeson of Fair Oaks Ranch; Grandmother, Jewel Kelly of Chesterville, Mississippi; Grandfather Bill King of Diamond Head, Mississippi; Sisters, Jinnifer Connell of Paducah, KY, Betsy Kelly of St. Louis, MO, Stephanie Mann, Dr. Shannon Little, and Stacy King;
Brothers, John Leeson, IV and James Leeson; Uncle, Morris King. Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The Funeral Service was on Wednesday, April 16 at 1:00 P.M. at the Vaughan Funeral Home with Dennis McDonald, Officiating. Burial followed in the Boerne cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jesse Vicknair, Chris Gentry, Jay Sexton, James Leeson, John Leeson, IV, and Morris King. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorials to the Trust Fund at Frost Bank 9090 Fair Oaks Parkway at IH 10, Fair Oaks, Ranch, TX 78015 for Crystal and Aedan.
Carl Lambert, D.V.M.
Carl T. Lambert, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, died on Friday, July 16, in Lubbock, TX, at the age of 96. Dr. Lambert was born April 26, 1914 in Denver, CO, to Jack and Celia Lambert. Soon afterwards the family moved to Los Angeles, CA. After Carl graduated from high school he enrolled at Utah State in Logan, UT for several years and then went on to Colorado State’s School of Veterinary Medicine in Fort Collins, CO and graduated in 1942. He practiced veterinary medicine in Visalia, CA for more than forty years until he retired in the late 1980’s.
Dr. Lambert was preceded in death by his second wife, Billie Mae Harter Lambert, and his second son, Mark J. Lambert. He is survived by two sons, Norman M. Lambert and his wife, Barbara A. McMullen of Fresno, CA, and Kent P. Lambert and his wife Ramona, of Bellingham, WA, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Sander’s Funeral Home in Lubbock on Monday evening July 19, 2010, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at the City of Lubbock cemetery on Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at 11:00 a.m.
